Yeesh, drunk Kurt. (<secret obsession of mine)
Chapter Eleven
Hello, read the iPhone screen in Kurt's hand. He had been allowed to have a cell phone under the condition that he spoke to Finn, and only Finn on it. All of this was against the rules, of course, but Blaine had been willing to turn a blind eye for Kurt's sake.
Language. He considered choosing french just to grind off a little bit of his rustiness when it came to different languages, but then again, why would he need another language? He's not trying to impress anyone. It's too late for that.
Kurt scoffed to himself as he clicked the last few buttons of setup before the phone was unlocked. It was empty, scarily so. No colorful apps or contacts or evidence of being anyone's phone, but that's how everyone's looks when they first get it. He just had to start making calls.
He clicked the phone icon and stared at the keypad for a long minute before setting the phone down on the bedside table. Why was he doing this? He had no life, so he had no one to call. No one to love.
He pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes when he heard soft steps coming to him.
“Blaine, there is nothing to talk about so why don't you just go on back to your room and let me trudge around in misery in peace.”
“If there's nothing to talk about, then why would you think hed want to talk?” At her soft voice, Kurt's eyes snapped open to see Rachel standing there, not Blaine. Oh.
“Rachel! Nothing, everything's fine.” Kurt stood up from the bed and plastered on a weak smile.
“Kurt.” She reached for him and gently touched his arm. “Don't you think weve been through enough for me to know when something's wrong?”
Kurt sighed. “It's Blaine.” He paused, but Rachel's eyes willed him to continue. “Well, Blaine and me, if we're going to get specific about it.” He sunk down onto the bed and Rachel followed his lead.
“We almost kissed.” Once he blurted it out, it was out. He couldnt take it back.
“What happened?” To Kurt's shock, Rachel was in no way surprised.
“I don't even know! We were shouting at each other and then he got so close and he was just staring at my lips. I almost couldnt help myself, but then Puck walked in.”
She chuckled at Kurt's dismay.
“And? Do you have any nuggets of wisdom for me?”
“Well, we all knew this has been a long time coming,” she shrugged.
“What? You are no help Rach-” a buzzing on Kurt's left side reminded him of the phone he had received.
“Who is it?” Rachel asked, rubbing her hands up and down her arms nervously.
“Probably just Finn,” Kurt said, looking at the unknown number.
“Oh, I'll give you some privacy.” She twirled her hair and grinned shyly. “Tell him I say hello!” With that, she skipped out of the room, leaving Kurt to roll his eyes and answer the phone.
“Finn, your timing is still hilariously inopportune, but I do have a moment to spare. What would you like?”
There was just silence on the other end.
“Hello?” He pulled the phone back to look and see if the call was still ongoing and it was.
He heard a choked noise on the other end and quickly grew concerned.
“Finn, are you okay?”
“My boy. It's true. I didn't think it was true. You're okay.” A sob.
Kurt clutched the phone so hard he was surprised it didn't break. Because this voice. This voice was one he never planned to hear again. This voice, he was too ashamed to even ask about it. This voice was his life and this voice was his home.
“Dad?” Tears streamed down his face, he never thought he'd call anyone that again.
“Kurt! Kurt, you're okay. Finn gave me this number and told me to call. Oh, Kurt, buddy, I love you so much. When are you coming home? Where have you been?”
And there it was. The question. The one he couldnt answer.
“Dad, I can't tell you right now. I'm sorry.” His voice broke.
A nose was blown on the other end. “What? Kurt, none of that matters. You're okay. Just tell me what happened.”
“I'm sorry.”
“You got nothing to be sorry for, not a single thing. Just tell me.” Burt's voice was hard.
“Daddy.” He was openly crying now. “I love you, but I have to go. I don't know if I'll see you again.”
“What?”
“Goodbye, dad.” As fast as he could he clicked end call and sobbed out one large cry. What could he do now? He couldn't go on. God, all he wanted, all he really wanted right now was to talk to Blaine.
He clambered down the hallway to Blaine's room, but when he threw the door open the immaculate room was empty. He spun around to the doorway across the hall to see if he was in Puck's room, but once again came up empty.
What he did see instead, though, was a bottle of gin. Unopened. Untouched.
He snorted because someone was either seriously looking out for him, or seriously hoping he would fail.
He didn't have much time to contemplate because he had already snapped open the seal and taken a swig.
It was going to be a long night.

Initially, when Blaine heard someone singing along to old Adam Lambert songs he was confused. He and Puck had been going over Kurt's witness testimony in the Security room over Skype with Santana when they all heard the music.
Santana snapped at them to go find the source and shut it the hell off, so Blaine and Puck followed the song, passing Puck's room, to Kurt's guest bedroom. When they looked into what was once an organized bedroom, they were shocked.
“What the hell?” Puck shouted, easily out-yelling the music. Clothes were strewn across the bed, the bedside lamp was broken, the sheets were torn off the bed and littered across the floor.
And then Blaine saw Kurt.
He had on the tightest black pants Blaine had ever seen in his life. Black eyeliner was smudged around his eyes, his hair was a mess, and oh, Blaine was hard. Whoops.
The musical break in the song ended and Kurt wrapped a black scarf around Blaine's neck, leaving a bottle of something on the floor by the bed.
He grinded on Blaine while simultaneously crushing the song.
Oh baby, lights on
But your moms not home
Im sick of laying down alone, hey
With this fever, fever, yeah
He was gloriously drunk, Blaine could tell, but for some reason, he couldnt bring himself to register it. Kurt was sliding up and down his body and singing in his ear and he just could not be held accountable for his actions when his hands found Kurt's hips.
My one and own
I wanna get you alone
Give you my fever, fever, yeah
“Enough!” Puck took the phone from Kurt and clicked the music off. Kurt whirled his head around to Puck and looked annoyed. He let go of Blaine (who tried really hard not to look disappointed) and wrapped an arm around Puck's neck.
“Boo. Come on, we're just having a little fun.” Kurt smirked sexily and slid his hand down Puck's torso. “You're always looking.” Kurt breathed into Puck's ear and slipped his entire hand into Puck's sweat pants. “Don't you want to see some of my tricks?”
Puck grabbed his wrist and pushed him roughly to a seated position on the bed.
“Oh, that's hot. Lots of my clients liked it rough.” Kurt slurring brought Blaine back to reality.
“Kurt, where did you get alcohol?” Puck took a step back so that Kurt wouldn't try to grab him.
“Your room!” Blaine shot Puck a dirty look. “Gin never was my drink of choice, but hey, beggars can't be choosers.” Kurt giggled and fell back on the bed.
“Let's just get him some aspirin and get him in bed,” Blaine said.
“Dude, I have to go explain to Lopez, you can do all that shit.” Blaine sighed as Puck hauled out of the room. When Blaine returned with the water and medicine, Kurt was lying on the bed. In just his underwear.
“Kurt what are you doing?” Blaine set the pills and water down on the bedside table.
“My pants were too tight, Blaine. I was just getting ready for you,” Kurt slid his own thighs open in a way that could only be depicted as sinful. Blaine gulped, but quickly found his self control and responded.
“Kurt, when you wake up, we are going to have a long, uncomfortable talk about this, but for now, just get some sleep.”
He sighed and flopped back down on the bed. Blaine scooped up the bottle of liquor to return to Puck and switched off the light.
