Author's Notes: I know that people are going read this and think, "Rachel was mean, she shouldn't be in Slytherin" or "Quinn should be in Slytherin" but i looked it up, i went through all the tumblr rps i could find and worked out the most common house Quinn and Rachel came up in. I found Quinn was a Ravenclaw and Rachel was a Slytherin. Also this is a fanfic so i'm allowed to change the characters around if i want.
Kurt gasped when they entered the library, it was incredible and huge. The amount of books was just... wow! Kurt knew he was going to spend a lot of time in here, it was just amazing. He watched as Blaine went and looked for the book that he had told Kurt about. While Blaine was searching, he decided to go and look at the closest shelf and ran his hands over the leather binding.
"Here it is," Blaine said as he sat down with the book in his hand. "What do you want to hear first?"
"What are my options?" Kurt asked, sitting opposite Blaine.
"The Wizard and the Hopping Pot, The Fountain of Fair Fortune, The Warlock's Hairy Heart, Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump and The Tale of the Three Brothers." Blaine read from the book.
"Babbitty Rabbitty and Her Cackling Stump, that sounds interesting." Kurt replied.
"A long time ago, in a far-off land, there lived a foolish king who decided that he alone should have the power of magic..." Blaine continued reading, telling Kurt the whole story and watching his face. "...When the grounds were deserted once more, there wriggled from a hole between the roots of the tree stump a stout and whiskery old rabbit with a wand clamped between her teeth. Babbitty hopped out of the grounds and far away, and ever after a golden statue of the washerwoman stood upon the tree stump, and no witch or wizard was ever persecuted in the kingdom again."
"And your parents told you that story as a child?" Kurt asked.
"Yeah of course! Did none of your kid stories have deaths in?"
"Well yeah."
"There you go then." Blaine smiled and browsed through it. "Do you want me to read you any more?"
"No, you're okay. I might just take the book out soon and read it in my common room." Kurt said. "Hey, Blaine?"
"Yeah?" Blaine said as he put the book back.
"Do you think we'll have classes together?"
"Yeah of course!"
"I'm actually looking forward to the classes."
"Me too! Waving our wands and practising spells, it's going to be so awesome."
"But we will have to do written work, right?"
"I hope not!"

It was the first day of classes and Kurt was so nervous but also incredibly excited. His first class was Herbology, but that class didn't sound too exciting to Kurt. Since he had got the books when he went to Diagon Alley, he had all day every day reading the books and learning everything he could. He wanted to be all prepared and know everything so he didn't make a fool of himself in his class. He made his way inside the Greenhouses, not really too sure where to go so he just stood around. In came a short woman with grey wavy hair, if he remembered rightly, her name was Professor Sprout. He looked at her, noticing her hat was patched and battered and her clothes were covered in dirt. She walked over to the students with a large smile on her face.
"Good morning everyone!" She said in a cheery voice. "Please gather around the table in the centre of the room, thank you."
Kurt stood at the far end, next to a girl who looked at him with a funny look then flicked her hair over her shoulder.
"Hi, I'm Kurt Hummel." He introduced himself, holding out a hand.
"I'm Rachel Berry, i would say its a pleasure but then i'd be lying." She said before turning away from him.
"Ignore her." Said a voice from across the table. A blond girl smiled at him, he couldn't remember her name from the sorting but he did remember that she was in the same house as him. "I'm Quinn Fabray. We're in the same house."
"Nice to meet you." Kurt smiled back, surprised at her kindness. Around her neck was a cross necklace so Kurt got the idea that she was nice because she was religious.
The class started and they had to get out their books and start reading, but Kurt knew this already. He read anyway. Then Professor Sprout began asking questions about things they had read and as soon as she did, Kurt's hand shot up. Kurt answered correctly and received House Points, which got him really excited.
"Nerd." Rachel whispered to him.
He ignored her and answered more questions correctly, earning himself a wide smile from Professor Sprout.

The lesson ended and Kurt went to find Blaine. He was so excited to tell him all about his lesson and hoped that he had a good one too. He found Blaine with a group of kids on the courtyard, he decided to leave him alone. He turned away and there was a huge boy standing by him.
"You're in my way." He said, shoving Kurt. He was one of the ones on the train, Kurt remembered.
"So you're the she-male right?" The guy said.
"No i am not. I am Kurt Hummel and i am a boy." Kurt answered.
"You sound and look like a girl. Are you a fag?" He asked.
"Excuse me?"
"Do you take a dick up the ass?"
"No! I'm a boy, i'm too young for that gross stuff."
"You are disgusting, you really are. People like you should not be allowed to exist." The guy said, shoving him to the ground.
"Yeah, you go Karofsky!" A guy came over to him and high fived him. "That guy you're always with, he'll never love you. We see you staring at him and you held his hand at the sorting. You are disgusting. Karofsky is so right."
"Thanks Malfoy." Karofsky replied. "I am right you know, fags should be put down at birth."
Kurt lay on the ground and waited until the Slytherin's went. He was used to that kind of stuff being said to him. So many people called him a fag and other names, insulting him constantly. He got to his feet and looked around, no one had even looked in his direction and the people walking past didn't even stop. Just like home, no one really cared about him. He got called a fag a lot and the truth was, he didn't know for certain if he was one. Honestly, being around Blaine made him feel something but he didn't know what that was. He could be one of them but he might not be. Yes, he had a strange voice and he looked very feminine but that didn't mean he was gay. But if Blaine was gay, he wouldn't mind being gay with him.
