It was a typical Wednesday morning in history class. Kurt was about to answer the teachers question when he felt his breakfast coming the opposite way that it was supposed to go. He put his hand on his mouth and stormed out of the room. The other students looked at each other with confused expressions on their faces. Blaine looked after Kurt and was on his feet the moment he asked for permission to go after Kurt.
Blaine ran after Kurt to the bathroom and found him in one of the stalls, emptying his stomachs content. He moved behind him and rubbed his shoulders.
"Baby, what happened? Are you okay?" Blaine asked him with concern in his eyes and sat behind him to hold him.
"I dont know. Ive been feeling nauseous this past week. I feel like death." Kurt said as he got up with Blaines help.
"Why didnt you tell me or go to a doctor?" Blaine asked him seriously. He took a tissue and whipped the cold sweat from his forehead.
"I dont know. I just dont feel like its something important maybe I have some kind of stomach bug or something." He opened the cold tab and splashed some water on his face. He felt a shiver going down his spine and felt dizzy for a second. He stumbled to get his footing back but Blaine caught him to his chest.
"Whoa whoa, we are taking you to the nurse if not the hospital." Blaine told him with a firm voice and helped him to his feet but didnt let go of him.
"I think thats a good idea." Kurt said as he felt dizzy again.
Blaine helped him dry his face and took him to the nurse.
"Hey guys come in, whats wrong?" The kind nurse asked them.
Kurt looked at Blaine and back at the nurse.
"Ive been feeling a little nauseous this past week and I cant keep my food down." Kurt told her in a quiet voice.
"Okay, why dont you sit down, and you can go back to your class." She looked at Blaine with the last comment.
"No, he can stay, he is my boyfriend." Kurt told her quickly.
"Yeah I dont wanna leave him alone." Blaine added.
"I know but I have strict rules that no student is to miss class for another student. He is gonna be okay, I promise." She told him with a kind smile. She looked like she could be 28 years old. Not like those grumpy old high school nurses. She was awesome.
Blaine looked at Kurt and asked him "Are you sure youre gonna be okay?"
"Yeah... Yeah of course" Kurt told him and squeezed his hand.
"Okay. Ill meet you here after I end history, okay?" He squeezed back with an assuring smile.
"Yeah, see you." Kurt said and Blaine left the nurses office.
"So... Kurt why dont I check your physical health and then we can talk a little. "
"Ummmm... O-Kay." Kurt said with hesitance.
"Dont worry." She said simply.
She checked his throat and temperature and blood pressure and his ears and nose but there was no sign of any cold or infection.
"Tell me about your symptoms." She asked with concerned eyes.
"Um... I told you Im nauseous and I cant hold my food down, sometimes I dont like the smell of the food and I really am not a fan of sweets but recently I just want them so bad." Kurt told him with a bored face.
"Umm... Can I ask you something?" She asked.
"Uh sure." Kurt said a little nervously.
"Do you have an active sex life?" She asked carefully.
"I...ummmm...I...y-yes." Kurt became crimson the moment she asked the question and stuttered with his answer.
"Have you--umm had unprotected sex before?" She asked again with kind eyes.
"Mmm.. Well me and Blaine, my boyfriend. Weve never ummm... been with anyone else so... Its... Its not a big deal to not...you know-" Kurt said nervously.
"Uuuhhhmm" she nodded as she looked at her notes.
"Have you ever heard of a carrier?" She asked him carefully.
"N-no." Kurt said.
"A carrier is a man who is able to conceive and hold a baby for nine month." She said with her linear voice.
"I... I dont understand..." Kurt said carefully.
"Umm... Kurt I think that you may be pregnant but we cant be sure you need to be tested, so dont worry until were sure Kurt." She said and put her hand on his knee.
Kurt stared at her with no emotions what so ever.
"Kurt? Kurt are you okay?" She said with concern.
"Wh-wh-wht do you mean, P-pregnant?" Kurt asked as he blinked sharply to stop the tears from falling.
"Kurt, honey?" Blaines voice brought Kurt out of his daze and looked at Blaine. He looked at Kurt and saw tears; he came further in the office.
"Baby, whats wrong?" Blaine asked and tried to comfort Kurt by taking his hand but Kurt pulled away.
"Wait for me outside please?" Kurt asked with his quivery voice.
"I... Sure." He looked at the nurse and back at Kurt with concerned eyes and stepped outside.
"Are you sure?" Kurt asked the nurse thought his tears.
"No.... There is a 30% doubt in my mind but I think you should go to the hospital immediately." She told him with a sympathetic but kind and caring smile.
Kurt looked at his hands in his lap and you could see the tears streaming down his face he put one of his hands on his flat stomach and clenched at his shirt as he cried.
"Kurt its gonna be okay, everythings gonna be fine." She said as she rounded the desk and hugged him.
"Thanks. I think I should go. Can you not tell my parents anything yet, I just need to be sure first." Kurt told her with pleading eyes.
"Yes, of course but I think you should tell your boyfriend to take you to the hospital today." She said seriously.
"Yeah I will thank you." He got up and went to get out.
"Youre welcome." She said and smiled.
Kurt opened the door and exited the office to see his boyfriend pacing the hallway, please please please dont leave me, Kurt thought.
