Kurt looked down at his wrist in mentioning, shaking his head to himself. He didn’t really have much time to react as the musician upped and left and Kurt was left in some internal battle - follow him or just let it be and sort it out another day when Blaine hadn’t been drinking or was in some better mood or the timing was just a bit better. The actor groaned loudly to himself, mentally scolding himself for everything he’d done or said. It was hard for him to believe that this ending wasn’t actually just inevitable no matter the lies or the truth and that’s what made it frustrating. He picked up the glass and the note quickly, practically bursting through the door and slamming both items down onto the bar, ignoring the curious glances and the shouts of ‘where the hell do you think you’re going?’ He couldn’t believe he was doing this, not exactly knowing what he was going to say or do, but regardless he couldn’t let someone walk out when they clearly weren’t okay. He pushed open the front doors with his shoulder and glanced in each direction, groaning loudly to himself when he couldn’t spot Blaine. Okay, so he was going back to the dorms which meant in all likelihood he’d turned right. Kurt rubbed a little at his arms to get them accustomed to the cool air in contrast to the humid, stuffy heat of the bar and took off right at a quick pace, looking around frantically until he spotted the familiar figure. “Blaine!” He winced a little at his shrill call, jogging to catch up to the music major, frowning lightly as he stopped a few steps away. “Is everything okay?”

Blaine shrugged his shoulders a little at the cold air, maybe he should have grabbed a jacket before he left the music room…or maybe he just shouldn’t have left it at all. But it didn’t matter, he couldn’t change the past, as much as he’d like to wish he could. Slipping a hand out of his jean pocket he ran a couple fingers through his hair, pushing his bangs back into place, his hand automatically getting cold before he pushed it back into his original place. When he heard his name being called he instantly stopped in his tracks, raising a slight eyebrow and hesitantly turned to see Kurt jogging after him. Surprised would have been a major understatement for how he felt about the sudden appearance, and honestly it only made him more confused about what was going on between the two of them. He noticed how chilly the actor looked, and once again wished he had a jacket, not for himself but at least for Kurt to throw on. Blaine wanted to lie, tell him that everything was fine and that he had no reason for following him out onto the street. But how could he? He wasn’t much of a liar, and lying to Kurt nearly seemed impossible for him. “No, not really. But I’ll be fine, you should probably head back before you freeze, you look pretty cold and I’d give you my jacket if I had it but I left it in the music room,” he said, his gaze never leaving the other man’s face. And here’s where his curiosity started to kick in…why did Kurt run after him? Surely if he was busy working and he had other things to do - which I thoroughly respect and would rather not bother him - then why was he here? Standing in front of him asking if everything was ‘okay’? He never once mentioned anything being wrong with him, quite the contrary it was Kurt who had said he had a lot on his plate, not Blaine.
