"I missed you last night." Blaine mumbled against his skin. Kurt smiled sadly, kissing Blaine's curls.
"I did too, but you know how important Friday night dinners are to my family. I wish I could've stayed with you, but I'm glad you had your friends here with you." Kurt said softly, a hand running through Blaine's sweat-drenched curls.
"Me too, it was nice." Blaine admitted, "It helped me get my mind off of everything." Kurt smiled.
"That's good. You need to have something’s that will help you get your mind off of this. You need an escape." Kurt stated. Kurt shifted a bit before lifting Blaine's face up to look in his eyes. Blaine smiled at him and leaned up to kiss Kurt's lips softly.
"You could help me get my mind off of it." Blaine reminded him in a coy voice as they kissed. Kurt sucked in a deep breath and nodded quickly.
"That definitely sounds like a great idea," Kurt whispered against Blaine's lips. Kurt pressed in harder before he flipped them so Blaine was underneath him. "This okay, B?" Kurt asked, pulling away slightly. Blaine nodded before leaning in and kissing Kurt softly.
"More than." He breathed, and the boys' lips were joined again. Kurt's hands made their way up to Blaine's face, cupping it as he nipped at the older boy's lips. Blaine whimpered softly, his hands hesitantly rubbing up and down his boyfriend's sides. Kurt groaned, finally leaning his weight on Blaine. Blaine sucked in a deep breath before letting his hands settle on the small of Kurt's back. Kurt shifted a bit, leaning down to mouth at Blaine's jaw. The movement made his hips shift, slotting his erection right above Blaine's. Blaine froze, eyes squeezed shut before he moaned and put pressure on Kurt's back.
Kurt paused his ministrations, "You alright?" He asked breathlessly, hands squeezing Blaine's sides. Blaine nodded before nuzzling his face into Kurt's neck.
"I'm perfect, Kurt, just don't stop." He breathed. Kurt swallowed before he continued mouthing at Blaine's sensitive neck. Blaine gasped, moving one hand up to thread through Kurt's hair while keeping the other on Kurt's back. Kurt smiled against Blaine's neck, biting gently as he sucked a hickey into Blaine's easily-bruised skin. Blaine whimpered again before his hips shot up, causing both boys to moan at the friction of their erections pressing together.
"My God, Blaine," Kurt panted, nuzzling his nose into Blaine's new hickey. Blaine moved his head to press an open mouthed kiss to Kurt's temple.
"Kurt," Blaine muttered, "Kurt, touch me," He begged. Kurt whined against his neck, moving to mouth at the place where Blaine's neck became his shoulder. "Kurt, Kurt plea-" Blaine cut off rapidly, eyes widening and his hands pushed Kurt off of him just in time before he leaned over the bed and began throwing up on the floor.
Kurt, who was confused and a little bit hurt when Blaine had pushed him away, was now looking at his boyfriend in concern. After sitting frozen on the bed for a moment, he leaned over at began to rub circles into Blaine's back to sooth him as he got sick. Blaine whimpered, causing Kurt's heart to clench. "Blaine, are you okay? Is it over? Do you want something, water, juice, your medication, some food?" Kurt asked him gently. Blaine whimpered again before shaking his head.
"N-no," He said weakly, not moving from where he was leaning over the bed, "Can you just go?" Blaine asked in a broken whisper. Kurt froze; Blaine didn't mean it, he was just under a lot stress right now. He just didn't want Kurt to see him getting sick like this.
"No, I'll be right here with you through everything. I promised; you know I never break my promises." Kurt told him sincerely. Blaine was shaking where he sat. Kurt leaned closer, moving his hand to Blaine's shoulder. "Blaine, ple-"
"JUST GO KURT!" Blaine shouted, turning to face his boyfriend. Kurt leaned back, eyes wide in shock. Blaine's eyes were swollen and red with tears, though his skin was otherwise pale. He looked sickly and shaken and weak. Kurt knew he shouldn't be alone right now; he needed someone with him. "I'm sorry," Blaine deflated, dropping his eyes to the comforter. "I just want to be alone right now. I'll call you later when I'm feeling better, I promise." Blaine assured him. Kurt pursed his lips; he was stuck between a rock and a hard place. He wanted to stay and make sure Blaine was alright, but at the same time he knew that Blaine was feeling weak and like he wasn't in control of anything. Blaine had never liked that feeling, Kurt knew Blaine hated that he was around to see him like this right now.
