Kurt ran his hand down the locker door, tears streaming down his face and a hand clapped down on his shoulder. This shouldn't be happening. He thought everything bad was now over but there was this. He couldn't cope with this. He turned and walked down the corridor, knowing that people were staring after him.
Kurt was snuggled on the couch with Blaine as they watched one of their favourite tv shows when his phone rang. He saw it was his father and he smiled. He answered it cheerfully and with a smile. But within seconds it was gone. He dropped the phone and burst into tears. He crumbled and grabbed onto Blaine for support. Blaine had grabbed the phone ad heard as Burt told him. Blaine cried as he held his fiancee.
Later on Kurt was packing, getting ready to go home. He had asked Baine for a few minutes to himself while he did it. He for some reason, didn't cry while he was alone. He packed up in silence and took his bag out and down to the taxi waiting for them. They drove to the airport where they got the first flight back to Ohio. The flight back was silent, Blaine sat and held Kurt's hand the entire time but neither spoke.
As soon as the plane landed and they were back in Ohio, Kurt saw his father parked outside waiting for them. Without even being asked, Blaine took the bag from Kurt's hand and he watched as Kurt ran into his fathers arms. The two Hummel men hugged each other tightly. They all said their hellos, then they got into the car and drove back to the Hummel-Hudson home.
Blaine watched as Carole completely broke down when she saw Kurt and Burt, the three of them hugged and cried together before Blaine was pulled into it. He had never seen so much sadness and he wanted to take Kurt's pain away. He couldn't even begin to imagine how Carole was feeling. Or Burt. He took Kurt's and his things upstairs and stopped outside one of the rooms, it felt strange standing there. It had been a while. He swallowed his tears as he walked into the room that they were sleeping in. It was so terribly Kurt, of course it was, it was Kurt's old room but it was just a different Kurt.
The glee club, old and new were sat in the choir room in silence. Kurt was holding hands with Blaine and Rachel as Mr. Schue was talking. Kurt didn't feel right sitting in there anymore so he stood up and left the room, Blaine following him. Kurt told Blaine exactly how he felt and Blaine understood. It was different and not the good different. The room felt empty even though it was full of people. They saw flowers and candles and pictures but Kurt couldn't handle looking and the two of them left.
Kurt rummaged through his closet and bags, trying to find the right outfit but he couldn't find one. He got really upset by it and Blaine couldn't say anything to help. Kurt threw a load of clothes on the bed and kept saying that they weren't right. Then he found the one he was looking for, he held it up before going downstairs and getting out the iron. He lay the outfit out over the ironing board and ironed the clothes. Once that was done, he went through Blaine's clothes and did the same, then to his fathers. He knew Carole would pick the right clothes.
There were a lot of people there, more than Kurt and Blaine had expected. The glee club was there, so was Mr Schue and his new wife. Parents were there and so many of their children, most of the teachers were there too. Kurt sat with Blaine, Rachel, his father and Carole as they listened to some guy speak about things he couldn't possibly understand, like how they were feeling. It was a nice thing overall. There wasn't a lot of talking between the five of them. People kept trying to talk to them but they weren't really in the talking mood. They didn't have a lot to say besides "thank you".
Carole and Kurt were going through some stuff when Carole went to through out a precious jacket. Kurt saw her and he grabbed it from her. He put it on and laughed as it was too big for him. The two of them spoke and it was a really deep conversation since they both could understand how the other was feeling. They hugged and cried for a while.
Blaine felt pretty useless. He didn't know what to do. Every one was in pain and there wasn't anything that could be done to help them or take the pain away. Everyone was upset and feeling useless. While Kurt and his family spent some time together, he went to go and visit his mother. She was very glad to see him. She had no idea what happened until he told her. She hugged her son tight and told him that she loved him. They spoke a bit about what Blaine was doing now and the plans for their wedding, which his mother was really into hearing. She kept trying to input ideas that Blaine didn't like the sound of but he went along with it for now.
Kurt had decided to go to the flower shop and pick up a bunch of flowers. He was in there for a little while trying to pick the right ones and then it was whether they were the right colour. Then he came across some that he thought were absolutely perfect. He bought them and got back into his car, driving to the place that he had planned to go. Once he got there, he had to do a little bit of walking before he found the right bit. He put down the flowers and dropped to his knees, running his hand over the stone in front of him.

"Rest in peace, Finn."
