Kurt and Blaine spent most of the summer together, being together and enjoying each others company, most of all, they were happy. Nothing bad had happened to them in months and they were beyond grateful. But now they were heading back to Dalton and starting their new school year.
“Are you ready?” Blaine asked with a smile as they held their stuff outside of their door.
“Of course I am, it’s a whole new year and with you beside me, it’s going to be the best.”
Blaine smiled and opened their door, motioning for Kurt to go first which he did. He went inside the room and looked around, especially at the door. He remembered how when Kurt came to tell him about them sharing a room, that he pushed him up against the door and kissed him incredibly deep. That was an incredible day, he had no idea why and Wes was watching but he absolutely loved it.
“You know,” Blaine’s trance was interrupted by the sweet sound of Kurt’s voice. “I wish we could push these beds together.”
“I do too. But that doesn’t mean we can’t snuggle on a single bed, does it?” Blaine smiled, kissing Kurt’s cheek before heading to his part of the room.
“I really like snuggling.” Kurt grinned and began unpacking.
“Oh! We have a Warbler meeting when we’ve finished packing, we have to audition the new Warblers who will be replacing the graduating ones. With Wes and David gone, it makes me in charge along with Nick and Thad. I wish you could be on the council but-“
“Honey, it’s fine. As long as I get to have my input, get to keep a member of the council as my boyfriend and eventually sleep with him. I’ll be happy.”

“Audition five, Sebastian Smythe.” Nick said, watching the tall, sandy haired boy standing in the middle of the room. The Sebastian guy hit the stereo and a familiar song started playing, along to Sebastian’s singing.

Kurt didn’t like Sebastian’s voice, it wasn’t that good and it had obviously had many lessons. But that wasn’t his problem, his problem was the fact that this new boy was eyeing up Blaine.

Kurt had a strange feeling that this guy would somehow become a threat, that he would try and take his Blaine from him. Of course he knew that Blaine wouldn’t stray because he loved Kurt, he sat by his bedside when he was in a coma, whenever he made a mistake he begged for forgiveness.

Everyone but Kurt was enjoying the performance, how could he enjoy a performance when the singer was starting at the guy he loved. He would’ve mocked Sebastian’s dancing ability but there was nothing to mock, he could even see on Blaine’s face that he was impressed. Kurt had never got that look when dancing, not even when they performed “Animal” last year and Kurt was overcoming the sexiness.

Kurt thought he saw Sebastian winking at Blaine, it made him tense up and made a couple of the other Warblers look at him. The impressed look on Blaine’s face didn’t leave and there was something, just something about his eyes that made Kurt nervous.

He felt a hand hold onto his, he turned to see who it was, it was Jeff. Jeff could see what Kurt saw and he didn’t like it either, he wasn’t sure what other Warblers saw this but he hated that Kurt did.

Sebastian’s dancing got even impressive and it made Kurt close his eyes, he couldn’t look at Blaine’s face anymore. It was too painful. He leaned over to Jeff and whispered in his ear.
“Can I stay in your room tonight? Please?” Kurt got his answer from a squeeze from Jeff’s hand and a nod.

Sebastian walked over to the councillors table, sat on it and attempted to run his hand through Blaine’s heavily gelled hair. This made Kurt hold his breath and want to leave the room, but it would’ve been rude to lave during an audition.

As soon as the song was finished, Kurt heard everyone else clapping so he did the same, just to be polite. Blaine didn’t even look at him, not even once when usually his eyes never left Kurt’s. There was a pain in Kurt’s chest and he hated it. He hated it even more when he heard Blaine announce that Sebastian was now a Warbler. That, Kurt expected but Blaine, that he didn’t expect.
