Author's Notes: Hey guys, I know I promised an update December 2nd, but I was unable. There's been a lot of drama in my family and I was out of town during those two weeks and had no time to write. I have finals starting tomorrow, so I won't be writing or typing until Monday, because I also have my bestest friend ever coming over and 2 choir shows. I will start 10 on Monday, just don't hate me.
When Blaine returned home that day, Danielle was sitting at the kitchen counter pretending to do homework, with her phone vibrating in her lap.
“It’s just me, you don’t need to worry. Besides, you need to work on your fake homework doing if you want to fool dad.” Blaine said with a chuckle when his sister visibly relaxed and sat on the counter next to her. “How was school?” he inquired nonchalantly.
“Fine; I'm actually thankful I went to Westerville High, I mean the French program is the best in Ohio, which doesn’t say much, but I actually understand my Honors French class. Hell, I already know most of the things that’s being taught. I also got invited to a party by this girl Alison Stuhr, but I don’t think I want to go.” Dani told her older brother excitedly which confused Blaine. ‘Damn, when I still lived in Westerville, Dani was never into academics this much. What else changed with her?’ Blaine thought sadly, thinking the only major change in his sister was her attitude and her style.
“That’s awesome, you really should go. I have to ask you something.” Blaine informed his sister hopping off the counter he was sitting upon and walked to the fridge and grabbing a bottle of his apple juice.
“Huh?” Danielle asked distracted by her phone as she obviously was previously.
“Well, Lacie got a call and I'm going to be on Ellen next month. It’s taping live and I'm gonna sing on it for the first time live, but wanna go?” Blaine asked his sister returning to his place on the counter with his apple juice in hand.
“Why don’t you ask Kurt? I mean you guys are practically dating…” Danielle retorted, pulling her wavy black hair into a pony tail and started scribbling in one of the notebooks in front of her.
“No, we’re kind of not talking and I think I'm going to use the interview to fix things somehow.” Blaine said causing her to look up from her phone where she had focused on when he started explaining with a very interested look.
“What did you do this time?” she prodded, immediately blaming her brother.
“I'm not out to everyone. Kurt thinks it’s because I'm ashamed I'm gay or something but I'm not. I just never had a reason to want to come out.” Blaine sighed sadly.
“He’s your reason isn’t he?” Danielle concluded and her brother nodded his head, his eyes shaded with sadness. “Here’s what you need to do. I’ll go to the interview with you, but you need to sing your heart out. Just act like you’re back in Westerville and belting out songs by Katy Perry or some other top 100 artist.” Blaine looked at his sister’s devious grin.
“What song are do you think I should me sing?”
“Songs plural Blaine, as in more than one, you're singing at least two based on most of Ellen’s guests. Besides, you’ll see. Just none of the Billboard shit you listen to.” Blaine tensed. Hearing Danielle, saying a word as simple as “shit” disgusted him, he felt like he could vomit. It was his baby sister for Christ’s Sake! The girl he promised to always protect. When he left Westerville, she was a sweet innocent 12 year old girl who would glare at him for saying “crap” or “hell” and god forbid if she heard him say “shit”. The one thing Danielle never lost was her death glare, it still terrified him.
“It’s live right?” Danielle asked clarifying.
“Yep, you have more of a plan, don’t you?” Blaine asked and flipping through songs in his head he would use if he vetoed Danielle’s choice.

Kurt returned to his apartment after his date with Chandler, he was stunned by who he saw on his couch talking idly to his roommate.
“’Cedes!” he yelled excitedly, running over to his best friend from high school and hugging her tightly forgetting to take his keys out of the lock or shut the door.
“Hun, I love you but I thought your shift ended hours ago. What were you doing?” Mercedes asked releasing him from the hug.
“It’s unimportant.” Kurt told her trying not to blush.
“He was probably with his boyfriend” Puck said lounging on the couch with a smirk.
“Kurt Elijah Hummel, did you happen to get yourself a boyfriend and not tell me?” Mercedes asked raising an eyebrow and causing Kurt to blush profusely.
“Maybe, and it isn’t who Puckerman thinks it is. There’s this guy, Chandler he is the reason why I was late. If you told me you were in a day early, I wouldn’t have gone out with him!” Kurt told Mercedes exasperated.
“Get some Hummel.” Puck told Kurt with an approving smile before walking into his bedroom and caused both Kurt and Mercedes to roll their eyes simultaneously.
“It isn’t like that. I met him at a music store downtown. I had a lot on my mind and sang a little, he sang some 2nd tenor harmony, we talked, we flirted, I asked him to lunch, he accepted.” Kurt explained and bit his lower lip embarrassed.
“He’s gay, right?” Mercedes asked happy for her friend and Kurt nodded in response, making her beam both inside and out.
“Well, hun, I'm happy for you. He better not hurt you or I will have Trayvon hurt him.”
“Oh, how is your back up dancing beau?” Kurt asked throwing his phone on the couch where Puck was sitting.
“He’s absolutely amazing” Mercedes told Kurt happily, gushing about her escapades with her boyfriend and life on tour. Puck wandered out of his room and glanced at Kurt.
“I'm out, dude. Got a party with hot chicks at the Stuhr household going on tonight I get to play guardian. I guess Mykayla doesn’t trust her lovely daughter Alison’s friends so I get to keep an eye on things. I will probs be back late so don’t stay up Princess.” Puck told him strolling out the door. Kurt groaned at the name Puck had started calling him.
“It’s damn skin care, Noah, you should start practicing it.” Kurt grumbled causing Mercedes to crack up. Puck rolled his eyes and left the apartment shutting the door behind him with a soft click.
Kurt and Mercedes ordered Chinese food and spent the next few hours catching up on their lives since high school. Kurt almost let something about Blaine slip only once, but quickly changed the subject and made sure to avoid any further topics that would make his mind go to Blaine.
End Notes: I know, short. Don't be mad. Also, I /do not/ and /will never/ ship Kurt/Chandler. Needed the drama. Alsoooo, Puck and Dani at the same party what will happen???? Reviews please :3 Also, review with any questions you want to have Blaine asked during the interview. I will try as hard as possible to fit them in
