The boys woke up to the soft voice of Carol. “Boys it seven o’clock, you can go pick up Zeppelin now. And bye the way I love that name.”
“Thank you fore waking us up, the alarm clock most of not gone off.” Blaine said as the started to wake up Kurt.
“You aren’t in your room, your in the baby’s room,” Carol said as she left the room
“Kurt, wake up. We need to go pick up Zeppelin.”
“What time is it.?” Kurt said as he sat up in hurry.
“Seven.”
“We were going to get up at six. What happen?”
“We fell asleep in the baby’s room. Now lets get dressed and go get are daughter.” With that the boys got up and start to get ready. About thirty minutes later the boys walked into the living room ready to go.
“Dad Carol you coming with us?”
“No, but you boys my want the car set to put Zeppelin in.”
“Thank you Carol.” Kurt said to Carol as Blaine went to go get the seat. When he got back the two left the house.
“This last week we’re staying here is going to be funny.” Burt said as he watched to two frantic boys leave the apartment.
When the boy got to the hospital it was 8:30 a hour and a half since they woke up and five hours since they were last here. The two walked into the room and Amy said, “Good you two are here.”
“Sorry if were late we feel asleep in a room without a alarm clock.” Blaine said as he walked over to Amy who had Zeppelin laying on her chest.
“Here,” Amy said as she picked up Zeppelin and handed her to Blaine. “Why don’t you try and feed her.”
“Um, okay.” He said as Amy held out a bottle for him to tack.
“Put her head on your for arm, then put your hand on the back of her thin, then feed her with your other hand.” Amy said as she laughed, Kurt laughed from be hind him.
“I Know that.” Blaine said as he took the bottle and started to walk around the room feeding his first child.
“He makes a good dad Kurt, not that you don‘t.”
“I know what your talking about, he just has that, dad think.” The two just sat there and watched Blaine walk around the room with Zeppelin in his arms. Then Kurt walked over to Blaine and handed him the close they brot with them to change Zeppelin into. It was a little onezie with music notes all over it, the blanket they brot look the same but the music notes were all different colors. After helping Blaine change their daughters close and diaper, which was not as bad as he was incepting it was going to be, he walked back over to Amy.
“You can tack her home today, all you have to do is sign the birth certificate.” Amy said as they watched Blaine rap the blanket around Zeppelin.
“That’s it.”
“Yes and I have it right here,” the doctor said as he walked in. He then handed Kurt a pen and the certificate.
“Blaine you need to come sign this.” Blaine came over and switched
Kurt, baby for pen.
“Here,” the doctor said handing Blaine a packet of papers.
“Is that a how to guide?”
“There the adoption papers, honey.”
“Now you two can take the home,” Amy said from the bed across the room.
“Now Amy, we’ll call you soon. Remember we want you to be a part of her life.” Blaine said as Kurt started to put Zeppelin in her baby seat. When he was finished with that, they said their goodbyes and were on their way. When the tow got outside Blaine some how ended up with the baby seat, while Kurt got them a cab.
When they got home Blaine got out of the cab first, then Kurt handed him Zeppelin, then paid the driver and got out of the cab. The started to walk up to the fifth floor only to be stopped by Ms. Love, the lady that lived down the hall.
“Cute baby boys, when did you decide to adopt?”
“About 9 months ago,” Blaine said in a impatient tone.
“Sergeant. What’s her name.”
“Zeppelin Blaze Hummel-Anderson,” Blaine said with the same tone as before.
“Every modern, I figured you tow would go with something classic.”
“Why because were gay,” Kurt blurted out.
“Sorry Ms. Love, but we are running on fore hours of sleep, and have family waiting up stairs.” Blaine said as he grabbed Kurt’s hand with his unoccupied hand, and pulled him up the stares. When they got to there apartment, they were welcomed by Burt and Carol which they know they were going to be there, they were staying until the end of the week. But also Cooper, Finn, and Rachel, which were welcomed, just not wanted.
As soon as they stepped into the apartment everyone started to talk at once. All of there voice just became one lowed, roar. Then Blaine was being pulled down the hall and into there bedroom. The others flowed them but Kurt just shoved Blaine in and stood in front of the door.
“Now we will come out in a little, when all of you are not here. Dad and Carol you may stay. Just give us today to get use to things, you three can come bye tomorrow.” With that Kurt closed the door and locked it laving Kurt, Blaine, and Zeppelin in room.
“Thank you, for doing that. I don’t think I could of handle all of them today. I can handle your dad and Carol because they going to help. But the other three would of just been pest.” Blaine stated as he put the baby seat on the bed and took Zeppelin out of it. He had her in his arms when Kurt walked up behind him and put his arms around his waist and dropped his head to Blaine’s shoulder.
“Now can we tack a nap?” Kurt asked.
