Once again in the wheelchair, Kurt got his father to wheel him to Blaine’s room, stopping in the doorway. Kurt fiddled with his hands nervously as he watched Blaine staring at the ceiling. Would Blaine want to see him? He thought to himself since the last time he saw Blaine; he was kicked out of his room. He missed Blaine and wanted to see him and hope he was feeling better, he also wanted Blaine to know that he loved him and was going to be there for him. He bit his lip and kept his eyes on Blaine, he wasn’t sure if Blaine had even heard him come to the doorway.
“Blaine?” Kurt called out to him. “Am I okay to come in and see you?”
Blaine nodded and Burt pushed Kurt over to the bedside, making sure he was okay and then leaving the room.
“I’ve been worried about you and missing you. Thank you for letting me come and see you.”
“Carole said that my mum wants to take me back to Ohio for treatment but I don’t want to leave you. I’m all for private treatment but if it means leaving New York and you then I won’t do it.” Blaine told his fiance. Kurt took Blaine’s hand and kissed it, leaning against it while he spoke.
“Then I’ll go back to Ohio with you. I’ve lost NYADA and I refuse to lose you too. I’ll take care of you and drive you to and from appointments. I will be there for you and do whatever I can to make you better.”
“You’d do that for me?” Blaine smiled, quite shocked and surprised by his fiancee’s sacrifice.
“I’d do anything for you.”
“God I love you.” Blaine said, happy tears running down his cheeks. “I can’t wait to marry you.”
“I love you too. We’re going to be okay.”
“We’ll be more than okay; we’re going to be great because you and I are indestructible.”

After talking it over with Mrs. Anderson, she had arranged for Blaine to be put under private and expensive treatment. She had decided that she was going to get Blaine taken to the hospital near where they live, so she had called for a transfer. It was a helicopter coming to take Blaine there, but Kurt didn’t want Blaine to go without him so he had to find a way there. Mrs. Anderson wouldn’t let him go in the helicopter and he couldn’t go by plane yet. He was getting frustrated. After some persuasion from Blaine, Kurt was allowed on the helicopter too. Kurt had discharged himself so that he could go with Blaine, he knew he wasn’t fully recovered but he would be in time. He and Blaine had discussed it and Blaine wasn’t happy about it but at least he’d have Kurt with him in Ohio. Blaine told his mother that he would only accept the treatment if he could live in the Hummel-Hudson household because he refused to live in the same house as his father. Mrs. Anderson of course wasn’t happy about it but at least her son would be in Ohio and getting treatment. Kurt was thrilled that he and Blaine would be under the same roof and hopefully in the same bed. But first Blaine would have to get released from hospital, that wouldn’t be too long with any luck, then he’d be fitted with his brace and get his wheelchair.

Blaine couldn’t help but feel guilty when they arrived back in Ohio; he knew that Kurt worked so hard to escape this place only to have to come back. They should both be in New York and settling into their new home together. This shouldn’t be happening but it was and now their lives were changed and if Blaine’s spine didn’t heal, then this would be their life. Blaine would be in a wheelchair and Kurt would be taking care of him, maybe even grow to resent Blaine and leave him. That thought hurt Blaine’s heart. Maybe he should offer Kurt a way out, but he knew that right now Kurt wouldn’t take it. He remembered when Kurt was blind, Kurt tried to set him free but Blaine wouldn’t take it. Being in the new hospital felt weird to Blaine, he’d been there so many times but as rarely a patient. He was mostly there for Kurt because of the amount of times he was hurt. He could remember waking up after the accident and seeing Kurt lifeless, bleeding and pale, being so terrified that Kurt was dead. He hadn’t told Kurt but he had had nightmares about the accident. Most of his nightmares involved Kurt dying and he hated that. He was so glad whenever he woke up, Kurt was there. Kurt made everything better.
“They won’t let me stay the night here but as soon as i wake up in the morning, I’ll be here and I won’t leave until the end of visiting hours, I promise.” Kurt smiled, kissing Blaine’s head. “And you have your phone if you just want to talk.”
“I wish you could stay and sneak under the bed whenever a nurse came in. I really want wait to get out of this place, I hate hospitals. I’d much rather be at home in bed with you.”
“In bed as sleeping, snuggling or sex?” Kurt grinned.
“All three!” Blaine grinned back.
“Well the quicker you get better and get out of here, the quicker you’ll get to sleep and snuggle with me and then over time, the sex will return too. But until then i’ll just be your sexy little nurse.”
“Now that I am looking forward to.” Blaine laughed. “Thank you.”
“What are you thanking me for?”
“For coming back with me, for not leaving me, for being there and wanting to take care of me. If you ever...” Blaine started but his lips were covered by Kurt’s.
“No, don’t say it. I won’t leave you baby, I love you and you and I will get through this. You will learn to walk again and you will walk on our wedding day and we will dance together.”
“I can’t wait to marry you.”
