Author's Notes:

might add more to this later...hmmm..

pretty please write a review? I love to write but it's so much better knowing that there are people out there who want to read my writing.

The sound of the phone ringing cut through the silence in the library.

The gunman, who had been impatiently pacing in front of all the hostages, froze in his steps, “All right, nobody try anything funny when I'm on the phone, got it?” he twirled around, pointing the gun at each hostage at least once. He walked behind the desk and answered the phone.

Kurt didn't even try to listen to the conversation. The less he focused on what was going on around him, the more he could distance himself from the situation. He placed himself on the floor in front of Blaine's couch, watching Moulin Rouge and looking into his boyfriend's eyes as the sang along to come what may.....

“All right.” The man's voice shook Kurt from his daydream and suddenly he was back in the library, there was nothing special about the man's voice, but it sent shivers down Kurt's spine, “They're sending someone in. You better pray for all of your sakes that they can meet my demands.”

For the first time since this whole situation started, Kurt glanced towards the see – through glass doors of the library. He could see part of the crowd that had gathered but mostly he saw police vehicles and police officers.

Someone, who was clearly a civilian, was speaking to a rather small officer, a woman. After speaking for a moment, the woman gave a friendly pat to the civilian and they started towards the library.

As they got closer, Kurt squinted his eyes to get a better look.

No.....

The figure was definitely familiar.

Kurt's heart rate picked up.

It can't be.....he would never......

They were finally close enough to see and Kurt's stomach dropped.

Blaine

I will kill him. If we both get out of here alive, I will kill him myself for being so stupid.

But he couldn't really be angry at Blaine. He knew that, if their positions were reversed, he would be doing exactly what Blaine is doing. Do anything he can to save the love of his life.

His relief was almost tangible when Blaine stepped into the library, his eyes instantly scanning the crowd until his eyes locked with Kurt's. Suddenly, they were both taking the other in as much as they could in that brief moment. Eyes, hair, skin, everything they thought they might never see again. On, instinct, Kurt's body shifted as if to get up and go to Blaine. The latter quickly shot him a warning look, it was taking all of his will power not to take Kurt in his arms but Julia's words rang through his mind: Do not let him know that you are personally connected to anyone in there. You are just in there because we picked you at random.

The moment left as soon as it came and then Blaine was starring down the barrel of a gun.
