Chapter 15.
A Wine Drinker?
"Thank you for that.. lovely piece of uh... music, Kurt." Dad said.
I laughed and slid out of my seat belt. "See you later!" I opened the door, catching a glance at Blaine who was walking down the street, holding what looked like a bottle of wine.
He waved a hand at me, I smiled and sighed with content. Dad's horn beeping me a bye, I watched as he drove away.
"Wow, you look nice." Blaine's voice said behind me.
I turned and summed him up also, He was wearing bright purple skinny jeans with a white shirt, complete with a purpe bowtie. "You also," I nodded.. "Really nice."
He grinned, "Come on, I want to find something to open this up with." He gestured to the wine in his hand, swinging it beside him.
The other hand grabbed mine and pulled me quickly with him, jumping up the steps. He pressed the doorbell to which Rachel answered with one of her big smiles.
"Good evening gentlemen, the party is downstairs in the basement!" She stepped aside to allow us to walk into the hall.
Blaine looked around as he walked through the hall, pretty impressed with what he was seeing.
"My dads don't want to be disturbed so they're on the top floor while we party on the bottom." She pointed to the stairs.
"Oh." I nodded, grabbing onto the banister.
Apparently we were the last ones to arrive. We took the remaining two seats, which happened to be two bean bags. Blaine had to keep himself upright with his hand against the wall, his cheeks blushing. There were floating balloons and a table full of knick knacky food. In the background a low sound of music was playing, A party blower sounded from Puck who had flopped forward.
"Well, this is fun." I said, they turned their eyes to me in an instant.
"This is my first party." Rachel giggled, standing in the centre of the room. "Is everyone having fun?"
"We're drinking tropical juice.." Santana grumbled.
"I brought wine." Blaine, gestured to the bottle in his hand.
"Bowtie kid, you are my new favourite person." Puck commented fast.
"It's Blaine." I corrected.
"What's wrong with the juice?" Rachel asked, her voice reaching that higher tone.
I looked at Blaine, Finn in the background had raised an eyebrow behind her. He gestured to her back, while holding onto the bottle behind him, clear liquid. Vodka. He smirked and started pouring the contents into the tropical juice, it soon became clear what Finn wanted us to do. "Oh, Rachel." I grabbed her attention. "Do you like my new shoes?"
"They are gorgeous, where did you get them?" Blaine answered instead.
I crossed one leg over the other, happy for the attention.
Finn put his thumb up and went to deposit the bottle.
"You know what, I really want some juice." Brittany stood up.
"What about you?" Blaine asked. He popped the top of the bottle and took a swig.
I wasn't much of a drinker, I say that like I just drink a little. The thing was, I haven't been really drunk properly before. I'd had a little on occasions but I'd never really counted that. He was looking at me though, staring at me really. I didn't want to lose face in front of him. What if he thought I was a little boy? I took the bottle from him and swallowed a mouthful. I coughed, "Augh," I wiped my mouth hearing him laugh.
"Not a wine drinker? I'm not really either, apart from Rose now that's nice." He took another swig.
"I just drink whatever is going." I shrugged.
I had no idea why I just said that.
"Want some juice then?" He pointed, "Maybe that won't be as strong tasting."
Was he mocking or?..
"Sure." I nodded, taking a plastic cup.

10.. 13? Oh I don't know, a lot of drinks later.
I had to sit down. The music had gotten a lot better, the atmosphere was more like a party but god.. I was finding it hard to concentrate on one thing, it kept moving which then created more of a blur. Rahcel was screeching with excitement, her whole body hitting the pillows on the sofa that had been piled up.
"You alright?"
I turned to my right. "Finn, is that you?" I went to grab his face.
"In your dreams, eh?"
I blinked trying to focus on the face, a wobbly smile came into focus and I smiled back. "Blaine." I swallowed.
"Great party, right?" He asked, moving an arm around my shoulders.
My breath stopped.
"I was worried." He slurred. "Because. I thought it'd be really awkward." His words came out really fast, he leaned his body weight onto my side, trying to balance. "You're really kind, Kurt. Really lovely." His hands were messing with the buttons of my waistcoat.
"You think so?" I whispered, trying to keep my eyes focused.
"I think so alot." He nodded.
"Spin the bottle!" Brittany shouted through the room.
Blaine's gaze turned from me and he cheered with the rest, arms going into the air.
So, Blaine was a happy drunk.
__
The bottle spun, landing on Finn. To everyone's surprise, or not, it had landed on Rachel. Rachel shrieked with excitement and jumped at him.
I was starting to sober up a bit, things were still blurry but the room wasn't spinning as fast. I blinked. The bottle was facing me, and you know when you really want one of those remotes where you can just pause and set the tape to rewind? Yeah about that..
"You should kiss Blaine." Rachel grinned her eyes greedilly looking from the pair of them.
So that magic remote? Does anyone know of one?
"Kiss Blaine." Rachel looked at Blaine and then too me, no this was where I wanted the magical remote to pop up, maybe a pause button?
2 seconds of no one speaking, no one moving.
5 seconds of nothing happening at all, I was just staring at him in disbelief.
10 seconds? Wheres that remote?
"Kurt's shy." Finn winked, I swallowed. "Go on, it doesn't mean anything."
That's where he was wrong.
Blaine shrugged and leaned forward, his lips touched mine in a second and the kiss was over. He smiled and sat back, I felt the little air left in my lungs escape and the spinning was back, my stomach hummed and my lips were on fire.
