Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer
Blaine was looking down at his scar, lost. He traced the line which started on mid-wrist on his right hand and went down to the start of his palm. This was also thanks to Kurt.
"It's been a month since we won at Regional's, now it's time to start thinking about Nationals, which are happening in New York again!" Mr. Shuester entered the room with pure enthusiasm as Sue followed closely behind him
"We're going to have to work real hard, because for all I know your win was a fluke," Coach Sylvester clapped her hands together and stated her opinions frankly
"Sue, please... Just take a seat," Mr.Shue rubbed his temple as he rolled his eyes, "What Sue means to say is that we did great but now we need to work harder! We're going to win just like last year!"
The glee club had quite a few new members, although they were still considered dorky and losers, they had won last year and many had been inspired to continue. The juniors from last year were now seniors, which consisted of Blaine, Artie, Tina, Sam, Joe, Brittany, Rory, and Sugar. There were also five new members one of which was Puck's younger brother Jake and his best friend Mason Jenner who were also on the football team, Santana's younger cousin Adrienne Iglesias who was the opposite of her cousin and there were two identical twin sisters Casey and Camille Jacobsen who were only able to be differentiated because of the way each dressed.
Blaine made friends with all of them and they all liked him too, he was also part of the football team now. He tried his level best to get rid of any thoughts of Kurt. He made friends with a lot of people this year, only because last year he seemed to always be around Kurt and it was only near the end of the year the boys and him became friends.
Blaine remembered Tina, Brittany, Sugar and Adrienne were all with him the day Kurt broke up with him. They were having a movie night at his home when Kurt called all of a sudden.
"Blaine what happened?" Tina asked with wide eyes as she looked up from the television screen which was playing La Vie Boheme at the moment.
"I... I don't know," Blaine sat down rubbing his eyes, "He broke up with me..."
"But you just said you didn't know what happened?" Brittany tilted her head
"Brit just hold on," Adrienne patted her hand, "Blainers tell us exactly what he said,"
Blaine recited as much of the conversation as he could remember without crying hysterically again. "He said he met someone else," Blaine rubbed the back of his neck and in a rage picked up the closest thing next to him, and smashed it to the floor. It happened to be glass as it pierced his hand scarred his wrist, as blood flowed out.
"Blaine!" the girls screamed, as Tina ran up to him and took him to the sink. Blaine watched helplessly as the blood whirled around in the sink, mixing with the water. He watched as the girls picked up the crushed vase on the floor. He couldn't say anything. He was still in shock from the phone call.
"Blaine it'll be alright," Sugar smiled reassuringly as Blaine as she patted his bandaged hand.
"No, it won't..." Blaine whispered into the air, "It won't,"
"Blaine, we're here for you... I promise!" Adrienne replied shortly, as the girls nodded their heads
"I know... but can you guys leave... I'm sorry but please I need some time alone,"
Blaine didn't know what to do anymore. He couldn't keep watching this film it reminded him too much of Kurt. This was the first play they went to go watch together. All the songs they sang from this film. And the girls, he didn't want to depress them. He shook his head firmly sticking to his decision. "Please, I really want to be alone..."
"Well just don't break anything else, because then Tina won't be there to fix it," Brittany shrugged her shoulders
"So I think Blaine will have a solo, then the girls will have a song with Tina, Adrienne and Camille in the lead vocals and then there will be a final group number!" Mr. Shuester wrote out his plans on the white board and looked out at the kids for any objections.
"Blaine," Tina hissed from beside him
"Yeah what happened?" Blaine asked as he was snapped out of the memory.
Mr. Shuester raised a brow, not understanding what had come through Blaine; he had always been attentive and enthusiastic. "Well, Mr. Shue just said you're getting a solo!" Tina smiled and gave him two thumbs up
"Oh cool, that's awesome!" Blaine nodded his head and smiled half-heartedly, "did we decide on any songs?"
Mr. Shuester and Coach Sylvester spent the rest of the class arguing over songs for Nationals and Blaine sat back and listened trying not to get caught in any horrible thoughts.
