“Finn I’m...” Kurt started but he was cut off.
“Dude what the hell?!” Finn shouted down the phone, he could hear other people shouting at him in the background, it sounded like his dad and someone else, he couldn’t quite make out who. The phone was taken from Finn by his dad who was shouting at him down the phone before calming and saying. “Kurt, get your ass back home now. I’ve called the school and let them know you’re coming home. Just get here.”
Kurt was worried, something must’ve happened, but what did he do? He changed from his pyjamas into his ordinary clothes and made his way out to the car bumping into Oliver on the way.
“Hey Kurt, are you okay? Where are you going?” He asked noticing the clothes and Kurt walking towards the exit.
“I’m going home, family emergency.” Kurt said before stopping and turning to face Oliver. “Why did you say that about McKinley? It was a private thing between you and me.”
“I’m sorry, it just slipped out. And i’m also sorry about the guy at McKinley thing that was horrible what he did to you.” Oliver tried to be as sincere as possible, it seemed to be working.
“Thanks, look I gotta go, okay? I’ll see you when I get back.” Kurt sped walked as fast as he could to his car making his way out of Dalton and beginning the drive home.
Blaine was on his way to Kurt’s room to apologise, he knocked on the door and waited, no answer. He thought this was strange and thought that Kurt was ignoring him.
“Kurt? Its Blaine, come on let me in. Ignoring me is silly.” He said softly, knocking on the door again.
“You won’t find him.” A voice came from behind, Blaine turned to see Oliver standing behind him, he wondered what he was doing out so late.
“What do you mean?” Blaine was confused, where could Kurt be? He was supposed to be in his room.
“He’s gone. Got called home, family emergency.” Blaine was really worried, he tried calling Kurt but he couldn’t get through.
“You should get back to your boyfriend, let me take care of Kurt.” Oliver smiled putting a hand on Blaine’s shoulder, squeezing it.
“Thanks, I’ll try again later.” Blaine sighed and moved away from Kurt’s door, staring at it for a second and then walking away leaving Oliver with a successful evil smirk on his face.
Kurt pulled up outside his house, getting out and practically running to the door wanting desperately to know what was wrong. As soon as he got inside the door he looked to see his dad, Carole and Finn staring at him.
“What?”
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Finn asked looking down at his hands, he was fuming.
“Tell you what? I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Kurt was so confused, he walked further into the room, the atmosphere was tense and he didn’t like it one bit.
“About Karofsky kissing you. How could you not tell us?”
Kurt was shocked, how did he find out? Oh god what was he going to say? Lie Kurt, you must lie he thought to himself, he was not just about to out a bully who could kill him. “Where did you hear this?” He asked.
“Blaine, he called me and told me. He said that we had to know the real reason behind it.”
Kurt couldn’t believe it, how could Blaine do a thing like that to him? He had promised to keep it a secret and ended up telling Oliver, Wes, David and now his parents. Blaine, the person he trusted more than anything, the person he loved had told his parents what Karofsky did to him. What had he done to Blaine to get him to do that? All he knew right now was that he was so mad at Blaine for doing this to him, if his dad had another heart attack he would never ever forgive Blaine.
“Kurt!” His dad raised his voice snapping Kurt back into the real world. “Is this true? Did that kid do that to you? Did he kiss you?”
Kurt had sworn not to say anything, he swore to keep his secret but he couldn’t keep lying to his dad, what on earth was he going to do?
“His silence says it all.” Finn stood up, towering over Kurt who flinched not sure what he was going to do. “Why didn’t you just tell us? Or tell me. I’m your brother.”
“And I’m your father, Kurt you shouldn’t have hidden this from us. Tell me exactly what happened, you aren’t going anywhere until you say something.”
Kurt gulped and walked into the room more, he sat down on the couch, his father in the chair and Carole standing behind him, Finn just a few metres away. “It was a few days after I went to Dalton to spy, Blaine had text me and I was looking at the text because it was so sweet. He was telling me to have courage when my phone was knocked out of my hand, I remembered what Blaine had told me about confronting him and calling him out so I went after him. I know now that it was a very stupid idea. He was saying how I was trying to “peek at his junk” and we argued and it got heated and he threatened me with his fist. I told him that no matter what he did to me it wouldn’t change who I am and then he just grabbed me and kissed me so hard, it hurt and it was gross. He went for another and I pushed him away, he was so angry he punched the locker and ran off.” He finished the story and looked down at his hands in his lap waiting for someone to say something, everyone was in shock.
“Was this why he threatened your life?” His dad said after a few minutes of silence. “Because you might tell someone?”
Kurt nodded slowly not looking up at his parents or Finn, he sat waiting for someone to say something else, anything else, the silence was nerving.
