“Dad that was delicious” Danielle told her father once she finished her dinner, both Kurt and Blaine nodded in agreement.
“Thanks” Travis Anderson said, getting up to clear the dishes.
“I should probably take you home. I have a bunch of promos that need to be taped and interviews and a run through for Transplant starting really early tomorrow.” Blaine said to Kurt.
“Yea, my friend Mercedes is in town for the week and she wants to hang out as much as possible. Don’t worry though, I won’t tell her anything about you.” Kurt said standing up.
“Nah you can, I trust you now. Just don’t tell her anything huge, like my address or the fact I'm gay.” Blaine replied to Kurt also rising from the table.
“Hey, bumblebee, are you driving me tomorrow so I can register at the high school?” Danielle asked Blaine, making him groan at his childhood nickname.
“Danny-Elle, don’t call me that and I can’t because of reasons I just explained to Kurt, dad will.” Blaine retorted using the name he knew Danielle hated more than anything.
“You did back in Westerville.” She grumbled using her eyes to shoot daggers at her brother. Blaine ignored the dirty look that he had to get used to again and grabbed his car keys from the kitchen counter.
“Yea and back in Westerville, I wouldn’t get attacked in a Starbucks. Well, I would but for different reasons. C’mon Kurt,” Blaine said “we can finish this later.” Blaine told his pissed off sister and turning to leave.
Kurt followed Blaine out of the kitchen and the house in silence, Blaine not speaking until they both were seat belted in the car.
“So what do you think of Danielle Noelle Anderson?” Blaine enquired using his sister’s full name.
“She seems sweet, pries a little too much; kinda crazy but has good intentions, but I like her. So Bumblebee, is that what you wanted to hear?” Kurt asked smirking and waiting for Blaine's reaction.
“Shut up.” Blaine muttered. “She calls me that because I'm apparently like one. She says I don’t bother people unless they bother me first or screw with someone I care about. Which I guess has a basis of truth.” Blaine explained rolling his eyes and driving towards Kurt's apartment in East Los Angeles.
“She’s right about that.” Kurt said quietly making Blaine look at him curiously. “I mean you get this look, when I bitch about directors being homophobic, and you look like you want to kill somebody. It’s like you wouldn’t let anything hurt me if you could. It’s really sweet.” Kurt elaborated shrugging his shoulders. Blaine nodded, saying nothing and thought ’I really hope he can’t tell how much I really care about him. How much I love him and how much I need him in my life. It would kill me if I were to lose him.”
“You okay baby? You should slow down.” Blaine heard Kurt say as the paler boy looked at the speedometer.
“W-What did you say?” Blaine stammered, his heart pounding in his chest, while he prayed he didn’t hear Kurt's words wrong.
“I said ‘You okay? Maybe you should slow down’” Kurt repeated every word for Blaine confused.
Damn, I did imagine him calling me baby… Blaine though sadly, as he took his foot off the accelerator, reducing the Mercedes’s speed from nearing 95 to a more speed limit conscious 84.
“Sorry. I was thinking about a lot of shit. And no Kurt, I do not want to talk about it.” Blaine snapped the last part a little more harshly than what was intended, but he knew Kurt would ask if he wanted to talk. Blaine glanced over at Kurt, frowning at the hurt expression upon his friends face. After 20 minutes of the most awkward silence the two might have ever had, Kurt looked over at Blaine, his oceanic eyes boring into Blaine's soul.
“Blaine, I need to talk to you okay?” Kurt asked, in an urgent tone that made Blaine worry. He pulled over a few blocks from Kurt's apartment and turned off the engine, but made sure the air conditioning was still on since it was unseasonably hot for Los Angeles at almost 9:30 in the night.
“What’s wrong?” Blaine asked, turning to Kurt confused. Kurt looked at Blaine briefly and thought for a second, then took a deep breath which made Blaine anticipate the sound of Kurt's melodious voice.
“Blaine, you're my best friend and the nicest person I’ve ever met since sophomore year back at McKinley, and you're gay! Sure, your sexuality may not be as obvious as me, but I can complain about things to you like homophobia, and you get it. I mean really get it, not just the way my dad or step-brother or friends would say ‘that sucks’ or something but not know what it really feels like. I really like you, Blaine. When we first met, I thought you were the most beautiful man I have ever seen.” Kurt paused momentarily and avoided Blaine's eyes before continuing a bit quieter.
“I really want to be with you, and this is the first time I have ever liked another gay guy. You can’t even imagine how many times had to stop myself from kissing you…” he trailed off slowly.
“I don’t get what you're saying Kurt. I like you too, a lot; I always have. Why are you bringing this up though? If you're trying to get to me asking you out, I will in a heartbeat.” Blaine told Kurt confused.
“I do Blaine. So badly, but I can’t date a guy who is ashamed at the fact he’s gay.” Kurt told Blaine breaking his own heart in the process.
“I am not ashamed at the fact I'm gay!” Blaine raised his voice sounding hurt that his best friend, the one man who knew him better than anything would assume that.
“Obviously you are! If you weren’t ashamed, you would currently be out to the world. Blaine, I spent my high school career getting shoved into lockers, getting slushies thrown into my face, I was called a pansy or a homo almost every day, hell, my first kiss with a guy was not by choice and it was from the guy who put me through hell for 4 years of my life. I was the only out kid at McKinley and I put up with it because I wasn’t ashamed of who I was. I wasn’t ashamed then and I'm not ashamed now. You on the other hand are ashamed. If you weren’t, you would be out to the public, and not care with what people would say about it because its your life not theirs!”Kurt yelled then opened the car door, fighting back tears.
“Kurt-” Blaine started but was cut off by the car door being slammed, and Kurt walking the remaining two blocks to his apartment, wiping the salty tears away from his eyes.
Blaine banged his fists against the steering wheel and swore at himself for hurting the person he needed more than anything else in the world and watched that same boy walk to his apartment building, making sure nobody jumped him or mugged him. Blaine pulled away from the curb and turned on the radio to 102.7, Los Angeles’s hit music station, to distract himself from the hurt. He let his own tears fall as he drove home, his heart shattered into more pieces than he ever thought would be possible.

OMG AAAAH! Why!? You MUST update soon!! (Not really, don't rush your processs) Excellent story! Can't wait to see the next chapter! :D-- Kaylee

Awe thanks (: And I'm typing it right now. When I update I might not for a while after that because I've been working on typing more than I have been actually writing the story, and I am going out of town next week.

This was another awesome chapter. I was really glad to see Kurt tell Blaine how he felt and to try to make him see that obviously he did have problems with his sexuality if he wasn't willing to take a stand and come out to the public. I also enjoyed when Kurt called Blaine Bumblebee and when Blaine thought Kurt had called him baby. I look forward to seeing what happens next and to see if Blaine is able to fix things with Kurt.

Thanks (: I was trying to make it seem like Blaine's feelings towards Kurt weren't felt the same by Kurt towards Blaine and then be like "BAM in your face with the Kurt confession!!!" I just see Kurt as more guarded towards his feelings in this. I also am really glad you understood the whole baby thing, because I had to change how I had it originally written because when a friend read it she thought I meant that Kurt had truly called Blaine baby, not it just being Blaine's imagination. Thank you so much for your constant reviews (: Reviews are the reason I keep writing and posting. I'm posting Chapter 9 now! Hope you enjoy (: ~PickKlaineArtie