"I don't know, Blaine," Kurt said, unsure, "You shouldn't be alone right now, and I won't be here for very long. You know I have to work at my dad's shop this afternoon. Just until two, I promise I'll leave right after that. We don't have to do anything, we can just cuddle on the couch watching TV and I can take care of you." Kurt suggested, slowly moving closer to Blaine, putting his hand gently on Blaine's. "Please Blaine; don't push me away right now." He murmured. Blaine looked at their hands, Kurt's snow white one covering Blaine's sickly pale one.
"Help me to the living room," He said softly, not looking up. Kurt smiled softly; he knew he had won this one.
Once settled in the living room, Blaine lying snugly against Kurt's chest after having taking his nausea medication and eaten a small snack to sit in his stomach, they began watching Cinderella, Blaine's favourite Disney movie; Kurt gently trailing his hands up and down Blaine's sides.
"Do you feel alright, B?" Kurt asked softly when Blaine whimpered softly into his t-shirt, face hidden in the thin cotton material. He pressed his lips gently into Blaine's dark hair.
"I'm fine," Blaine mumbled, pressing in closer to his boyfriend. He sighed happily before he spoke again, "I'm just glad you didn't leave when I told you to. I need you here, Kurt. Please don't forget that." Kurt looked down and smiled at the smaller boy before kissing Blaine's temple.
"I promise; I know you're going through a lot right now and I promise never to leave you alone in your time of need. I'm your boyfriend, it'd be pretty crappy of me if I left you when you when you needed me the most." Kurt told him honestly. Blaine gave him a sated smile, looking up at Kurt through his lashes. Kurt looked away from his boyfriend quickly as he felt his face flush; why did Blaine have to look at him like that? He had to know that that look did things to him.
"Kurt? You okay, baby?" Blaine asked in a mumble. Kurt's heart soared when Blaine called him baby. The younger boy bit his lip as he smiled happily at his boyfriend.
"You just called me baby," Kurt breathed happily. Blaine gave him a dopey smile, Kurt simply chuckled at the older boy. It was so obvious the drugs were beginning to take their effect on him. Kurt had made sure that Blaine had taken his sleeping medication along with the ones for his nausea since Wes told him that Blaine hadn't slept much the night before.
"Of course, Kurt," Blaine told him, "You're Kurt, you're beautiful and charming and everything I could ever want in a partner. Kurt, I l-" Kurt's eyes widened, no Blaine couldn't say that like this. So Kurt did the only thing he could think of, and leaned forward to press his lips against Blaine's.
When they pulled apart, Kurt leaned his forehead against Blaine's and spoke, "Just go to sleep, honey. I'll wake you before I leave." Blaine nodded, eyes still shut from the kiss before moving down and leaning against Kurt's chest again. Blaine snuggled into his boyfriend and Kurt happily wrapped his arms around Blaine's tiny waist before kissing the top of his head. "Sleep well, Blaine." He whispered.
Kurt ended up falling asleep with Blaine curled into him, only waking up when his father called him asking if he could come in an hour earlier than planned. Kurt groaned once he looked at the time, putting his phone back on the coffee table before lightly shaking his boyfriend awake. "Blaine," He said sleepily, "Blaine, wake up, it's 12:30." The smaller boy whimpered softly before burrowing closer into Kurt.
"No, sleepy," Blaine grumbled, Kurt chuckled as Blaine pressed his cold nose into Kurt's neck.
"Ah, Blaine! Get your cold nose off me!" Kurt squealed, hiding his neck from his boyfriend, who simply whined and pressed his dry lips against Kurt's jaw, holding his mouth there. "Blaine," Kurt whined, long and loud. "Just wake up, you need to eat some lunch before I leave in half an hour."
"Half an hour?" Blaine mumbled, opening his eye slowly, "I thought you started work at 4:30, that you were gonna leave at two so you could get there in time." Blaine mumbled, leaning the side of his head against Kurt's collar bone. Kurt sighed, leaning his head to rest against Blaine's.
