Dalton's Hallways - 732
Headmaster Arnold showed them around the school. He described how the day would go. Kurt did not have to attend any classes until Monday which gave him a chance to find someone who would send him in the right direction. The trio made their way to Sutherland house where Kurt would soon be residing. It was a long brick building with gorgeous vines growing up the sides. The leaves were just starting to fall off the trees and it looked as though something from a post card. The house's prefect greeted them at the tall wooden entrance to the estate. Flowers grew all around shrubs cut into different shapes and sizes. One appeared to be a dragon, another an angel, one on the far side the fire demon Calcifer and an odd one which sat far over in the corner. It had bumps and crevices all around and for the life of him, Kurt couldn't figure out what it was.
"Excuse me?" Kurt interrupted. It wasn't until that moment that he realised he had been ignoring the poor boy.
"What are those?" He pointed back towards the shrubbery. The taller blonde boy looked past him and smiled. He walked over and placed his hand on the small of Kurt's back, guiding him towards a plaque at the edge of the paved walkway.
"Our art class and our architectural club joined together to make these for each house. Of course every member worked on their own houses courtyard. Beautiful aren't they?" Kurt nodded and glanced idly at the creations.
"May I ask what each one is?" Kurt posed. The boy smiled warmly.
"Of course. Here we have a dragon, an angel, and Calcifer." Kurt pointed toward the one on the far side.
"And that one?" The boy laughed and pushed the hair out of his eyes. "That's a shrub." Kurt looked puzzled. "Yes, I gathered that but, what is it?"
"No, I mean they made their shrub into a shrub."
"Why?" The boy shrugged and guided Kurt back to where his father and and the Headmaster were chatting.
"What's your name again?" Kurt asked.
"Jeff," said the boy. "Jeff Andrews." They shook hands and joined the adults again.
"So, Kurt Hummel, it's time to find your room!" Jeff pulled Kurt up the stairs to the third floor.

Kurt got quite nervous again. They walked down a long hallway lined with horrid carpets. Each room had a three digit number, two boys living in it, which meant zero alone time.

Jeff noticed Kurt's eyes darting in all directions. He grabbed Kurt's hand and gave him a smile.
"Everything alright?" He asked.
"I know there's a zero tolerance bullying policy, but is in reinforced?" He played with the seam on his vest, avoiding Jeff's eyes.
"Yes. One wrong move and you're expelled. Why?" Kurt's head popped up.
"I'm gay. At my old school, everyone gave me a lot of crap for it. One day they went too far. I got a fractured knee cap and a broken rib. He took all the money he had saved up and put it towards my tuition." Jeff looked at him with big eyes.
"Why would someone want to hurt you? You're nice, and cute and from what I've seen from your records, really, really smart." Kurt ducked his head down and blushed.
"Who cares if you're gay," He continued. "I'm gay, Blaine's gay and about half of the school figure Mr. Keeling and Mr. Hanson have been secretly dating since my freshman year." The two giggled. Kurt smiled and looked at Jeff's beaming face.
"Thank you, Jeff." He whispered. He got on his tippy toes and kissed Jeff's cheek lightly. Jeff jaw dropped open a touch and he turned to a very flattering shade of pink. His mouth formed into a grin. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of Kurt's cheek.
"My pleasure, Kurt." He said as he pulled back. "Now, to chteau Hummel."
