Kurt was standing outside the doors to McKinley, his hands were shaking and he was terrified. Yes, Sue said she’d watch out for him and Finn was going to as well but it didn’t make things easier. He was so scared that Karofsky was going to hurt him, he probably was but he wasn’t going to overthink it. He slowly took a step through the door and looked round to see if he could see anyone he knew, there was no one, none of his friends. He found his locker again after a few minutes, shakily opening it and putting his belongings back in there, still putting the picture of Blaine back up because it did give him courage. Kurt grabbed what he needed to and made his way to his first class, French which was surprisingly okay, no one noticed him and he worked hard, that was good.

Blaine looked at the clock, Kurt’s first lesson back at McKinley, god he was so worried about him. He was scared that he might get hurt and that the bullying would start up again. He wasn’t able to focus properly on the English work that was set out in front of him; Kurt was the only thing he could think about.

Most of the day had gone so well and no one had said or done anything until lunch, Kurt was on his way to meet the glee club members at their table when he felt a hand grip tightly on his arm and drag him. He tried to fight it wasn’t working so well, this person was much stronger, he looked to see who it was... his fears were confirmed... Karofsky. He was shoved hard into the lockers in the locker room; he didn’t turn just yet, scared that a fist might end up in his face. He couldn’t deal with another bruise; he could only just cover the marks on his nose.
“What are you doing back?” Karofsky asked, forcing Kurt to turn round.
Kurt was scared, trembling and whimpering; he couldn’t get the words out until Karofsky repeated his question in a much scarier tone. “I-I...” He got out.
Karofsky raised a hand and slapped Kurt’s face hard, he wasn’t getting an answer and honestly he was so pissed that Kurt was back and the fact that he had got him expelled. He went to hit him again but he heard a crowd of people coming into the room. The group looked disgusted at Kurt then looked back at Karofsky with a much softer look.
“What’s she doing in here?” One of the jocks practically spat at Kurt.
“He was peeking at my junk, I was about to go for a shower, I stripped and there he was, watching me.” Karofsky lied, backing away from Kurt so the other jocks could get him. The jocks surrounded Kurt and pinned him to the lockers, Kurt was terrified. He had just been slapped, his arm and back felt bruised and now he had a group of jocks about to beat him up.
“Hey!” A voice came from behind them, Kurt had never seen a group disburse so quickly before. He looked at the voice who had saved him, Sue. He was so relieved to see her, never had he been so relieved. “Are you okay Porcelain?”
Kurt nodded and fixed his clothes, wiping the tears from his eyes but unable to move.
“Did they hurt you?” Sue asked concerned, even more so when she saw the red mark on Kurt’s face. He knew she could help him but if this was what happened when he got Karofsky expelled, he could only imagine how much worse it could get if he told on him and the others. So he shook his head and walked out.

“Boob tube!” Sue called to Santana who walked past in her short cheerios uniform and her boobs practically bursting out of her top.
“Yes coach?”
“Keep an eye on Porcelain. You’re in glee club with him, help him.”
“Why me?”
“Because I asked you to and because I have reason to believe that Mr. Karofsky might start bullying him again, I know you would help stop and you can talk to the other glee club members secretly without Porcelain knowing.”
Santana sighed and nodded, agreeing to look after Kurt. She walked away and headed towards Mercedes, muttering “choir room now, don’t tell Kurt”. She went and told all the other members, including Mr. Schue and met them all there.
“What’s this about Santana?” Mr. Schuester asked.
“Yeah, I was just enjoying my tots and then you came and told me to meet you here without Kurt. What’s going on?” Mercedes spoke.
“Coach Sylvester came to me and asked me to keep an eye out for Kurt, she’s worried that Karofsky might start bullying Kurt again now he’s back. She wouldn’t ask unless she was really worried.” Santana told the group.
Finn leaned over to Rachel and spoke quietly in her ear. “He did kiss Kurt before, he might do more this time.”
“He kissed Kurt!” Rachel practically shouted, everyone in the room stared at her.
“Whoa, wait... roll back a few pages, Karofsky’s a homo?” Santana was shocked just like everyone else.
“He threatened to kill Kurt if he told anyone but Blaine already knew and Blaine told me, I told dad and here we are.” Finn said, his face scarlet and knew that Kurt would kill him.
“Poor Kurt.” Tina held onto Mike’s hand tight as she started crying.
“So we all need to keep an eye out for him, someone should be with him at all times.” Mr. Schuester instructed.
“We should find him.” Sam said as they all ran from the room to find Kurt.

Blaine played with his phone at the end of the school day, pondering whether to text Kurt and find out how his first day back went but Kurt might not want to talk to him. He decided to but when he went to type his message his phone was snatched from his hand.
“Hey!” He shouted at the person who took it.
“Stop pining dude, it’s not good for you.” Wes sighed as he sat down next to Blaine. “If you want to see him, go, don’t stay here and stare at your phone. I know you miss him and I bet he misses you too, no matter what went on between you two, you can fix it.”
“I’ll give him another day so he can settle back in before I text him.”
“Okay dude, but message him okay? I don’t think I can cope with an “I miss Kurt” playlist of songs.”
“It’s a more “I love you and need you” playlist.”
“You love him?”
“Yeah, I do.”
