Blaine meandered over to the bed slowly, on his way back from the bathroom. He was unashamedly naked and studying Kurt's facial expression with interest. Making love for the first time in the third life had been something he wanted a lot, but was also nervous about. All in all, it had gone well. Not too much awkwardness, but nothing ink-shattering yet, either. That was okay, they still had time. "What are you thinking about?" Blaine laughed at himself, "Oh no that is the worst cliché question, isn't it?"
Kurt lay face up on the double bed, on top of the dark blue bottom sheet. The other sheet and blanket had been thrown to the floor much earlier. "Oh my god, Blaine," Kurt croaked out in a voice still somewhat hoarse with exertion. "Oh my god oh my god oh my god. How the hell did you do that to me? It was like you knew what I wanted better than I did." With those words, it struck him. Blaine DID know better than him. A lot better, and with good reason. Somehow this made Kurt uneasy. They were supposed to be teenagers, thrilled and passionate about being physical for the first time, learning and stumbling together.
"Remember, Kurt, even though this was your first time with me, it wasn't my first time with you. In my memory, we have done this hundreds of times before. And I got to know where..." Blaine sat on the bed and slowly started massaging the arch of Kurt's foot. "...and how..." Blaine lifted Kurt's leg up and lightly kissed his ankle. "...and what..." Blaine began peppering small, soft kisses in a trail up Kurt's leg. "...you like best."
"But it's not fair," Kurt replied, struggling to keep hold of his thoughts in the face of the distracting sensation from Blaine's lips on his body. "I am always going to feel like I'm lagging behind you. You know so much more about my personality than I know about yours. You know more about my body, more about my faults and my deficits."
"Well," Blaine countered, giving up on seducing his boyfriend for the moment, "I also know about your strengths and your gifts. For example, you are a gifted artist. All of these sketches you did of us are beautiful. Why don't you show me one that you remember the best? One that is really clear and lucid in your mind?"
Kurt pointed to a sketch on the wall of the two of them slow dancing, a tiara resting on Kurt's head. "I remember that one pretty well, I think. I was voted prom queen by people who hated me and wanted to humiliate me. And then you came to my rescue. I remember feeling relief and love and gratitude." Kurt closed his eyes, searching for more of the memory. "And um... that night. We made love that night too, didn't we? I think I remember, um..." Kurt ran his hand through Blaine's un-gelled hair and for some reason pulled it a bit hard when he got to the back of Blaine's neck. Blaine moaned. So loudly, that Kurt was startled. "Blaine, did I...?"
"Yes, you pulled my hair just like that, the night of the prom. I think you might remember more than you realize. Come on, I'll show you."
Kurt's confidence was coming back. Blaine would help him remember, Blaine wanted them to be on equal ground. "Okay," Kurt replied. "Show me."
