Author's Notes: It's tentative, but I do think I'll be finishing the story any day now, and I should have regular updates once it's done.
Kurt was staring at the wall. He’d already counted the cracks in the ceiling (he’d have to do something about that), and now had moved on to counting the holes in the walls from when he’d moved his pictures around (he’d have to do something about that too).

He hadn’t slept. He couldn’t close his eyes, because every time he did, he could only see Karofsky’s face looming above him, or feel Karofsky’s lips on his. He was all cried out by this point, and a grim resignation of what had happened had set in.

Kurt heard the door to his room open, and spoke without turning over. “Carole, I said I’m fine, honest. Go to work.”

Footsteps crossed the room, and weight pressed down on the bed behind him. “It’s not Carole.”
Blaine’s voice washed over him, and Kurt rolled over with a gasp. “Blaine, what?”

“I had to see you,” Blaine said.

“So you just hopped on a plane?” Kurt asked, incredulous. Blaine nodded.

“You needed me,” he said. “There was nowhere else I could be right now.”

“But – the show, and…” Blaine pressed a finger to Kurt’s lips, and Kurt stopped talking.

“It’s okay,” Blaine told him. “I took care of it, don’t worry.”

Kurt moved before he’d even realized he done it, throwing himself into Blaine’s arms. “I’m so glad you’re here.”

*

Blaine made a shushing noise when Kurt whimpered in his sleep. The two of them had talked about what had happened, and then Kurt had confessed to not sleeping at all. Blaine had convinced him to lie down, and Kurt had promptly passed out. Blaine didn’t mind though, as it meant that Kurt was currently sprawled out on his chest, his arm curled tightly around Blaine’s waist as if he was afraid Blaine might disappear while he was asleep.

Blaine enjoyed the time, watching as Kurt slept and stroking his fingers through Kurt’s hair. It was one of the few times he’d been allowed to touch the silky strands, and he was taking full advantage of it.

Carole had poked her head in just after Kurt had fallen asleep, a worried look on her face.
“He’s not sick, is he?” she had asked. Blaine shook his head. “Is he okay?”

“I don’t know,” Blaine had replied.

“Do you know what’s wrong?” He’d just nodded.

“It’s not for me to tell,” Blaine had told her. She’d sighed, and then left for work after promising to call and check on them later.

Blaine knew that he had to convince Kurt to tell his parents what had happened. There was no way this could be allowed to continue. This Karofsky guy had threatened Kurt’s life. He knew Kurt would be against it, but he had to try.

Kurt shifted again, and then his blue eyes blinked open to meet Blaine’s. Blaine gave him a gentle smile, which Kurt returned.

“I thought maybe I dreamed you,” Kurt murmured, his voice heavy with sleep.

“Nope,” Blaine replied, grinning.

“You’re resisting the urge to make a ‘Teenage Dream’ joke right now, aren’t you?” Kurt asked, rolling his eyes.

“And if I was?”

“Good instinct,” Kurt replied. Blaine was glad to see Kurt acting a little more like himself. Kurt shifted and stretched, pulling away from Blaine and glancing at the clock. It was after lunch.

“Are you hungry?” Blaine asked. Kurt shook his head.

“I’m just going to go freshen up for a second,” Kurt said, slipped out of the bed and disappearing into the bathroom. Blaine straightened the sheets on the bed, and moved into a slightly more comfortable position. Kurt came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, crawling back into the bed next to him.

“Hi,” Blaine greeted, wrapping his arm around Kurt’s shoulders. “Feel better?” Kurt nodded, but he was biting his lower lip, and looking at him with a worried expression. “What?”

“Can you…” he trailed off.

“Can I what?” Blaine prompted, looking into Kurt’s eyes.

“Can you kiss me?” Kurt whispered out the question, his eyes wide, and his cheeks flushed.

“Oh,” Blaine felt his own eyes widen in surprise. “Are you sure that’s what you want?”

“Yes.” Kurt was still whispering. Blaine hesitated, staring deep into Kurt’s eyes. “Please, Blaine.”

