The gym was somewhat dark with a few overhead lights turned off, the stands were filled with all of the students of the school, and the Cheerio's backs were to the audience. Some of the football players sat in the first rows of the bleachers while others sat with their friends, Karofsky smiling in his new jersey as he waited for the Cheerios to perform so he could see his best friend happily perform again.

The pep rally was supposed to be out in the football field, but due to the rain, they had to have it in the gym. Which really, nobody was complaining about it.

Kurt couldn't help it. Something was pulling his head to the side. He turned his head sideways and looked from the corners of his eyes.

Something.

Something was telling him to look at someone. His eyes fell on smiling Finn. But then his eyes fell on a stranger next to Finn with gelled-back dark curls, wide and unhappy caramel brown eyes, fists clutched together under his chin, and a shocking sight of an outfit. Thanks to Kurt's fashion sense, he could depict each and every clothing article like he was some psychic or something. The stranger was wearing a Brooks Brothers V-Neck Sweater with Tipping, Brooks Brothers Stripe Bow Tie, some sort of navy blue dress pants, and brand spankin' new Sperry Top-Sider shoes. Impressive fashion tastes, Kurt had to admit. But the fact that the stranger was staring right back made Kurt somehow feel nervous.

Kurt leaned over slightly at Santana. "Who's that kid sitting next to Finn?" he asked.

Santana rolled her eyes like it was a bother, turning her head to the side to get a glance. She turned back and shrugged her shoulders. "Beats me. All I can tell is he's some type of dorkified hobbit."

Kurt snickered at her comment. The way she said things at times made her seem so funny but a the same time, judgmental and bitchy. But that was just Santana. Santana had curly dark, raven hair, brown eyes, tan skin, and a body to make her one of the best Cheerios on the squad.

Suddenly a light shined on them and music began playing. Waiting for the right time, the whole Cheerios squad moved together in a dancing trance that left everyone in the bleachers speechless. They danced to "Headstrong" by Ashley Tisdale. Not a bright choice in the music part, but the routine fit it perfectly. And what mattered was the the audience was enjoying it.

When the routine was over, the gym lit back up to normal and the crowed roared with cheering and clapping as the football players ran into view and began jumping up and down, fist-pumping in the air for the game. Sweat dripped down every Cheerio's back thanks to how stuffy the gym was. The cheerios disappeared into the locker rooms while the band took over the attention and a few Cheerios stayed to help cheer on the football players as Coach Beiste grabbed the microphone and spoke to the crowd and her team, soon letting Dave give a speech to the players, which turned out to be moving and impressive.

Kurt was the only guy in the locker room. He sat there, stupefied as his thoughts tried to grasp on who that stranger. Why did he look so familiar.

Blaine Anderson.

Of course that guy looked familiar. He was the new Blaine Anderson...which was weird being that just two years ago, he was someone completely different. He sure changed. And Kurt was someone interested in knowing him now.

When he changed into some regular clothing so he could take his Cheerios uniform home to wash, he stepped out into the school hallways, where everyone was now digging into their lockers to head home. The rally was over and Kurt was just glad that he had a few hours to get his uniform washed so he could come back and practice for tonight's simple game routines.

He froze mid-step when he heard a splash of slushy somewhere behind him followed by the voice of Azimio Adams (a popular football player who loves to bully others more that Dave ever did) saying, "Welcome to Loserville, Anderson!". Oh no, Kurt thought to himself as he turned around to find Blaine frozen at his locker with red slushy dripping down his hair and chin. Kurt cringed, debating whether he should help or not.

He couldn't help himself.

He marched over to where Blaine still stood frozen, shocked at what had just happened. "Here, let me help you," Kurt said in a kind voice.

Blaine let out a shocked breath and wiped his eyes clear so he could look at Kurt. He didn't say a word. Kurt just motioned his head towards the boy's bathroom and Blaine easily moved along side of Kurt.

Kurt opened the door and steered Blaine to the sink where he grabbed a handful of paper towels and began dragging slushy off of Blaine. For the left over stickiness, Kurt grabbed another handful of paper towels and wet them as he then handed them to Blaine. "Here, wipe yourself off," Kurt said as he put his hands under the sink's tap, letting the water wash away the stickiness given to him from helping Blaine get the slushy off.

"Kurt Hummel helping me. Now this is something different," Blaine finally spoke. His voice was low and somewhat sarcastic, but there was a thank somewhere in that tone.

"Don't flatter yourself Anderson. I know what it's like to be slushied. Never thought that the slushier would be the one to get slushied one day, huh?" Kurt couldn't help but say. He made sure to keep his voice light with a friendly edge to it.

Blaine chuckled, hissing at the stinging of the corn syrup that dripped into his eyes. "No," he said.

"Well I have to get home. Need my Cheerios uniform washed before tonight's game. Glad to see you've return to McKinley in one piece for once." Kurt turned his back and opened the bathroom door.

"What's that supposed to me?" Blaine asked in a curious tone.

Kurt turned his head to look at Blaine with a calmed expression. "You've changed."

Blaine wiped a wet towel over his face for the hundredth time, hoping it take away the sticky-feeling. "And you haven't, I see."

Kurt just gave him a smile and left the bathroom, leaving Blaine standing by the sink with a heap of wet paper towels beside him and a trashcan full of paper towels full of the slushy that was dumped on him.
