He had gotten used to New York, and had begun to rely on the noise of traffic and the nightlife to rock him to sleep. What he found difficult was readjusting to his sisters constant morning singing, that wasnt just in the shower. Her voice, although admittedly beautiful was driving him up the wall. Kurt had offered him a pair of bright orange ear plugs that hed stockpiled, which he had gladly accepted; but this morning was different. Gone was Rachel belting out showtunes, it was replaced by a soft and airy voice singing a tune foreign to his ears.
"I close my eyes and I picture us together I hope you know, that Ill be waiting for you my love on this New York City coast." Sang the melodic voice. He stepped into the hallway and realized that the exquisite voice belonged to Kurt. He was dancing to his little song, with his hair a mess dressed casually in shorts and and a loose red v-neck. He was flipping what Blaine had identified as blueberry pancakes and had yet to acknowledge his presence in the corridor.
"This is definitely a welcome change from Barbra Streisand" He said causing Kurt to smile shyly as a blush crept up his face.
"Thank you." he said flipping another pancake. "Breakfast is almost ready. Rachel will down to be out soon, she wakes up late when she has Jesse over."
He took a seat at the wooden table and looked up at Kurt. "Are her and this Jesse guy dating? I havent heard much about him."
"Its more of a friends with benefits thing honestly, kind of like that Justin Timberlake movie." Kurt replied.
"She shouldnt throw herself around, her body matters." He said concern creeping into his voice. He shuddered at the thought that his baby sister, the one who wanted love and romance would just throw herself away for meaningless sex.
"You sound like my dad." Kurt said pulling the pan off the stove. "He always likes to tell me that I matter and that I should be with someone I care about."
"Do you have someone you care about?" He asked standing up and walking over to help Kurt with the large stack of pancakes that wobbled on top of the blue plate.
Kurt stared at him electric blue eyes, looking into his dynamic hazel ones. "No Im too busy for a boyfriend."
"What if you found the right guy? Someone who knows that you matter?" He pushed resting his hands on Kurts bicep.
"Then Ill take a leap of faith," Kurt responded taking the plate and setting it on the table, "or a jump depending on the guy."
Was a loud click Rachel emerged from her bedroom wrapped in the arms of the man he presumed was Jesse. She scanned the room staring at them intently. He knew she was still upset about their night out the previous week but had only made small comments about her distaste for their friendship. "I made pancakes!"
They sat down opposite of each other as Kurt dished out the food. "Hey Kurt, is this your new boyfriend?" Jesse asked pointing at him. Rachels face was angry but she tried to cover it up by stuffing her mouth full of blueberry pancake.
Kurt just smiled and grabbed the orange juice container from the fridge. "No, this is Rachels brother Blaine." Jesse smiled apologetically and took a bite of his food. He looked at Kurt as he sat across from him. His eyes would occasionally flit from his food to him watching, the stunning man.
Rachel excused herself with the intent of taking Jesse home leaving him to clean up with Kurt. "You cooked how about I clean up so you can shower and get dressed." he said after Rachel and Jesses quick departure.
"I was going to decline, but I really need to shower." Kurt responded setting one of the plates in the sink before drifting off to the shower.
He had finished cleaning up and had made his way to his room when he saw a dripping wet Kurt standing there loosely wrapped in a plush purple towel. His gaze carried him from his defined chest to strong arm and pronounce to v-line. Before he could return his eyes to Kurts face, Kurt had spoken. "Blaine?"
"Sorry you just look great." Kurt blushed and tugged at his towel,he could feel himself getting hard just looking at the pale man.
"Thats what four months of a free gym membership will do for you." He said playing down his compliments before returning to his room. He rushed into his own room pushing his pants down to rest mid thigh and wrapped fingers around his hard cock, allowing himself to move his hand up and down imaging that the dry heat of his palm was Kurts delicate hand bringing him to the edge, wishing it was the beautiful man with skin like porcelain and eyes like the Pacific. He came with a muffled cry, an image of Kurt etched into his brain.
Before he left for work he waved goodbye to a now dressed Kurt was about to leave for his own job. He spent the entire taxi ride thinking of his roommate, his sisters best friend.