“Okay,” Blaine agreed, moving closer, and then finally pressing his lips lightly to Kurt’s. He lifted his hand and caressed Kurt’s cheek, and Kurt deepened the kiss and Blaine exhaled loudly.

“Kurt-" Blaine broke away from the kiss, unsure if they should be doing it at all.

Please,” Kurt nearly whimpered. “Please, I need this.” He pulled Blaine back in, and Blaine let him. They kissed, mouth’s opening and tongues tangling. Blaine couldn’t help the moan that escaped, and was pushing Kurt onto his back and half lying on him before he realized what he was doing.

“Is this okay?” he whispered.

“So, so okay,” Kurt murmured, his mouth trailing along the side of Blaine’s neck. “Just, don’t… don’t stop, okay?”

“Yeah,” Blaine breathed, finding Kurt’s mouth with his. He let his hand slide down Kurt’s neck, and then settle at the first button of Kurt’s pajama top. “Off?” Blaine asked between kissed.

“Yes,” Kurt replied, no hint of doubt in his voice, no hesitation. “Yours too.” Kurt’s hands pulled at his shirt, tugging it over his head, and tossing it onto the bed beside them. Blaine started in on the buttons on Kurt’s top, glad there were only a couple of them. Kurt sat up as Blaine pushed the fabric off his shoulders into a puddle on the bed. Kurt pushed it away, seemingly not caring that it was silk, and pulled Blaine back in.

Blaine found himself shifting as Kurt tugged him, and he ended up kneeling between Kurt’s legs, hovering over him as they kissed. He was held up by his shaking arms, and he wondered if Kurt could feel him trembling.

He had never wanted someone so much in his life. As if Kurt was reading his mind, he put his hands on Blaine’s hips and urged Blaine down until they were flush against each other.

Blaine let out what was probably an undignified sound, but he was too far gone to care. He could feel Kurt, all of him, and he was dizzy from it. Kurt rocked his hips upward, and Blaine moaned. “You sure?” he asked in Kurt’s ear.

“Yes,” Kurt whined, moving again. “Come on, Blaine.”

Blaine needed no further encouragement, his hips meeting Kurt’s every motion as they moved together. Kurt was panting little gasps of air as Blaine sank his mouth down on Kurt’s neck.
Kurt made a keening noise, and stiffened up. Blaine froze for a moment, looking at Kurt’s face and marveling at his beauty for a moment. He’d done that to Kurt, made him fall apart in the best way possible. Kurt met his gaze with a shy smile after a moment, and then Kurt’s hands were on his hips, and Blaine moved again. He went slowly, knowing Kurt might be sensitive, kissing Kurt until he was swept over the edge.

*

“Wow,” Kurt finally found his voice.

“Uh huh,” Blaine agreed, actual words seeming to be too much for him as he rolled off Kurt and onto his back. “Not that I’m complaining, but what brought that on?”

“I just… I needed you,” Kurt found himself unable to meet Blaine’s gaze. He had no idea what had come over him. Blaine had kissed him and Kurt… Kurt had needed more. “It was… good, right?”

“Yes,” Blaine exhaled. “Good doesn’t even get close.”

“Oh, really?” Kurt turned on his side, and propped his head on his hand, elbow on the mattress. “Do tell.”

“It was… orgasmic,” Blaine answered, grinning. Kurt let out a delicate snort, and Blaine laughed.

“Okay,” Kurt said, after they managed to calm down. “I think I need a shower.”

“Same,” Blaine agreed. “Meet you back here in fifteen minutes?”

Kurt nodded, glad that Blaine seemed to understand that while he was okay with what had just happened, Kurt wasn’t ready to get fully naked with him just yet. Blaine slid off the bed and grabbed his bag, headed for the bathroom down the hall.

Kurt hurried in to his adjoining bathroom, and took the fastest shower of his life. He took a few extra minutes to do a shorter version of his skin care regime, and then slipped on clean clothes. He examined the fresh hickey on his neck with a sigh, and found a scarf that matched his shirt in the closet, wrapping it around his neck.

