Author's Notes: I'd like to apologise for the wait for this chapter. I've started a new job and i'm doing full time hours at the moment so by the time i get home i'm too tired to write, so i've been doing a little bit over time. My day off is Saturday so i might be able to update then.
Kurt didn’t know what to do, maybe he should risk it and let Finn hurt him because he loved his dad so much and wanted him to be happy. Sure, he wasn’t thrilled about his dad dating his boyfriend’s mum but if it made him happy, then he and Blaine had to suck it up. But then if he let Finn beat him up then his dad would get angry and there’d be a huge fight amongst parents and if he broke up his dad, he would have to live with the guilt and seeing his father so unhappy. He didn’t know what to do. Maybe he could see Carole and tell her what Finn said to him but then what if Finn started bullying him at school, well maybe it was okay because other people would see it right? There was the glee club and then Blaine was always around so he wouldn’t have a chance to do anything. So he decided what he was going to do, he was going to see Carole Hudson.

After school, Kurt drove to the Hudson home and parked up outside. He looked at the house and saw it wasn’t anything special but it looked homely. He really liked Carole so he was sure she’d understand, so he got out of the car and walked to the door, knocking on it. After half a minute there was an answer.
“Hello Mrs. Hudson, do you remember me? I’m Kurt Hummel, Burt’s son.” Kurt announced.
“Oh hello Kurt, if you’re looking for Finn he’s at football practice.” Carole smiled at him.
“No, i’m here to talk to you actually.”
“What about?”
“Finn.”
“Oh well then, come in.” Carole stood aside and let Kurt in and closed the door behind him. “Can i get you anything?”
“No thank you. I won’t be here long.” Kurt smiled and sat down on the couch.
“So what is it about Finn?”
“He seems quite upset about you and my dad not working out, which actually i want to apologise for. He really did like you but with Mrs. Anderson, he just fell in love.”
“It’s okay Kurt, it was only a date. I like your dad but i understand love.”
“But Finn doesn’t it seems.”
“What do you mean?”
Kurt shifted nervously in his seat. “Well he doesn’t like that my dad and Mrs. Anderson are together and he told me to break them up or i’ll be sorry.”
Carole’s face was shocked, Kurt could tell that she wasn’t expecting anything like this or she didn’t know that it had affected Finn in this way. “I’m so sorry Kurt. This isn’t like Finn at all, he is very protective of me but this is too far. I am so sorry. He won’t lay a finger on you, I promise.”
“It’s not me I’m worried about Mrs. Hudson, it’s my family.”
“Well he won’t do anything, i won’t let him. Thank you for telling me, Kurt.”

When Kurt left the Hudson home he felt a lot better, he knew that nothing was going to happen because Mrs. Hudson wouldn’t allow it. He smiled to himself in the car, looking forward to going home and seeing his dad and boyfriend. Kurt decided to pick up some coffee and bagels for his boyfriend when he got a text.
”Meet me at the Lima Bean.” It said. It made Kurt laugh because that’s exactly where he was; he looked round and saw Blaine sat in the corner with a bunch of flowers and talking to himself, which made him smile. He walked over to Blaine and kept the smile on his face, but it grew when Blaine failed to notice Kurt coming. Kurt coughed and watched as Blaine jumped and looked at him and began stuttering.
“H-hey!” Blaine smiled and thrusted the flowers in Kurt’s direction.
Kurt grinned and took the flowers; he smelt them and looked at Blaine. “They’re beautiful, thank you.”
“You were quick.” Blaine noticed.
“Well i was already here you see, i was over there getting in line to buy you a coffee and a bagel.”
“Really? Awwww! You’re so sweet Kurt but as you can see, i’ve already done that for us.”
“Saves me money then.” Kurt grinned and sat down opposite Blaine.
“So what have you been doing, oh beautiful one?”
“Well i had to visit Finn’s mum,” Kurt started talking. “because apparently, according to Finn she is heartbroken.”
“Oh no, is she okay?” Blaine asked, taking Kurt’s hands in his own.
“She’s fine actually but it wasn’t just for that reason that i went to see her. Finn actually threatened me.”
“He threatened you?! Are you okay?” Blaine squeezed Kurt’s hands.
“Yeah i’m okay, he just said that if i didn’t break up my dad and your mum then i’d be sorry. I just decided to go straight to Mrs. Hudson and tell her because i am sick of being trodden on.”
“I am proud of you baby, you’re so amazing.” Blaine smiled at him. “What did she say?”
“Well she said that she’ll make sure that Finn won’t lay a finger on me.”
“Good because i’d lose it if anything happened to you. It was hard enough last time; i don’t know what i’d do if anything happened again.”
“Nothing is going to happen to me, i’ll be fine.” Kurt smiled. “So what’s all this about? You know the flowers and meeting you here.”
“Oh well i thought i’d treat you and take you on a date, if that’s okay.”
“Of course that’s okay! I’d love it if you took me on a date. So what are we doing on this date?”
“We are going to have a coffee here and then we’re doing to see a movie, then after we’re going to dinner at Breadstix.”
Kurt grinned, absolutely loving that idea. It was simple yet very sweet and romantic. “That sounds amazing, i’d really love that. Wait, i need to call dad and tell him.”
“Already done that baby, i told him before i came here.”
“Then let’s get coffee and then have our romantic date.”
