Kurt kept having nightmares and had to be woken up most nights, some nights he thrashed about and one time he accidentally hit Blaine. He felt so guilty about it; Blaine tried everything to make Kurt feel better. Eventually the doctor gave Kurt sleeping pills, so he could get through the night without the nightmares. Blaine on the other hand was doing better, he was still on his crutches but the doctor told him that it wouldn’t be long before he didn’t need them anymore. He still had to do something to show Kurt how sorry he was about everything, make him know that he loved Kurt more than anything. He had absolutely no idea what to do. Most days Kurt and he lay together in the bedroom and they watched movies. He mostly thought about what had happened to them both in the past year. Kurt and he had been through so much, it was really unbelievable. If he told someone what had happened to them, no one would believe them. It really did sound like something out of a very dramatic story or fanfic.
“Are you going to re-audition for NYADA?” Kurt asked, looking up at Blaine. He was snuggled against his chest; he loved being snuggled up against Blaine.
“Yeah of course, i still have a few months to get stronger but i don’t need a big dance number to impress them so i won’t do it.”
Kurt looked up at him. “But i do?”
“No! No baby. I never said that, i meant that i didn’t do a big number last time and i impressed them so i don’t need to do another. If they want me to then i will but i have time to get stronger.” Blaine smiled and stroked Kurt’s hair. “You don’t need a big dance number either, all you have to do is walk in that stage and they’ll be impressed.”
Kurt blushed and snuggled closer, kissing Blaine’s chest and feeling Blaine’s arms tighten around him. He loved being with Blaine like this, them snuggling and just being together. It had been months since they had had sex; they’d done it more than once but not that many times. He didn’t know when they’d have sex again or if Blaine even wanted to. Blaine loved him but he had probably lost all sexiness that Blaine liked about him. Blaine would probably feel sick looking at Kurt’s body, seeing the scars and the writing on him. Of course Blaine wouldn’t want to sleep with Kurt. Blaine was still as beautiful as the day Kurt met him, even more beautiful if anything.
“What are you thinking about?” Blaine asked as he curled Kurt’s hair around his fingers.
“Us.” Kurt said honestly.
“What about us?”
“Sex mostly.”
“You want to have sex? Now?” Blaine asked, a little surprised and shook his head. “No, no sex”
“I wasn’t asking for sex.” Kurt thought Blaine sounded disgusted by what he said, of course he’d say no.
“Then what is it?”
“Forget it.” Kurt mumbled.
“No, come on. Please tell me.”
“We won’t ever have sex again, will we?”
“What makes you say that? Do you not want to have sex?”
“I revolt you, don’t i? My scars and the cut.” Kurt said quietly. “I get it, i wouldn’t want to have sex with me either.”
Blaine was even more surprised by that, removed the hand from Kurt’s hair and used it to tilt Kurt’s head up to look at him. “You are the most beautiful being in this entire world; you certainly do not revolt me. Yes i want to have sex with you but right now we can’t because of my back, your dad is home and we aren’t exactly quiet. I love you more than anything and i don’t care about scars because i love you. You hear me, Kurt Hummel? I love you! I love you! I love you!” That made a smile appear on Kurt’s lips as he leaned up to kiss Blaine.
“Did i ever tell you that you’re perfect?”
“I’m far from perfect.”
“You’re perfect to me.”

Christmas was approaching and Kurt wasn’t exactly excited. This time last year he was blind and struggling with everything, now Blaine was recovering from a fractured spine. Their lives kinda sucked but they had each other and always will. He didn’t know what to get for Blaine for Christmas, maybe some clothes or a cd or something. He hadn’t thought much about their upcoming wedding due to everything that had happened, but he knew that they should start planning soon. He had ideas in his head and he had been planning weddings since he was a little kid, he hoped he and Blaine had the same ideas.
“I think we should start wedding planning.” Kurt told Blaine.
“You want to?” Blaine asked with a smile.
“Yeah I do, its something good to look forward to.” Kurt smiled and took Blaine’s hand. “Right, i have some magazines that we can look through.” He leaned over and kissed Blaine’s cheek before running to their room and getting the magazines.
