Hope youre enjoying it so far! I promise I wont abandon this but it may take me a while to write and stuff or I might decide its crap and rewrite it and just repost it. If you have a canon or noncanon pairing that you love, just write it in the reviews and Ill try to fit it in in some way. Ill try. But if I cant do it in this fanfic, Ill do it in another. Please write constructive criticism in the reviews if you have good ideas and think I should add it or rewrite it or whatever.
Blinking slowly and lazily, Kurt Hummel woke up to the buttery sunlight coming through his thin, gauzy curtains in his impeccably designed room.
He heard the voices of his parents coming from downstairs.
Mom and Dad only make noise so early on the reaping day...
Wait...
He remembered that today was the reaping and sprung out of bed, excited and hoping to get reaped.
He raced downstairs with a smile on his face, wishing the day would just fast forward to the reaping.

Blaine sat up suddenly, the nightmare still vivid in his head.
Then he realized the reaping was today.
He slowly and miserably got out of bed, hoping he would not get picked.

Blaine put on his hunting jacket and ran to the forest. He got his bow out of his special hiding place in a tree and got his arrows out of the tree next to it.
He walked leisurely to his favorite spot in all of district twelve. It was a little spot in the middle of the forest and had a nice little creek. Blaine like to sit near the creek and just calm down for a while. Once in a while, he would see one of his (sort of) friends, and he would hunt with them, or talk with them, or just ignore them.
He sat down in his spot and leaned his head back against the tree. He breathed deeply and tried to relax his nerves. He had a huge chance of going into the Games this year. He was eighteen, and also has even more of a chance because his dad made him put in for tesserae. He was in some pretty deep shit.
"Hey, hobbit." He turned around quickly.
"Hey, Santana." Santana was his best friend. She wasnt a great friend, but he didnt have many and out of his small number of friends, she was the best. All of his other friends were always being douches and bullying him for his sexuality. Santana was also gay, though. Or, bisexual, actually. She understood.
For a few hours, they just hunted, him with a bow and her with throwing knives, and enjoyed each others company.
"We should go get ready for the reaping, shortstack. Weve been out here for a while." She was also eighteen, but she didnt put in any tesserae. Still, she was in trouble.
"Oh, and Blaine? May the odds be ever in your favor." She only said his name on days like this. When they might never see each other again.
"You too, San." He looked at her with sad eyes, hoping she doesnt go into the games. She and her parents hate each other. Im not gonna sugarcoat it. She feels like she has nobody. If she went into the Games, she might just let someone kill her without a fight. Or even worse, she might just jump off the platform before the time is up. "San, promise me that if you go into the Games, youll try to win. I know you feel like you have no one, but you have me. I care about you. I know that sounded cheesy, but its true. Please. Just try."
"Ill try Blaine. For you." She looked at Blaine sadly, biting her lip.
"You know, youre actually not such a bad friend." Blaine said with a smirk.
"You too, Smallfry."

While Kurt waited for Emma Pillsbury to finish the speech and pick the tributes, he imagined everything that would happen if and when he won the hunger games: he would live in victors village, he would have a shower in his house, he would shower in that shower every day, he would-
"-And may the odds be ever in your favor! Lets start with the girls: Rachel Berry! Come on up here!"
Kurt knew Rachel from school: shes that annoying girl who believed she was much more talented than she actually was. Also, she had a massive crush on his brother, Finn.
She walked up to the stage very casually. She looked a bit uncomfortable though.
I was getting ready to volunteer for whoever is picked for the boy tribute. I had to make sure I was fast though, I didnt want anyone to volunteer before me.
"Now for the boys: Ah! Kurt Hummel! Come on up here!"
Wait... What?! Since when are the odds in my favor? This is my biggest dream. Im gonna win this years Hunger Games and Im. Gonna. Enjoy it.
He strode up to the stage gracefully with a hint of a smirk on his face.
"Here are the tributes of District One for the 103rd annual Hunger Games!" She exclaimed holding up both of our hands, like we already won.

As Blaine stood in line waiting for April Rhodes to pull out a name, he wondered how tough the other tributes were. Theyre probably all strong and covered in muscles and waiting to bash the weaklings head in and-
"-And may the odds be ever in your favor! Lets start with the girls: Santana Lopez! Come on up here!"
Fuck. Somebody has to volunteer for her. Shes pretty damn tough, probably the toughest in the district, but... Were from District Twelve. She doesnt stand a chance.
Santana strutted up to April with a smirk on her face and a fiery glint in her dark eyes.
"Now for the boys!" She exclaimed, with her hand grabbing for a slip of paper.
Please dont be me, please dont be me, please dont be-
"Blaine Anderson!"
Shit... No... Just... No...
Unlike Santana, he shuffled up to the stage, knees feeling like what hes heard about jello and his face tense.
Santana looked at him sadly. Great. Were both gonna die in there now. Just. Fucking. Amazing.
"Here are the tributes of District Twelve in the 103rd annual Hunger Games!"
