Blaine couldn’t stop crying on the drive to Kurt’s, he couldn’t believe what had just happened. He had left his home because of his homophobic asshole of a dad. He attacked his boyfriend and expressed how disgusted he was about his life. He would’ve made Blaine leave Kurt and that would’ve killed him, he didn’t want to be without Kurt. He would hate his father more than anything if he did but now, he was here with Kurt. Kurt saved him. He saved him from an abusive father and was taking him back to his house. Kurt stopped outside his house and pulled Blaine into his arms, holding him tight as he cried. Kurt kissed his head and rocked him softly, just letting his boyfriend cry.

As soon as he calmed down, Kurt led Blaine to the house, opening the door and helping him in. Burt looked at the two and was immediately concerned.
“Blaine? Kurt, what happened?” Burt asked, getting up from his chair and helping sit Blaine down. The poor boy was white and shaking, he was a completely mess. His face as tear stained and his eyes looked swollen. He then looked at Kurt and saw a red mark going around his neck. “Kurt, tell me right now.”
“Blaine’s dad, he saw us kissing and he got really angry. He pinned me against the wall and told Blaine to leave me, he kept telling him how disgusting we were and how I poisoned him. It was basically a choice of a straight life or leave and I took Blaine and left. I was hoping that Blaine could stay here, I mean we have that spare room and he has nowhere else to go.” Kurt skipped over the full details of how they were naked and about to have sex for the first time.
Burt saw red, he was so angry and his fists clenched. “He pinned you against the wall by your neck?! Did he do anything else? Did he hit either of you?”
“No dad. But if I had left Blaine there, he would’ve because he has before.” Kurt kept his arms wrapped around Blaine for comfort.
“He’s hit you before? Blaine, why didn’t you tell us?” Burt asked. He considered Blaine family, he was like a son to him and he cared for him a great deal. He was fuming that Mr. Anderson had hurt his son and he was angrier that that man had hit Blaine. No father should hit their child, no matter what the reason is, no child should be struck.
“I was scared.” Blaine said quietly.
“Well he’s not going to hurt you anymore.” Burt said before storming out the front door.

Kurt and Blaine looked at each other before running after him; he couldn’t go after Mr. Anderson. He couldn’t risk another heart attack and this one being fatal, Kurt refused to let that happen.
“Dad please, don’t go.” Kurt tried to stop him but Burt jumped into the car. Blaine didn’t say anything; he just got in the front seat and drove off with Burt, leaving Kurt standing on the road. Kurt couldn’t let the two people he loved the most get hurt, so he ran to his car and chased after them. Kurt was shaking in fear, he was so scared. He followed them all the way there, he arrived a couple of minutes later because of traffic but when he got there, the door was open and there was shouting.
“You hurt my boys!” Kurt heard as he ran into the house. “You held my son by his neck and you hit the boy that I consider family. You are a disgusting monster!”
“Dad!” Kurt shouted, seeing his father pinning Mr. Anderson to the wall, just like Mr. Anderson pinned him. He tried pulling his father’s hands away but he was so strong. “Please!”
“No man should hit their child, especially because their child is gay. Yes, when my son told me he was gay, I wasn’t thrilled but I didn’t beat him. He is still the same boy I’ve always loved and that will never change. You have such an amazing boy and you don’t know it because you’re blinded by homophobia to see. He is amazing and you... you’re just... You know what, you’re not worth the words.” Burt pulled away and stepped back.
“Take your fairy and get out of my house.” Mr. Anderson spat. That was enough to make Burt give Mr. Anderson the hardest punch he had ever given anyone, right in the mouth.
“My son is more of a man than anyone i know! He is not a fairy and I’m leaving your disgusting, homophobic house with my sons. Come on boys.” Burt led both Blaine and Kurt out of the house. “God, I needed to do that.”

No one said anything on the way home; Blaine and Burt’s car drive was silent but it was that silent where it wasn’t awkward. But when they got home, there were obviously things that they needed to talk about. Kurt and Blaine were sat on the couch holding each other’s hands and Burt was in his chair with his head in his hands thinking.
“You can stay with us Blaine.” He finally said after ten minutes of silence
“Thank you so much, Burt.” Blaine smiled a little bit.
“You will stay in the spare room but tonight you can stay with Kurt, I feel that you two will need the comfort. We need to set some rules, while anyone is in the house I don’t want anything sexual happening. I don’t want to know if it’s happening and if it is, you two need to be safe. That’s my main one, I’m tired so I’ll talk to Carole and think up the rest later. You two should get to bed, it’s been a long night. Goodnight boys.”
Kurt and Blaine stood up, going to Burt and hugging him tight, thanking him so much for what he did for them, especially Blaine. Kurt went up first because he took longer and Blaine lingered.
“Burt, I just wanted to say how grateful I am for everything. You really didn’t have to do this and I’m sorry for the damage to your hand. You should get Carole to take a look at it. You’re more of a dad to me than my father ever was and... Thank you so much!” Blaine started crying, getting an even bigger hug from his boyfriend’s father.
