Blaine had no idea what had happened to his mother, he was just at home enjoying some time with Kurt. They snuggled up together and watched the Breakfast Club because that was one of Blaine's favourites. Neither of them spoke much during the film but that was okay because it wasn't an uncomfortable silence, it was a nice one. Blaine had his arms tight around Kurt and his boyfriend had his head on Blaine's shoulder. Neither of them heard Blaine's phone ring , it was Kurt's phone that alerted them that they were needed.
"Kurt!" Burt said in a worried voice down the phone. "Is Blaine there?"
"Yeah Blaine's here, why is everything okay?" Kurt asked, looking at Blaine and now both boys were worried.
"Get to the hospital right now."
"Why? What's happened?"
"It's Dianna. Get Blaine and hurry." Burt hung up and Kurt looked at Blaine, unsure of how to break Blaine's heart.
"What is it?" Blaine asked. "Is it my mum? Tell me Kurt!"
"It's your mum, i don't know what it is but it sounds serious." Kurt got up and threw Blaine his jacket.
Blaine was freaking out, his mother had to be okay. She just had to. He and Kurt pretty much sprinted to the car, they thought it was a good idea if Kurt drove.

When they got there, they ran inside and asked the receptionist where they could find Dianna Anderson. They were told and they ran upstairs where Burt met them. His eyes had huge red circles around them and he was shaky.
"What's happened to my mum?" Blaine said.
"She went into labour and your sister was born. Dianna started bleeding out." Burt said. "She's having emergency surgery."
Blaine gripped onto Kurt's hand as he struggled not to cry.
"What about the baby?" Kurt asked.
"The doctors are working on her too. She wasn't breathing." Burt's lip was quivering, Kurt could see. Kurt let go of Blaine's hand to hug his father tight before hugging Blaine.
"This can't happen to me again. The woman i love cannot leave me with a child again!" Burt cried.
Kurt gripped onto Blaine and rubbed his back, listening to Blaine cry.

Burt took the boys to the baby unit where they waited for news on the baby girl. Kurt comforted Blaine and tried hus best to make sure he was okay. A nurse came out and came over to Burt.
"Mr. Hummel?" She asked and he nodded. "Your baby is breathing now and she's doing good, she's got a strong heartbeat and she's healthy. Do you want to see her?"
"Do you know how Dianna is?" He asked.
"I'm sorry sir but i can find out." The nurse said and walked off to do as she said.
"Does the baby have a name?" Blaine asked.
"No, not yet. We had a list but we couldn't pick."
"Tell me the names, if mum doesn't... if she dies... i want to name her. I know what she would pick." Blaine said to Burt.
"Alexa, Aria, Kaitlin, Daisy and Rose." Burt said.
"So what name do you like?" Kurt asked.
"Aria." Blaine said. "I like Aria."
"So she's Aria Hummel." Burt looked through the window at the baby, she was so beautiful and tiny. She looked so much like Dianna that it hurt. It reminded him of Elizabeth, how it pained him to look at Kurt because they look alike. Now Aria looks like Dianna so if Dianna died, it would pain Burt to look like Aria.
"What name would you have picked?" Blaine asked Kurt.
"Aria." Kurt smiled a little and stroked the back of Blaine's hand.

"Mr. Hummel?" The nurse had returned. "Mrs. Anderson is out of surgery and is in recovery. Follow me."
Kurt, Burt and Blaine followed the nurse to the recovery room, where they saw Dianna lying unconscious on the bed. The nurse told them that she'd wake up soon and she should be okay. Burt and Blaine hugged each other and cried relieved tears. They both went in to see her while the nurse took Kurt to see the baby.
"Are you her brother?"
"Yeah, half brother." Kurt said as he stroked the baby's head.
"She's pretty."
"She looks like her mother, she's pretty too." Kurt said, unable to take his eyes off of the baby.
"Who was the other boy you were with?"
"My boyfriend and Mrs. Anderson's son."
"So wait, you're dating your sisters brother?"
"We were dating before our parents got together. We got together, then our parents did, then the baby happened. So we're not in the wrong." Kurt said.
"It's very strange." The nurse said.
Kurt laughed. "Yeah it is. We weren't happy about it at first, well we weren't happy about any of it until right this second. Seeing my sister, it's just made it all better and more real."
"Do you want to hold her?"
Kurt really wanted to say yes but he thought about Blaine, Dianna and his dad. "No, i think the parents should hold her first. She is really beautiful though and i desperately want to say yes."

Blaine sat by Dianna's bedside and held her hand for a long time, neither he or Burt had noticed that Kurt wasn't there because no one spoke. They were just sat by the bed and watched Dianna sleep. A while later she stirred, groaning and opened her eyes.
"What happened?" She asked groggily.
"You bled out after having the baby, they had to take you into surgery." Burt told her.
"Is the baby okay?" Dianna asked as she looked around for the baby and got worried when she couldn't see her.
"She's okay."
"She. A baby girl, i'm so happy." Dianna smiled.
"Have you got a name?"
"I really like Aria. It's a beautiful name." Dianna smiled more. "I want to see my baby, please."
Blaine smiled when he heard what his mother wanted to call the baby, its the same name that he had picked. "I like that name."
"I can see if i can bring the baby to you." Burt said before leaving the room.

Burt found the room where Aria was and looked through the window and saw Kurt talking to the baby with a smile. He had no idea that Kurt even liked kids but it was sweet to see his two children bonding. He walked into the room, not happy that he was going to interrupt a sweet moment.
"Hey." Burt smiled.
"Oh hi." Kurt said.
"I'm just getting her for Dianna, she's awake now."
"Good."
Burt scooped Aria up into his arms and held her close, he couldn't believe how tiny and beautiful she was. He left the room and took her to see Dianna. Dianna lit up as soon as she saw her baby.
"Is that her?" Dianna grinned. "She's so gorgeous!"
Burt lowered the baby into her arms, she held her baby close and rocked her.
"You're such a beautiful baby, my little miracle. I love you, Aria."
