When they were back up in their dorm room, Kurt fell asleep almost instantly. Everything that had happened that day had left him exhausted, but he didn’t even feel it until he was sitting on the couch, snuggled up in a blanket and holding onto a cup of abnormally delicious hot chocolate Blaine had made. It wasn’t long before Kurt was yawning into his cup.
“Ok, I think its time for bed,” Blaine said, chuckling. He took the mug from Kurt’s hands and poured what remained into the sink in the kitchen. “C’mon, go to bed.”
“I’m too tired,” Kurt whined. Blaine laughed, mainly because Kurt was being totally serious. Kurt held his arms out, eyes almost completely closed. “Carry me.”
“Seriously?” Kurt nodded. Blaine smiled and shrugged. “Eh, ok.” He walked over to the couch, kneeling over to pick Kurt up. He put one arm under Kurt’s back and the other under he’s knees and lifted him up rather easily. What the hell was Coach Sylvester talking about? Blaine thought to himself. Kurt’s been off those disgusting diet drinks for two weeks now and he still felt light as a feather to Blaine. She must be on some kind of drugs.
When they reached Kurt’s bedroom, Blaine gently laid him down on the bed, and swore that Kurt fell asleep the second his head hit the pillow. Blaine covered him up and left, ready for bed himself. He was exhausted, though he was sure that Kurt was way more tired than he was. It had been a long day for everyone. Blaine really did feel bad that David died, but after what he did to Kurt, his feelings were more for Kurt than David or his family.
He went his room and changed into his pajamas, his Harry Potter pajamas, and climbed into bed. He had so many thoughts running amuck through his head that he had trouble falling asleep, laying in bed for at least a half hour awake. He sighed, knowing with his head this full he wouldn’t be getting to sleep anytime soon, and walked out into the kitchen to make another mug of hot chocolate. He sat on the couch and turned on the TV again, careful to keep the volume down, and searched for something decent to watch. He ended up settling on Everybody Loves Raymond, laughing quietly at one of Frank’s trademark offensive remarks and at Marie being intrusive.
He heard his phone vibrate on his nightstand and debated if it was worth the effort to go check who had texted him. He decided that it might actually be something important and, although he doubted it, he motivated himself to get up and go see. It was a text from Cooper. Is he ok? As much as Blaine wanted to reply with something sarcastic like, Oh, wonderful, he’s having a party, he knew that Cooper was actually genuinely concerned, so he replied He’s ok. Basically fell asleep with his face in hot chocolate as soon as we got here. He hit send and took his phone out with him this time, anticipating a reply from Cooper, and got one within seconds. Good, he needs to rest up. As do you. GO TO BED. Blaine had to smile. As his told Kurt, Cooper was strange. Very, very strange. What, not gonna tell me to do your homework? Cooper’s reply came seconds later and Blaine laughed out loud, but quickly shut himself up. I assigned homework?! The only thing he could see was his brother sitting on the couch just like he is, ridiculously confused. He was too tired to torture his brother any more with the subject so he just responded No, genius, I was kidding. You’re my brother/teacher, it was a joke.
