Kurt and Blaine didn't tell anyone about their near death experience with the troll and neither did the teachers. Everyone was too busy gossiping about Barry, Ron and Hermione's experience anyway and no one would believe them. The boys didn't even talk about it either, they thought it was best not to. Not yet anyway. It didn't effect their friendship though, they were actually even closer, if that was possible. Slowly Kurt was coming out of his shell and being more confident around other people. Blaine's friends were now actually his friends and he was much happier. Except when he was alone, the Slytherin's would bully him. No one knew about it, not even Blaine. He was too scared to tell him, because of what Karofsky said. If Blaine found out what he might be, they couldn't be friends. No one would want to be his friend.

Christmas was coming up and he was excited about it, he now had people to buy for. He had always wanted people to buy presents for and now he did. When he got home, he would find things that would interest his friends and he'd send them to them. He had all their addresses and was really excited to be sending stuff, especially since most of his friends came from wizard families, it was only Finn and Brittany who were like him, half bloods. Finn's dad was muggle sand he died but he was brought up wizard by his mother and Brittany's mother was muggle, like Kurt's but she had always known about her abilities. Kurt was the only one who was raised completely muggle. Tina, Mike and Quinn's parents were really strict but for some reason, Blaine didn't speak a lot about his parents. Maybe he didn't trust Kurt enough.

It was time for them to take the train home and Kurt was nervous, if he was honest. He sat on the train next to Blaine and beside his friends in silence, while they talked.
"Hey, are you okay?" Blaine whispered.
"I'm nervous about going home and seeing my dad." Kurt said honestly.
"Why are you nervous about seeing my dad?"
"Because it's going to be different. He knows muggle Kurt, not wizard Kurt. He already thought i was weird and not normal, now he's going to think i'm a freak like everyone else does."
"I don't think you're a freak." Blaine smiled. "You're the most awesome person i know! And all our friends think you're super cool too."
"What do i talk to him about? This stuff won't make sense to him and i can't exactly show him anything that i do because of the stupid rules. He didn't know what to do with me before this and now..."
"Hey, you'll be fine." Blaine said.

When they got to the station, they both got off and looked around for their parents. Kurt found his dad straight away and led Blaine over to say hello.
"Hi dad!" Kurt said.
"Hey kiddo!" Burt smiled at him. "Who's your friend?"
"This is Blaine, he's my best friend. He's really nice and really smart." Kurt told his dad.
"Hello Blaine." Burt shook Blaine's hand. "Where's your parents?"
Blaine pointed to a nice car with a man and a woman standing beside it. Kurt thought they looked really fancy and strict, he did want to meet his best friend's parents though. The three of them walked over to say hello. Blaine hugged his mother and Kurt smiled, wishing that he had someone who would hold him like that. He missed his mother.
"Mum and dad, this is Kurt and his dad. Kurt is my best friend." Blaine told them.
"Hello Kirk." Blaine's father said.
"It's Kurt!" Kurt corrected him.
Mr. Anderson pulled a face and got into the car, hinting that they needed to leave.
"I'm sorry, he doesn't like being wrong or corrected." Mrs. Anderson said. "It was nice meeting you, Kurt. Come along Blaine."
"I have to go. I'll call you and we'll try and hang out. I only live an hour away." Blaine told Kurt and hugged him.
"Blaine! We have things to do!" His father shouted.
"I'm sorry. I'll see you!" Blaine hurried and got into the car, waving to Kurt as they drove away.

Kurt and his father went Christmas shopping, Kurt had been spending time helping his dad in the shop so he could get money to buy presents. He got a present for all his friends and an extra special one for Blaine, he also got a nice present for his dad. He also got a present for his kitten, Athena. Once the shopping was done, he took them home and packaged them up, writing letters for each present so he could post them the next day. He hadn't been this excited about Christmas since his mother died but now he had found Blaine and his friends, he was really excited.

Christmas had arrived and Kurt was too excited to sleep, he tried to sleep but he just couldn't. His dad had said parcels arrived for him and he couldn't open them until Christmas. He was so excited to open the one from Blaine especially. As soon as it was morning, Kurt got out of bed and put on his outfit that he had been planning for so long and ran down the stairs. He wasn't expecting the tree to be full since there wouldn't be loads of presents under there, just some for him and his dad. His dad wasn't around so he ran upstairs and pushed the door open.
"Dad! It's morning! It's Christmas!" Kurt said excitedly.
"I'm sleeping." Burt grumbled.
"But it's Christmas! You can sleep later, now come on!" Kurt ran out of the room like a child and sat by the tree, rummaging through them all and sorting out which present belongs to who. Of course, Kurt's pile was a lot bigger than his dad's. As soon as his father joined him, he began tearing open the paper. His dad got him a lot of muggle "magic" stuff, like candles and fake spell books, he told his father that they were great and opened more. He was really happy to see clothes, he loved clothes so much. His friends got him some really nice stuff too but Blaine's was... well there were no words. It was a big box and Kurt opened it, there was the most amazing white scarf in there, an absolutely gorgeous quill, wizard candy and other bits and pieces that Kurt loved. He opened the letter and smiled.
MERRY CHRISTMAS KURTIE!!!
Hope your Christmas is totally awesome! Oh and i also hope that you like your presents. I saw the scarf and i though of you, it's really nice, right? Oh and i also got Athena some new things too. I love that her and Bandit are such good friends, it's really cute. I can't wait to see you, i've got a free day before we go back to school so write back and we can organize it. Okay?
MERRY CHRISTMAS AGAIN!
from,
Blaine
