“Hey guys.” He said to them.
The rest said hello in their own ways, Blaine was smiley and said hello, Nick and Jeff grabbed Kurt from behind and hugged him, Oliver nodded his head, David stuck his hand up and Wes lightly punched his arm.
They had a fun time during their dinner; it was full of laughter and the greatest goodbye meal that Kurt could ask for. Oliver was quieter than usual but Kurt didn’t care, he was pissed with Oliver. Kurt got up from the table and said night to them all but Blaine, who was walking him back to his room. Their shoulders hit each other’s several times as they walked down the hallways, talking about gossip and news.
“So Kurt, I guess I’ll be seeing you tomorrow.” Blaine smiled, stepping closer to Kurt, now they were face to face.
“I guess you will.”
“So, goodnight Kurt.” Blaine leaned in and kissed Kurt’s cheek, he didn’t know why he did that but he liked it. He smiled more seeing the pink in Kurt’s cheeks after he did that, Kurt had an adorable blush.
“Goodnight Blaine.” Kurt stared into Blaine’s eyes, he was so tempted to kiss him but he didn’t want Blaine to run away. He just smiled and went into his room.
Blaine stood for what seemed like minutes when it was only thirty seconds watching Kurt go into his room and stare after him.
“Goodnight.” He whispered before going into his own room.
The next day was a bit of a blur for Kurt, in the morning he had to sign papers then he had his final classes which he didn’t remember anything about because both he and Blaine were playing around or he was too busy thinking about McKinley. After school he and Blaine got coffee at the Lima Bean, and then went back to Dalton so Kurt could get ready to leave. Blaine went for a walk so he could think, he needed to know what he was going to do without Kurt, and he was panicking because Kurt wasn’t safe at McKinley, they both knew that.
“Blaine? Helloooooo....” Blaine snapped out of his trance and his head shot up.
“Huh?”
“It’s me, Oliver. Are you in there?” He teased, knocking Blaine's head.
“Oh yeah, I’m here, sorry. I was thinking.”
“About?”
“Kurt. He’s leaving today and I’m just worried about him going back to McKinley.”
“Kurt huh... okay. Do you know what he told me yesterday?”
“No, what did he tell you yesterday?”
“How you and I would make such a cute couple.”
“H-he said that? Kurt said that? I doubt it.”
“No I’m serious, he’s leaving and he’s barely going to have time for you so he thinks you should move on. He said that there is no better choice than me.”
“But...”
“No buts Blaine...”
Oliver stepped closer to Blaine, a hand on his face and kissed him. Blaine in a moment of confusion started kissing back. He didn’t know what he was doing for a minute but then he realised that he was kissing Oliver, not who he thought he was kissing, Kurt. Blaine, unlike Oliver, was unaware that Kurt had stumbled across the pair. Kurt froze for a second, tears in his eyes and shaking his head in disbelief. Blaine turned his head and saw Kurt, his heart sunk and he went to move over to him but Kurt’s head shook quicker. He took a step back and began running, unable to believe that Blaine would kiss someone else even though he had told Kurt that he couldn’t do that right now. Blaine felt incredibly stupid, how could he kiss Oliver? Why? He felt nothing, absolutely nothing for him, he wanted Kurt, he had feelings for Kurt.
Outside it was dark and heavily raining, it was hard to see through the rain and the tears, Kurt had to find his car and he had to leave. He found it and leaned against the window, crying harder, his heart broken. He doubted that Blaine would come after him or even care about him right now, especially since he just had his tongue down Oliver’s throat. He was gutted and hurting, grateful that he was leaving Dalton, forever.
“Kurt?”
Kurt heard a voice, someone calling for him, he couldn’t let himself be seen, he had to go and it had to be now.
“Kurt, please.”
Kurt knew it was Blaine but he couldn’t see him, he slowly unlocked his car and got into the drivers seat, strapping on his seat belt and started the engine. He was just pulling out when he saw Blaine running over to the car, dripping wet. But Kurt didn’t stop, he just drove on and further away from Blaine.
“Kurt!” Blaine shouted, he was crying too, he had just lost Kurt, probably for good. He was so angry he could punch someone. Oliver. This was his fault and he was going to pay, Blaine wouldn’t let him get away with taking away his best friend and the guy he was falling in love with. He was going to get him and he was going to get him good.