"Yeah, but my dad just called me, apparently one of the guys called in saying that his wife went into labour and won't be coming in to work today, so my dad wants me to come in an hour earlier. I'm sorry," Kurt told Blaine sadly. "I promise to make it up to you, alright? How about I make you some of that whole wheat Bolognese you like so much." Kurt asked him, running his fingers through Blaine's curls. Blaine nodded.
"That sounds perfect, thank you Kurt." Blaine mumbled. Kurt smiled down at him.
"Okay, so get up off of me so I can go to the kitchen. You can sleep some more and I'll wake you when it's finished." Blaine nodded tiredly and moved off of Kurt just enough for him to get up. "I'll be right back, alright honey? Just sleep." Blaine snuggled into the pillow under his head, nodding once again.
"M'okay, thank you."
After the food was finished, Kurt placed a plate of the pasta on the coffee table in front of Blaine before waking him. "I'll talk to you later, B. I'll text you when I'm done with work." Kurt told him after helping his boyfriend sit on the edge of the couch. He leaned over and kissed him softly on the mouth. "Call me if you need anything, bye." Blaine mumbled a thanks and a goodbye as Kurt walked out of the apartment.
Blaine eats as much as he can with his queasy stomach. He hadn't wanted to eat in the first place, but he couldn't deny his boyfriend's famous Bolognese pasta. It was definitely his favourite food that Kurt made, and he couldn’t just say no to Kurt when he was offering to make his favourite meal ever.
When he finished as much as he could, he slid the plate to the other side of the table before settling back on the couch, restarting the movie again as he curled under the quilt and fell back asleep. He woke up two hours later to David’s mother turning off the TV and moving the plate off of the table.
“Wha-“ Blaine mumbled, opening his eyes in confusion once he heard the noise. He lifted his head slowly before resting his chin on the arm of the couch and looking at Mrs. Keyes.
“Oh, sorry for waking you, Blaine!” She apologized when she saw his opened eyes, “But since you’re up, you have an appointment in an hour. Do you need some help getting ready?” Blaine shook his head at his friend’s mother.
“I’ll be fine. Thanks though,” He mumbled, slowly standing from the couch. He took a quick shower before going to the Keyes’ car. They drove in silence to the hospital where Blaine's doctor appointment would be happening. Both Kurt and Blaine were completely oblivious to the Warbler meeting happening back at David's house.
"I call this meeting to order!" Wes' voice boomed over the chatting teens. Everyone silenced and turned to pay attention to Wes and David, who had called the meeting. "As we all know, Warbler Blaine is going through some difficult times right now, and in turn, so is Warbler Kurt. We need to band together and show our support for them." Wes stated. Trent raised his hand, when Wes acknowledged him he stood and spoke.
"If you don't mind my asking, what exactly is going on with Blaine?" He asked timidly. All of the other boys nodded in agreement, only Wes and David knew about Blaine. The two boys looked at each other, not knowing whether or not to tell the Warblers what was happening with their lead singer. In the end, David sighed and turned to face everyone.
"Warbler Blaine is... very sick." He told them hesitantly, "I don't feel like it is my place to say the exacts, but I will tell you that. He is very sick and they don't know if he will recover. Warbler Kurt is taking it very hard and Warbler Blaine is feeling defeated and lost. We have to bring up their spirits and show our support. They have to know that they have at least 25 people that they can count on. Any ideas?"
The Warblers instantly stepped up to the plate, coming up with great ideas to show their support for their two friends. Wes and David shared a smile while everyone was leaving, this was a great idea.
When Blaine returned home after spending a few hours at the doctor's office he was completely exhausted; the doctor had taken blood and urine samples, as well as x-rays and a physical exam. But he didn't go to bed straight away even though his body was begging him to. It was only 6 and he had things to take care of before the night was done, so when he said goodnight to the Keyes family, declining their offer to eat dinner with them in favor of toast and butter in his makeshift apartment, he went downstairs and pulled out his phone.
He dialled the number he had found on the internet while putting a slice of bread in the toaster and setting the tea kettle on the stove. After a few rings, someone answered, "Hello, Columbus Formal Boutique, how may I help you?"
"Hi, yes, I'd like to rent a suit for tomorrow, please."
