Neither Kurt nor Blaine had said anything about their engagement since they knew what people would say. It had been a couple of weeks and the Anderson’s didn’t bother them but a good thing was, tomorrow was Blaine’s birthday so when Blaine turned eighteen, he could choose where he stayed. Kurt had something big and romantic planned for Blaine’s birthday, he couldn’t wait. The following morning, Kurt woke up early and prepared Blaine a birthday breakfast, everything he liked plus some flowers from the garden. He got the presents and lay them out at the end of the bed, putting the breakfast down next to Blaine.
“Blaine honey, wake up.” Kurt said, pressing a soft kiss to Blaine’s lips. “Happy birthday.”
Blaine’s eyes fluttered open and he smiled up at Kurt. “Now that’s a sight to wake up to every single morning.” He sat up and saw the presents. “Presents? For me?”
“Of course, it’s your birthday, so eat your breakfast and then you can open them.” Kurt smiled, kissing Blaine again.
Blaine was so overwhelmed by everything, especially when he got downstairs and saw a huge spread for breakfast. It was everything he liked and more.
“Oh wow!” Blaine gasped as he walked over to the food. “Thank you so much. This is the best birthday ever.”
“You’ve only been awake half an hour honey, just wait and see what I’ve got planned for the rest of our day.” Kurt smiled and kissed Blaine’s cheek. After breakfast, Blaine sat and eagerly opened his presents. Kurt got him bowties and cardigans and Burt got him a shirt with the football team they supported on it. He was over the moon with the present that Carole got him, it was a picture of Kurt and Blaine together with a decorated frame.

Kurt had a huge surprise in store for Blaine; he would never ever guess what it was. It was a brilliant idea and took some planning, but he got there. He had to do it the day before so his dad and Carole had to keep Blaine busy.
“Blaine, come on honey, let’s go.” Kurt smiled as he put on his jacket, fastening all the buttons. “I don’t want your surprise to be ruined so you need to get that gorgeous ass out of this door.”
“Coming!” Blaine said as he ran down the stairs. “Wow, you look fantastic.”
“Don’t I always?” Kurt grinned.
“Well yeah.” Blaine slid his hand into Kurt’s before they both left the house.
“Right, we have to go to a few places so I hope you’re ready.” Kurt got out a piece of paper and gave it to Blaine.
“Roses are red and violets are blue, where are you?” Blaine read out before lighting up. “Is this a treasure hunt?”
“Maybe.” Kurt grinned, leaning his cheek towards Blaine’s lips when he was kissed.
“God I love you.” Blaine looked at the note again. Poetry and where were poems found? Books and where were books found? The Library. “

Kurt drove to the library and led Blaine inside, he was so happy to see how excited Blaine was. He stood and watched Blaine run up to the closest librarian who smiled at him and gave him what he needed, a map of the library. Blaine followed the map like an excited puppy to a bookcase. Kurt watched as Blaine looked through the books and round the bookcase, before looking at the loose floorboard. He went under the floorboard and pulled out a box with a piece of paper on, and on that paper was his name. He was so excited as he opened the box and saw a watch.
“It’s amazing!” Blaine smiled as he turned it over and saw something engraved, it made him smile more. “I love it so much. Thank you baby.”
“You’re welcome, there’s more to come.” Kurt smiled as Blaine opened the second piece of paper to see a map.

After a few more stops and a few more presents, Kurt took Blaine to the park and pulled out a picnic basket from the boot of the car. Blaine was so happy and very excited to see it, he took Kurt’s hand and followed him to the spot that Kurt had picked. The blanket was spread out and the food and drinks were pulled from the basket.
“Wow Kurt, this is incredible. You didn’t have to do all this.” Blaine said before kissing Kurt.
“I wanted to and there’s still one more surprise.” Kurt handed a little shovel to Blaine and pointed to a spot right next to him. Blaine started digging until he hit a box. He pulled out a box and opened it and inside was a small velvet box. He gasped and pulled it out, looking up to see Kurt on one knee.
“Blaine, I know our whole relationship has been a rollercoaster but I would never want to do it with anyone else. I love you so much; you are the love of my life and my one true love. I have loved you from the second i saw you, you took my breath away. Everything with us has never been plain sailing and we’ve got through everything. You are the one person that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, with you I’m never bored and I never feel alone. You have made my life so much better and you gave me a reason to keep going, you took care of me when I needed you and you still do it now I’m better. You are the best boyfriend that I could ask for and I would never ever want to change you. You could’ve had anyone in the world but you chose me and I’m beyond grateful for that. You are so beautiful, romantic and just amazing, you are so perfectly imperfect and I love you for whatever flaws you have. I will always be here and love you, no matter what. So what I’m trying to say is, Blaine Anderson, will you marry me?” Kurt took the ring box from Blaine’s hands and opened it, revealing a gorgeous ring, mostly a band with a couple of diamonds.
“Yes, oh my god Kurt, yes!” Blaine grinned before kissing Kurt, who was sliding the ring onto his finger.
“I want us to make love.”

Aw, Kurt is awesome. He planned the perfect birthday for Blaine and the proposal was so sweet. I love how you write Kurt and Blaine's relationship and I am so glad that they are happy in the story right now. I can't wait to read chapter 68.
