Forgive & Forget

Blaine wasn’t the first or the last person to enter the choir room on Monday morning. Sam, Finn, Mercedes and Rachel all stared at him threateningly while Mike and Brittany looked shocked to see him unaccompanied by his new girlfriend.

“Um...can I sit with you guys?” Blaine asked directing his question at Kurt who was sitting staring at his phone in between Rachel and Sam.

“Um, what do you think?” Rachel glared. Blaine automatically backed away and went to sit with Mike and Brit who totally ignored him.

Slowly the rest of glee club came. They all went out of their way to stare at Blaine and Santana even butted him out of his chair claiming it was hers. Blaine went to sit with Puck and Quinn but they stood up and moved away the second he sat down.

“Right, ok guys so has anybody got anything to show us today?” Mr Schue smiled around at the room.

Rachel’s hand immediately shot up, “Well Mr Schue, I was working on a classic Broadway piece from one of the original Broadway shows...”

“Um, Rachel...do you mind if I go first?” Everybody looked at Blaine.

“I...I...um...I...” Rachel, for once, seemed to be speechless.

“Sure Blaine,” Mr Schue tried his best to smile.

Blaine stood up and walked to the front of the choir room.  “So, I know I’ve been a jerk over the last couple of weeks. I haven’t been thinking straight, well I kind of have considering the fact that I tried not to be gay.” Blaine laughed slightly. Everybody else just sat there and glared at him. But to Blaine’s happiness, Kurt looked up from his phone. “Um, anyway,” Blaine continued. “I just want to apologise to all of you. I’m sorry that I brought Kayla in even though it was obvious she really didn’t give a shit about any of you. And I’m sorry to Rachel, Finn and Mercedes for hurting Kurt so bad and I know that Rachel you wanted to slap me every time you saw me and I don’t blame you because I deserved it. And Finn you kind of knocked some sense into me so I have to thank you for that. And I’m most of all sorry to Kurt. Really I am, for everything I said to just two weeks ago. It was all untrue, I was in denial and I was stupid and I...I just didn’t appreciate you because you mean the world to me.”

Everybody was looking between Kurt and Blaine. Blaine let his gaze drift to Mercedes who was nodding, then to Finn who looked half convinced and then to Rachel who was scowling.

“So yeah. I prepared a song last night really want you to listen Kurt and I want you to forgive me. Please.”

Blaine looked hopefully at Kurt. Kurt’s beautiful pale face had relaxed into a gorgeous smile. He walked over to Blaine and kissed him. Blaine couldn’t believe it had been weeks since they kissed, the kiss was so relaxed and delicate and perfect.

“So you forgive me?” Blaine whispered as he pulled away.

“How could I not? Your songs are always so amazing.” Kurt laughed.

Blaine smiled, “Well, you know, I am very very talented.”

“Cocky much.”

“But it’s so true!” Blaine laughed.