Blaine smiled at Kurt’s enthusiasm and grinned as Kurt came running back with his arms full of magazines. Kurt sat down next to Blaine and went through the top magazine, finding the right page and turned to face Blaine more.
“First off, when should we get married?”
“How about a summer wedding?” Blaine suggested.
“I love that idea! What month?”
“June?”
“A June wedding?! Yes! That’s perfect!” Kurt grabbed the notepad and began writing. “So that gives us six months to organise this wedding. So we have to: announce our engagement to everyone, pick an actual date, and determine the type of wedding, the location, the theme, the amount of guests, formality and the time of day. We also need to determine the budget and how expenses will be shared, keep a record of payments, create the guest list, decide if we’re inviting children, select and reserve ceremony site, book an Officiant, book the reception location, order suits, determine a colour scheme, obtain passports, birth certificates, any documents needed to travel and/or marriage licences.” Kurt read out.
“That is a lot of stuff.” Blaine said with a laugh.
“Oh that’s the stuff that we’re supposed to do in the first nine to twelve months.”
Blaine’s face was hilarious making Kurt lean over and kiss him. “There’s more, this is the stuff we’re supposed to do between six to nine months: book the caterer, book photographer, select wedding party, give wedding party a list of their responsibilities, buy attire for bridesmaids and flower girl, book ceremony musicians, book band or DJ for reception, book videography if we want one, book florist, register wedding gifts.”
“Wow that’s a lot and we have to do all that first.”
“That and also the four to six month stuff like schedule fittings if we have custom made bridesmaids dresses, if we’re having any marriage prep-courses then we need to arrange them, reserve rented items, book decorator, finalize an A and B list of guests, select and order invitations and other wedding stationary, set date, time and location for rehearsal dinner, book honeymoon night suite, arrange accommodation for out of town guests, start planning the honeymoon, shop for wedding gifts, buy shoes, sexy outfits and accessories, select and order wedding bands.” Kurt read out, smiling up at a shocked Blaine. “Don’t worry baby, i know all about weddings so you help me decide and i’ll do the ordering.”
“What do we have to do in the other months?”
“Take formal engagement picture, order wedding cake, order party favours, select and order decorations, purchase honeymoon attire and luggage, select and book wedding day transport, start addressing invitations, obtain marriage licence, send out invitations, select ceremony readers, select ushers to seat guests, select guest book attendant, select your MC...”
“What’s an MC?”
“Master of Ceremonies.”
“What’s that?”
“No idea, lets skip that one.” Kurt grinned and continued reading. “Maintain a record of RSVP’s and early wedding gifts, maintain a record of any shower gifts and send thank you’s, purchase all ceremony and reception accessories; guest book, toasting glasses, ring pillow etc. Select and reserve wedding attire for gentlemen, mail invitations to rehearsal dinner, plan bridesmaid’s luncheon, select something old, new, borrowed and blue. In the last few weeks we’ll need to: finalize all food and beverage for wedding, finalize all ceremony details with Officiant, and make sure the rehearsal arrangements, floral arrangements and final fittings are finalized. We’ll also have to make a wedding day itinerary, give a copy to our wedding party and vendors, finalize all the details with the vendors, decide on the order of receiving line and head table setting, contact any un-replied guests, pick up wedding rings, give photographer a photo checklist, visit reception for floor plan, create reception seating plan, give musicians a list of music selection, inform attendants where and when to pick up attire, print out seat cards and pick up honeymoon tickets. On the last week we have to give our caterer and reception venue final tally of guests, pack for honeymoon, wrap reception flavours and arrange mail collection while on honeymoon.”
“Is that all?” Blaine asked, his face slightly paling and panicking a little at how much they’d have to do. He saw Kurt shake his head and read the rest. This was so much, all too much. He didn’t think he could do it, this wedding was too much.

End Notes: I actually looked up wedding stuff so i hope to get everything right since i've never planned nor been to a wedding