Blaine came back in the room as he was finishing, and set his bag in the corner. “So,” Kurt began. “How long are you staying?”

“Until tomorrow morning,” Blaine answered. “I have to hop a flight out in the morning and go from the airport straight to the set.”

“Blaine, you really didn’t need to fly all the way out here,” Kurt bit his lip.

“I love you, and you were hurting,” Blaine said, pulling Kurt into his arms. “There was nowhere else I’d rather be.” He kissed Kurt quickly. “Now how about a late lunch?”

Kurt nodded and let Blaine drag him downstairs to the kitchen.

*

“You know you have to tell your dad, don’t you?” Blaine finally brought up the subject they’d been avoiding all day. Kurt put down his fork and huffed.

“No, I don’t, Blaine.”

“Kurt, this guy threatened to kill you and gay or not, you can’t deal with him alone,” Blaine protested.

“I can’t just… out him, Blaine. That would be horrible,” Kurt replied.

“But if you don’t tell someone, he might make good on his threat,” Blaine pointed out. “He’ll still be gay, but you’d be dead.”

“That’s not fair, Blaine,” Kurt muttered, picking his fork back up and stabbing his garden salad viciously.

“No, it’s not,” Blaine agreed. “But I’d rather Karofsky get outed than you get killed.”

“I got it,” Kurt snapped. “I’ll tell him tonight, okay?”

“Good.”

*

They spent the rest of the afternoon snuggled up together on the couch watching a movie. “I’m glad you came,” Kurt broke the silence. Blaine smiled at him.

“Yeah?”

“Yeah.” Kurt snuggled closer. “I don’t want you to go.”

“I know,” Blaine replied softly. “Sometimes I feel like I’m being unfair to you.”

“Why?” Kurt looked at him.

“Because you shouldn’t be tied down to a guy who’s thousands of miles away, that’s why.”

“Well, first, it’s not like I have many options banging down my door,” Kurt told him. “But even if I did, I’d still only want you.”

The sound of cars pulling into the driveway and doors slamming interrupted their conversation.
Kurt froze, his heart beating wildly in his chest.

His parents were home.

Thank you so much! :D

AHHH. this is way too amazing. keep writin and never stop.

I'm so glad I could help make you feel a little better. :DThank you!

So, I was having this awful, emotionally stressful day. Nothing was going right, & NONE of the stories I'm following were updating. And then this updated. It is, potentially, the only thing that has gone right all day. So, thanks for giving me 10 minutes of not feeling awful. :-)

LOL. Thank you so much!

Eeeee parents coming home! Oh teh dramas! Lol sorry, just letting go of some of my over-excitement that built up from reading this chapter. I really love the premise for this story, and it's great you are managing to work in a lot of parallels from the tv show.

Thank you so much! :D

I am equally excited for more frequent updates, as well as dreading the end of the story. I really, really like this AU.

There will be at least 15 more chapters, so it'll take a few more weeks before it's done. :DThank you!

thank you for updating...I will be sad to see this story end :(

Unf this was just wonderful. I love you, you know that?

:D I love you too.

LOL, next update will be either Friday or Saturday (depending on what I have going on). Thank you!

Heh, the next chapter actually skips some time, but yes, Burt was mad until Kurt told him the truth. (I might do this conversation as a one shot).Thank you!

Oh no! Damn Karofsky...I can see Burt getting angry when he sees Blaine, thinking he just skipped school. But this impending conversation should be interesting...

OMG, THAT'S AMAZING!!!! :DThank you!

Need another update soon... OMG! My life became this story last night. I sent Naya a candy bouquet for her birthday two weeks ago. It was actually delivered on her birthday, Jan 12. I didn't think anything of it until I received a direct tweet from Naya last night! She said she just found the candy arrangement in her trailer and she thanked me for it. And that tweet went out to her over 500,000 followers! Immediately, hundreds of her followers retweeted her tweet and my followers increased by over 100 in a few hours time. Wow! Now I want to see what happens to Kurt and Blaine in this story!

grrrrrrrrrrreat chapter

well they made it to second base
