Chapter 2.
"Oh, don't you just love Christmas?" Rachel grinned.
Kurt carressed his mug with his hands. "If it wasn't so cold."
Blaine had his hood up. The fluff around the rim covered some of his face. Kurt shot him a smirk, which Blaine answered with a raise of his eyebrows.
"When does your dad leave, Kurt?"
"Oh, he left this morning."
"Really? God I am so jealous. New York.." She sighed and her mind was transported somewhere else for a few seconds. "I'd have been right at his heels."
Kurt shrugs, "Things have changed. I mean I still want to go to New York. Just things I need to do before that."
"Like actually getting into NYADA," Rachel smiled. "Which you will have no problem in doing, so."
"You guys seem to come here quite often." Sebastian caught a glimpse of them while collecting his coffee.
Kurt rolled his eyes mechanically, while sipping his drink. He coughed and Blaine put an arm around his shoulders.
"Careful. Would be awful if you choked." Sebastian winked. "At your audition I mean. I overheard you talking. I didn't realise you had your heart stocked so high, Kurt. I'd have thought of you being more in theatrical makeup.. So you can cover that face with whatever is needed to make it look less of uhm.. animal."
Blaine flinched to the side of him, knocking the table.
"Blaine, No." Kurt said.
Sebastian tilted his head. "I didn't think you believed in violence, Blaine. Especially when there's a woman in the equation."
"Oh, please. I completely agree with him. Your face deserves a right slap." Rachel said in one breath.
"Oh, I didn't mean you." Sebastian turned a quirky eye towards Kurt.
"You can hit him now." Kurt said bluntly, calmly taking another sip of his drink.
"You'd think you'd show me some sympathy, Kurt. Considering you are the one who stole my boyfriend. Cheating on me."
Kurt sighed. "He does have a point."
Sebastian grinned. "Can I join you guys?"
"No." Blaine answers for everyone. "You promised me you wouldn't listen to him anymore." He turned to Kurt.
"I'm not listening to his lies, technically I did sort of steal you from him."
"He should have treated me better. Don't go feeling sorry for that loser."
Sebastian coughed. "I am still here."
"I wondered what that smell was."
He gasped. "Blaine, has it really come to name calling now? How preschool of you."
Blaine sat back in his chair and sighed. "I moved out to get away from you, yet you still manage to follow me around."
"I just overheard your conversation. I thought it was interesting, since I am heading in the same direction."
"Since when?" Blaine raised his eyebrows.
"I've always wanted to go down that path. If you'd of paid attention to me, you'd have known that."
Sebastian took the spare seat next to Rachel. She annoyingly rolled her eyes at him and moved over slightly, he stirred his drink.
"We're doing buisness talk.." Rachel's voice had gone higher.
"If it's for Nationals you're screwed because our number is incredible."
"It's not for Nationals.. we wouldn't be that stupid to discuss with ears like yours around." Blaine said dryly.
"Well you might consider changing back to our school then. Once you hear what we're doing." He winked towards Kurt, who looked away quickly.
"It's getting late guys and we still don't know what songs we're doing." Rachel mumbled.
"Do they know it's christmas." Kurt nods.
She wrote it down.
"Are you guys doing a christmas show or something?" Sebastian asked.
"We're doing it for charity." Rachel explained to him.
"What about the song we did." Blaine said, gesturing to Kurt.
He shrugs. "If we perform it without getting distracted. I guess it could be an option."
"Can I come?" Sebastian interrupted our banter.
We all looked at him with the same expression.
"Why would you do anything for charity?" Blaine scoffed. "You're the most selfish person I know."
"Exactly for that reason," Sebastian shrugs. "Maybe I've seen the light." He paused as their expressions neglected to change. "Oh come on, I want to help."
"We could use some more people?" Rachel shrugged, considering the options.
Blaine was looking at Kurt, desperately trying to conjure up some excuse through eye contact.
"Why not? We're meeting at 12 tomorrow." Kurt answered.
"Awesome. I'll see you guys there." He stood and smiled, departing with his coffee.
"That was interesting." Kurt muses.
"Nothing good can come of this." Blaine shakes his head.
Kurt finishes his drink. "Nothing bad can happen. It's a charity event. He has to behave."
"I'll have to leave my visit. I'm not letting you be on your own with him."
"Uhm no. You're going. Go visit your aunt. I am going to look after myself for once." Kurt stood.
Blaine was giving that look, that 'please' look he did when he begged. Where Kurt would reconsider what he was doing, and chose to accept Blaine's reasoning.
"Don't give me that look, Anderson."
"Finn wants to meet me, I've got to dash." Rachel grabbed her purse. "See you tomorrow."
"You'll regret getting Seb involved, Kurt."
Blaine stood to meet him.
"You need to stop worrying so much." Kurt sighed. "Let me prove to you that Sebastian can't threaten us, nothing is going to break us."
Blaine smiled weakly.
"Come on, I'm getting tired." Kurt yawned.
