I’ll Never Forget You
Kurt and Blaine stood in the doorway of Kurt's house. Blaine took Kurt's hands in his and stared into his tearful eyes. It seemed like only a week ago that they had met. Sadly that was not true.
Kurt could barely see the perfect features of Blaine's face through his blurry tearful vision. All too quick, way to quick. It was only yesterday that Blaine had kissed him, when they had been at Dalton. No, it had been a long time ago...
"I don't want to go Blaine. Honestly, I just want to stay here with you," Kurt whispered.
"I know...but you have such an amazing opportunity! You have to take it while you can," Blaine said.
"But New York...it's just so far away. Too far away."
"Not as far away as Canada," Blaine pointed out.
Kurt dropped his head, his tears became uncontrollable. There was a long pause in which both of them let the tears run down their faces.
"Are we going to break up?" Kurt asked.
"Not unless you want to," Blaine smiled, "You don't want to, do you?" he added worriedly.
"Of course not. I want us to be together forever."
"And one day we will be." Blaine reassured Kurt.
Blaine wrapped his arms around his boyfriend. Kurt felt safe and warm in those protective arms, the ones that, only a month ago, he couldn't even think of leaving behind.
"I love you Blaine Anderson."
"And I love you Kurt Hummel."
"Um...Kurt. We have to go now," Carole said tapping Kurt on the shoulder.
Kurt nodded and Carole went back to the car.
"Well, this is goodbye," Kurt said looking at Blaine.
"Yeah I suppose so, you have to go or you'll miss your train. But we'll see each other soon I promise."
Kurt nodded and without having to think about it kissed his boyfriend. Their perfect lips pressed together and their arms squeezed each other tightly for one last embrace.
Kurt pulled away and walked to the car. He looked out of the window, Blaine was staring at him with a tear streaked face and red puffy eyes. Then the car started. Kurt saw Blaine run down the path and onto the street but they both knew Kurt had to go, he had to leave. Kurt knew that Blaine's promise would be impossible to keep and that the time when they would see one another again would never quite come soon enough.
