Author's Notes: Hey everyone this is my first story I hope you like it. you can see my tumblr here http://quicklikeaturtle.tumblr.com/ enjoy!
Kurt pushed his way through the halls of Peters High. The hallways were narrow and long and showed no signs of ending. Kurt kept walking, checking the numbers and names on each classroom door desperately trying to find his new homeroom. The flow of the crowd kept him moving as the bell began to ring for the second time.
"Excuse me," he tried but no one stopped "I said excuse me!" A tall red haired boy looked over at him and looked him up and down walking away with a look of confusion on his face. His frustration was growing with each person who walked by as he looked aimlessly around. He held back the urge to yell at someone a short lesson about manners and dove into a small office where secretaries and teachers were whizzing around with papers and books. He couldn't let himself be noticed to much at this school since that was the main reason he was here. An elderly woman looked over at him noticing his mildly panic stricken eyes. "Hello there dear," she said "do you need some help?" Kurt nodded as he looked around the room. She took hold of his arm an walked him quietly over to a desk at the far side of the room. It was quite obvious that this woman was a mother. Her touch was gentle but certain and her voice was calm and controlled. "Name please?" she said, snapping Kurt out of his daze. " Hummel," he said "Kurt Hummel". She turned to her desktop computer and began typing. Soon another obnoxious bell rang and the office cleared out. He shuffled uncomfortably on the spot as the woman turned around and stood, holding a sheet of paper in her hand out for Kurt to take. "Here's your schedule and a map to help you get around," she said pushing towards him more. He took it shyly saying a quiet thank you. "If you stay here a few minutes I can have a senior show you to your first class." She pointed out a chair near the door where Kurt took a seat and looked out the small window.
He jumped when he heard a loud crash beside him. "Blaine Anderson!" yelled the woman "how many times do I have to tell you to watch where you're going?". Her hands were on her hips and she had a stern look on her face. "Who knows," he replied with a smirk on his face "but I know you love me anyway.". He walked over to her and placed a chaste kiss on her cheek. Kurt was taken back by this action and wondered if this school was the right place to go to school. "Mr. Hummel," said the secretary "this is Blaine, he'll take you to your classes on time." The young man walked, or more skipped in reality, over to Kurt. He held his arm out with his hand placed on his waist. "Come along." he said wiggling his eyebrows. Kurt timidly wrapped his arm around the Blaine boy's and left looking back at the sighing secretary.

"Soooooo," Blaine said as they walked arm in arm down the hallway "What class have you got know?". Kurt handed him the gridded sheet without a word and looked down at his shoes. "Not much of a talker are we? I know a way to fix that." Blaine voice had gone much deeper at the end and the look on his face wasn't one Kurt wanted to see. "Excuse me?" Kurt squealed pulling his arm from Blaine's. Blaine then grabbed his own sides with laughter, toppling over. "Hahaha, sorry," he said "I didn't mean to upset you . I just wanted to get you talking!" Kurt looked away as his cheeks turned pink with embarrassment. " Yeah well, It's rude to force people into something." "Sorry, I didn't think conversation was such a difficult thing to deal with." Blaine's laughing subsided quite slowly going in to once again grab Kurt's arm. Kurt glanced noticing and quickly pulled away. "I try to refrain walking arm in arm with a complete strangers." He huffed and looked ahead at the empty hallway knowing very well that he had no idea where he was going. "Well, I guess I'll just have to change that." Kurt's head snapped around and followed Blaine as he stood in front of him. "Ask me anything." Blaine said deeply Kurt didn't hear through he was too distracted by the fact that a boy was this close to him and wasn't going to harm him in anyway. "I...uh.um.I.". Nothing came out of his mouth as he just stared at the shorter boy's face.
Whoa..
He should have really looked at him earlier. Screw his whole rule on no eye contact and you won't get noticed he wanted to look at this boy. He had dark honey golden eyes and he had dark curls that spewed onto his face. He was smirking and staring right at Kurt. He was wearing a patterned shirt and suspenders and pair of dark wash jeans. His hands were hanging idly form the suspenders and he let out a short laugh. Kurt looked up as he felt Blaine's breath hit his face and he realized he'd been staring. "How about I tell you about me then?" Kurt nodded quickly. So much so it almost looked like he hadn't at all. "My name's Blaine Anderson. I'm in the 12th grade, I live 5 minutes away, I have a younger sister and an older brother. I plan to go to Julliard next year to university and in case you were wondering the woman at the office, is my grandmother." Kurt just kept looking at him only half registering what he said because he couldn't hear over the sound of the blood pumping through his veins. "Well?" Blaine questioned,"What about you?". Once again Kurt opened his mouth and nothing came out. "How about you tell me over coffee after school?" Kurt was sure his eyes couldn't get any bigger than they were at that moment. "I'll take that as yes then. Welcome to your final destination." Blaine backed away and stood on the wall near where he had been standing. Kurt look to his right and realized they had been standing right beside his classroom. "Thanks." he whispered quietly. "It was my pleasure." Blaine said with a chuckle as he pushed himself off the pillar and walked away. He turned back around and winked and whistled a tune that sounded slightly, if Kurt wasn't mistaken, like "We Go Together".
This was going to be quite year.
