White.
The stucco, the curtains, the furniture, the people all varying shades of plain old white. Blaine sighed as he set down the maroon leather notebook on the white marble coffee table. They dont pay me enough. He thought as he walked into the kitchen, just as white as the living room. His phone rang and he slid the answer button when he saw it was his best friend.
"Blainers,I swear to god if youre in the Fabray house right now Im going to kill you." She screeched into the phone. He chuckled quietly and entered the dining room. Suprise! More white.
"Santana, they are our clients,we cant just drop this account because you stopped sleeping with their daughter."
"I hope you make everything even more tasteless than it already is." She spat.
"The point of being an interior designer isnt to make a house tasteless." He childed, running his hands through a white fur pillow that rested on a couch in the parlor. "Its to give it taste."
"Save that for the customers." Santana replied.
"When are you getting here?" He asked even though he knew the answer.
"Im not. Im just going to send an intern."
"I cant pitch without my partner."
"Thats unbelievable gay even for you.But alas youre just a single queen." Blaine just laughed.
"Look Santana, Ill see you at the office."
"See you later Blainers...oh! and bring back coffee." Blaine hung up the phone when he heard someone coming towards him.
"Mrs.Fabray!" Blaine smiled putting on that school boy charm that worked so well for him back at Dalton. The older woman just smiled and motioned at him to sit.
"Sit dear, we have a house to design.Im thinking eggshell." She exclaimed. Blaine fought to keep his eyes from rolling.
They really dont pay me enough for this.

"Oh Kurt! He broke up with me!" Rachel cried from her place in the pink plastic pool chair. "And Jesse was wealthy and he could sing!" Kurt tried to ignore the wailing. She was mostly tolerable, but she insisted on watching him clean their many pools every tuesday and friday. Today was the day that she decided to inflict him with her relationship issues.
"Rachel, you were too good for him." The Berrys dont pay me enough to clean their pools and listen to their daughter.
"I know, but now I dont have a date to the ball next month! Everyones going to be there!" Kurt sighed internally, he wished he could go to the ball.It was for every viable spoiled brat from 18-28 and it was his dream. Besides Broadway.
He wiped the sweat from his brow and let his eyes dance across the home. The Berry estate was covered in greenery, pools and beige stone. They even had an kareoke bar and a stable with 36 prize winning horses.
"How about you take me." He tried, not facing her.
"No silly, I cant take you! Youre gay!" Kurt just rolled his eyes. Youd think being the daughter of two gay men would make her a bit more sensitive. Kurt thought as he fished a group of leaves from the south quadrant of the pool.
"Kurt! Where you at man?" Puck called from behind one of the bushes. Kurt watched as Rachel pushed up the top of her swimsuit. Kurt rolled his eyes and continued to clean. Puck appeared in full view, his mohawk was in 30 different directions and he was drenched in water. "Are you almost done? I fell in the round pool with the swirly thingies."
"The jacuzzi." Kurt corrected.
"Yeah, and I just need to get home to change my clothes." Rachel perked up and leaned forward suggestively.
"Hey,Puck.Ive got lots of clothes in the house, you could borrow some if youd like." Puck nodded eagerly and Rachel lead him in the house swaying her hips more than she needed to.
Kurt finished the last of the pool, and gazed at the setting sun.He slung his bag over his shoulder and walked back to his black navigator. He started the car and started to sing along to his broadway playlist. He closed his eyes and got lost in the lyrics.
When were in public together,
I hear society moan,
But if they could see her thru my eyes,
Maybe theyd leave us alone.
He could see himself on that stage singing and dancing his heart out, he was deep in his fantasy when a hard knock on the window withdrew him from his Broadway stage.
"Come on man! Unlock the car door! Mikes making chili tonight!" Kurt unlocked the car door and allowed Puck to get in the car. He drove away from the lavish estate and into the distance.

Home sweet home. He thought as he fell onto the bed. Everything in his apartment was done well and tastefully, but it felt too large for him...too impersonal. Blaine ran his hand down his face and looked at his view. There was a part of him that knew his success was amazing for someone so young. The news article declaring him and Santana the interior design duo of the year spent countless paragraphs repeating that it was rare to be that successful at 25.
He was lucky.
Lonely, but lucky.

Kurt pulled the pillow over his head.It was bad enough that he worked with Puck, but he lived with him too.He sighed as he listened to Puck and Mike playing video games on the couch. He loved his friends but damn were they noisy at 2 am.
"Turn it down boys!" He called out, receiving a muffled reply from Mike. Kurt knew he was loved, but he wanted someone...a relationship.
Kurt could add that to his long list of unreachable dreams.Right after Broadway and the ball.
He shifted under his sheets, and dreamed of Broadway and an handsome man with dark curls and honey colored eyes.