“Yes we can. Until Zeppelin wakes up and needs to be feed or changed.” Blaine said as he turned around and handed Kurt Zeppelin. Then he took the baby seat off the bed, walked over to put pajama pants on, then pulled back the blanket and lade down. Kurt then put Zeppelin on Blaine’s chest, and went to put on his own pajama pants. When he climbed into bed curled up on Blain’s side and hooked his chin on his shoulder.
Out in the living room Burt and Carol sat on the couch in silent‘s. That was only broken when Carol knottiest something. “How long have the boys been home?”
“About fore hours. Why?”
“Zeppelin hasn’t cried yet. Like at all, Finn cried all the time when he was first born.”
“So did Kurt,” a couple minutes pasted the Burt decider that he had had it. “That’s it I’m unlocking the door.” But then when to into the kitchen and returned with and spoon. “You coming with me?” Carol stood up and follow Burt to the hall. When there Burt kneeled on the floor and started to try to do something with the handle of the spoon.
“What are you doing?”
“When Kurt was thirteen we got in a big fight and he locked himself in the bathroom. After two hours of him not opening the door I took the handle of a spoon and unlocked to door. Like this,” He said as he unlocked the door and open it.
When the door opened the site that was awaiting them was, hart warming. Zeppelin rested on Blaine’s chest on the back lade Kurt and Blaine’s intertwined hands. Blaine lade on his back one arm around Kurt’s waist, the hand of the other arm rested on Zeppelin’s back. Kurt lade on his left side head in the space between Blaine’s neck and shoulder, one hand tangled in Blaine’s hair, and the other tangled with Blaine’s on Zeppelins back.
“That is so cute,” Carol whispered to Burt. Burt just stood there tacking in the site before him, thinking how can people think that this is wrong. “I’m tacking a pitcher. And this going to be their Christmas card and are computer screen saver. Carol left, only to return a minute later with a camera. She took the pitcher the came back to stand with Burt in the door way. They stood there for a good five minutes, in a calming peace, until Zeppelin woke up crying. That caused Kurt to wake up with a speedy sit up, Blaine sitting up more carefully knowing he had a baby on his chest.
“I’ll got make a bottle,” Kurt said as he hoped out of bed. “Excuse me,” he said as he approached the door.
“I’ll go change the diaper,” Blaine said following Kurt out of the room only to enter the one across the hall.
“I’ll go oversee the bottle making, you can go over see Blain’s work,” Carol said as she walked down the hall to the kitchen.
Burt stood there for a little bit shocked with the ease the boys just handled that with. Then he walked in to Zeppelin’s room, “need some help in here kiddo?”
“No I’m all finished.” He then picked up Zeppelin and walked out of the room only to stop in the hall to get the bottle from Kurt. All fore of them walked into the room this time. Kurt feeding Zeppelin, Blaine walking right behind them, and Carol a little bit behind that.
“Imprested, all I have to say. I first time you woke up crying, Kurt I did not know what to do. I stood there while your mom told me what to do. I was thinking that tow guys handling that would be, worse. But that was amazing, better then a straight couple.” Burt said as waked over to the door then left the room, Carol following not long after. The two feed Zeppelin, then burped her, then she fell asleep. So they put her in her crib, taking the baby monitor with them and walked out into the living room accompany Kurt’s parents.
“So you boys handled that well, I’m imprested as well.”
“What were you do doing in the door way?” Kurt ask as he sat down on the love seat next to Blaine.
“We unlocked the door to see if you were okay and then when we opened it you three just look so peaceful and cute.” Carol explained then showed them the pitcher.
“That is the cutes pitcher ever, we need a copy of it. Blaine we need to use that as your Christmas card.”
“I know your son very well Burt,” Carol whispered to Burt. The fore talked until ten o’clock, every other hour or when she started to cry, Kurt or Blaine would go and check on Zeppelin.
“We should all be getting to bed, because you tow get to wake up in the middle of the night and tack care of a baby.” Burt said as he and Carol walked past the boys. The boys then walked to there room and went to sleep no problem.
Around two o’clock Zeppelin started to cry, that cussed both boys to sit up. “I’ll get this one.” Blaine said as he got out of bed. Blaine then walked across the hall and preceded to pick up Zeppelin. He then changed her diaper, followed by sat down in the rocking chair and started to rock her back to sleep when that didn’t he begins to sing, a soft lullaby.
Have you ever fed a lover with just your hands?
Close your eyes and trust it, just trust it
Have you ever thrown a fist full of glitter in the air?
Have you ever looked fear in the face
And said I just don't care?
In their bed room Kurt listened to Blaine sing the daughter to sleep, it was the sweetest thing his every hared.
It's only half past the point of no return
The tip of the iceberg, the sun before the burn
The thunder before lightning, the breath before the phrase
Have you ever felt this way?
Have you ever hated yourself for staring at the
phone?
Your whole life waiting on the ring to prove you're not alone
Have you ever been touched so gently you had to cry?
Have you ever invited a stranger to come inside?
