Blaine sat patiently in his seat, leaning his side against the edge of the table with his elbow propped on its surface and rested his cheek in his hand. His free fingers delicately running down the glass of beer, playing with the condensation drips that were rolling down the side of it. Really it was just a way to distract himself from whatever Kurt was doing, because it was hard enough to pay attention when he felt like he had done something wrong, let alone to accept the fact that he was just trying to stay away from him. But eventually he glanced up nonetheless, his fingers still moving aimlessly along the cool glass as he noticed how tired Kurt seemed. Blaine opened his mouth to comment on it but thought better of it, best not to draw attention to it. He let his eyes finally drop to the glass again, wondering why in the world Kurt would be apologizing for anything, usually it was Blaine who’d be apologizing for anything and everything. He was always the one to mess up after all. Lifting his face out of his hand he leaned away from the table and picked up his glass to take another drink. Once he had put it back down, empty and all, he turned back to Kurt, taking a breath and just letting it out, “You really don’t have to apologize, honestly. And I don’t blame you for not saying anything, clearly you are busy. But I understand if you have something - or multiple things - going on, trust me I do. I just…” Blaine finally glanced away for a moment, his gaze lingering on the empty glass beside him before he sighed and ran a couple fingers over the back of his neck and underneath his collar, “…I don’t know, I just thought I did something wrong.”
