“I’m sorry.” Kurt said quietly trying to push Daniel off him.
“No you’re not sorry, you wanted Blaine to yourself so you did everything you could to break us up. What did I ever do to you that was so bad?” Daniel had his arm pressed to Kurt’s throat, keeping him there.
“You didn’t do anything, I didn’t do anything either. I wasn’t trying to break you up, I swear.”
“Love notes, you wrote and sent Blaine love notes. You kept trying to kiss him...” He went on a long rant about things that Kurt had apparently done.
“I’ve done nothing!” Kurt shouted back, pushing Daniel off of him finally. He wished that he was still against the wall after Daniel’s fist went into his face, hard. He slipped down the wall and hit the floor, holding his bloody nose. He looked up at Daniel in shock, he hadn’t expected him to do that, he didn’t deserve that. Daniel looked down at Kurt in disgust before walking off.
“Kurt!” Blaine ran over to Kurt, not knowing what just happened, he just thought that he was sitting down. When Kurt looked up at him, he gasped in shock and lifted Kurt’s head to look at his bloody nose better. “What happened? Are you okay?”
Kurt didn’t say anything, he didn’t want to get Daniel into trouble and he was told to stay away from Blaine, which was what he was trying to do.
“Kurt, you need to tell me, please.” Blaine begged, putting both hands to Kurt’s face and keeping their eye contact. He was worried about him, he had no idea what had happened, and he didn’t want to believe that it was Daniel, who was never a violent person. “Was it Daniel?”
Kurt nodded slightly. He couldn’t believe that Daniel was violent; he had never hit anyone before from what he was told.
“Kurt, I’m so sorry, so sorry.” Blaine’s thumbs stroked Kurt’s face for a second or two before helping him stand up. “Your nose, so much blood, Come on.”
He put his arm around Kurt to keep him up as he led him inside; he took him back to his room where he helped him clean up.
“Talk to me Kurt, please.” Blaine begged, taking Kurt’s hands and squeezing them.
“About what? What do you expect me to say? I’m being accused of trying to break you two up and I get pushed and punched.”
“About that and you leaving.” He said quietly.
“How did you...” Kurt started then stopped, Oliver, he must have told him. “Oliver, he must’ve told you.”
“No, it was Thad.”
“Thad?” Kurt groaned, he couldn’t trust anyone these days could he. “I didn’t think he’d say anything, it seems I can’t trust anyone.”
“You can trust me, Kurt you can.”
“You told Finn about Karofsky, you told everyone in that dining room.”
“I didn’t tell Finn, Kurt I promise, I wouldn’t have done that to you. The dining room was an accident but I would never have told Finn, especially since you asked me not to.”
“Who... Oliver, again. He was there when you blurted it out.” Kurt sighed. “Do you think he would’ve?”
“Maybe, everything that’s gone wrong seems to link back to him.” Blaine shrugged.
Kurt nodded for a second, thinking back to what Thad had said about Blaine possibly having feelings for him, he thought he should ask.
“Blaine?” He said quietly.
“Hmmm?”
“Do you...” Kurt started then stopped, he was scared about the answer he was going to get, did he really have feelings for him? He wanted to know but if he really didn’t then his heart would just be broken again.
“Do I what Kurt?” Blaine asked, keeping his eyes locked on Kurt’s, giving him a smile to reassure him.
“Do you have feelings for me?” Kurt said slowly, really slowly, he didn’t realise how slow he had actually spoken.
Blaine sighed, he hadn’t expected this question and it was the last one he wanted to answer right now but yes he did have feelings for Kurt, strong feelings, more strong than what he had had for anyone else, ever. He hadn’t realised how long he had been silent for, Kurt nodded and pulled his hands away from Blaine’s and got up, starting to walk away.
“I get it Blaine, why would you like me?” Kurt shrugged, eyes slowly filling with tears. “I’ll see you around Blaine, hope you know what you want and it makes you happy.”
Blaine looked after Kurt sadly, he had to tell him how he felt, he couldn’t just let Kurt walk away with what seemed like a goodbye. He ran after him and spun him round, his lips attaching themselves to Kurt’s. After a second or two of shock Kurt finally kissed back, his arms wrapping around Blaine’s neck and Blaine’s own arms wrapped around Kurt’s waist. They were kissing, finally! The sparks shooting through them were extraordinary; there were fireworks like everyone dreams of, bells and deep feelings. This felt so right, so very right. After a couple of minutes they broke apart, foreheads leaning against the other and their smiles so wide.
“That was...” Kurt said with a laugh.
“Wow!” Blaine replied with a breathless laugh.
“Have you ever...” Kurt started knowing that Blaine could finish the sentence.
“Never.” Blaine smiled wider.
“So what does this mean?” Kurt asked since that was the most obvious question right now.
“What do you mean?”
Kurt pulled away to look at Blaine better, he was unsure why Blaine asked that, surely the question was obvious. “Us, what does this mean for us? If there is.”
“Kurt, I just got dumped...” Blaine started and was unable to finish because Kurt had pulled away completely, giving Blaine a disgusted look and walked away. He thought that Blaine was only doing this because he got dumped, not because he had feelings. It was like when people get dumped and go out and get drunk, get laid so it can help the pain. This is what it felt like.
