Karofsky hurried back home after trashing Kurt's home, he felt really guilty about what he had done. He knew that he had gone overboard but he couldn't take it back now. It was obvious that Blaine would call the police so he had to run. He needed to run. He packed up his stuff before pausing and looking at a family photo, he would be leaving his father, mother and younger siblings. He needed to go. He stuffed the photo in his bag and fled the house. He was now a runaway, he was in so much trouble and he needed help. He couldn't believe how much trouble he was in and he knew that there was no way out of it. Well maybe he could apologise to Kurt for it and beg for his forgiveness.

Kurt was terrified of Karofsky once again, he was more scared of him that what he was at school. The next day his father asked if he and Blaine wanted to help him at work. He thought it was a good idea so that he and Blaine were kept distracted from everything that had happened. He wanted to make sure that he and Blaine were together so that Karofsky couldn't get to his love. It was actually an enjoyable day, all three men working on cars together. That was until Kurt got oil on his favourite overalls and freaked.
"Don't worry honey, i'll take these home and clean them and then I'll bring you a nice fresh pair." Blaine smiled as he took Kurt's dirty overalls in his hand and began the drive home.
Kurt regretted letting Blaine leave, he had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. He shouldn't have let him go.

Blaine arrived home safely and entered the home, he left the front door open for a minute because he was only going to go in and out. He went inside and went to find Kurt's clothes, pulling out the other pair of overalls and then going downstairs to put the other set in the wash. He realised that he needed to go down to the basement, which he did but when he got down there he forgot what he needed. When he turned round he gasped, at the top of the stairs was Karofsky.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Blaine tensed up.
"Where's Kurt?"
"He's not here and if he was, he wouldn't want to see you. You scared the crap out of him, he doesn't want anything to do with you, ever." Blaine reached to grab his phone but Karofsky ran down the stairs and grabbed Blaine, a hand grabbing the phone. Karofsky pushed Blaine to the ground before walking back up the stairs. Karofsky went into his bag and pulled out some bottles of alcohol, he poured them over the stairs and by the door. He then pulled out a match and dropped it, he then set another match and threw it down in the corner of the basement. A fire was started, trapping Blaine in the basement.
"Are you insane?!" Blaine shouted and tried to get past the fire but he couldn't. Karofsky threw the remaining bottles in the basement, watching the fire spreading. Karofsky decided it was time to leave.

Kurt sensed that something wasn't right. He wasn't sure what it was but he just had the feeling. It might be just a feeling because he was worried and stressed and Blaine was alone but he had a feeling.
"Hey dad?"
"Yeah what is it kiddo?" Burt asked under the hood of the car.
"Do you mind if i take your car and go and find Blaine? I'm worried about him."
"Kurt, he went home to get you clean overalls because you freaked about getting the tiniest bit of oil on them."
"Please dad, i don't want him to be on his own." Kurt looked at his dad with puppy dog eyes which always made his father cave.
"Okay, take it and be back in half an hour. Promise me?"
"I promise!" Kurt said and took the keys from his fathers hand once he had got them out of his pocket. "I'll be back soon dad."
Kurt left the shop and drove his fathers car home, he still had that feeling that something wasn't right. He parked up outside and saw that the front door was open, making him jump out of the car and sprint inside.
"BLAINE!" Kurt shouted. He paused and suddenly smelt the smoke and sprinted in the direction of it, stopping at the top of the basement stairs. "BLAINE!"
"Kurt?!"Blaine shouted up before coughing. "Help me!"
Kurt tried to get down the stairs but they were on fire. He took a few steps back and took a run and jump down the stairs. He landed hard and it was painful, he felt Blaine's arms go around him and checking him over to make sure that he was okay.
"Why the hell did you do that?" Blaine asked, looking at him with concern.
"I'm sorry, i'm trying to save you." Kurt got to his feet and grabbed Blaine, he tried to get him up the stairs but he couldn't.
Suddenly there was a bang that knocked them back, one of the alcohol bottles caught on fire and exploded. The fire was spreading and there was no way for them to get out. Kurt grabbed the phone from his pocket and done what he should have done before he even came down here, he called for the fire department. They said they would be there as quickly as they could, but it might not be quick enough. Blaine had been down there longer and inhaled smoke, which could kill him if he wasn't taken out of there quickly. Kurt's eyes followed the fire and gasped when he spotted where it was heading. In the corner there was some sheets, ones his dad used for painting. He grabbed them and threw them over him and Blaine, he got Blaine to his feet and they headed towards the stairs. Suddenly the room exploded.
