It wasn’t long before Burt came home from the hospital and things were going back to as normal as things could be. Kurt was making his dad more healthy meals, cutting out salts and bad food out of his diet. He didn’t want his dad to have another heart attack or worse. Die. He spent the rest of the summer making sure his father was doing better but then it came to the first day of his and Blaine’s senior year. After this year, they would be off to New York together, he assumed. He was so excited about their senior year; it was going to be amazing. Kurt was going to get into NYADA and everything would be perfect.
“Kurt?” Blaine was waving his hand in front of Kurt’s face, trying to get his attention. “We’re here.”
Kurt looked round and saw they were at school. He hoped so much that this year would be better than the last. Karofsky was gone and hopefully the other bullies would lay off him so he could be happy at last.
“Senior year, it’s going to be amazing.” Kurt smiled at Blaine before leaning over and kissing him. “Let’s go inside.”
They both got out of the car and met up to hold hands, swinging them as they walked into the school building. No one turned and stared, they were all too busy hugging, high fiving their friends or making out with their boy/girlfriends. They spotted their glee friends at the end of the hallway, so they started walking over to them.
“Hey guys!” Blaine smiled at them, each of them taking turns to hug each other. “Have a good summer?”
“Yeah!” Most of them said.
“How was your summer?”
Well, what could they both say? That their parents got together and were now expecting a baby? Yeah they should maybe miss that part out.
“My parents broke up.” Blaine told them because it was true.
“Oh god, I’m so sorry Blaine.” Rachel said sadly.
“What about you Kurt?” Tina asked.
“Nothing much apart from my dads heart attack.”
“You guys had a terrible summer.”
“It wasn’t so bad; we were together so it made it better.”

Rachel knew exactly what she wanted to do once she finished the school year; she was going to New York and go to NYADA. She was certain she was going to get in but she was still going to make sure that she had everything she needed to get in. She knew that Kurt was trying to get in too but she was more desperate for it, she’d wanted this since she was a kid. She was currently dating Finn but she didn’t know what his plans were, she just assumed that he’d go with her and get a job or something. She thought it was the same with Kurt and Blaine, one of them would get successful and the other would simply just get a job. She wanted Kurt to be successful but she could see it being Blaine. She wasn’t trying to sound mean, she was just thinking realistically.
“Rachel! Miss Pillsbury had a booklet on NYADA and i found out that they’re doing this thing soon, we can watch them perform. Want to do it?” Kurt asked.
“Yeah sure, sounds great. Kurt, do you think we’ll get into NYADA?”
“Yeah of course we will! We’re both talented and fabulous, so why shouldn’t we?”
“Good, its great you have so much confidence in us.”
“I do!”

“Blaine?” Kurt walked into the empty choir room to see Blaine there; he was sat at the piano and smiled when Kurt walked in. “Do you think I’m good enough to get into NYADA?”
“Of course, you’re the most talented person i know.” Blaine smiled.
“You really think so, you don’t think i need to change or get better?”
“No, i think you’re amazing just the way you are.” And then Blaine burst into song, changing the lyrics to fit the situation.

Kurt was a melted puddle of goo by the time Blaine finished singing, he was so sweet and Kurt’s eyes were shining with tears. He leaned in and kissed Blaine deeply, a hand on his face and stroking Blaine’s cheek.
“You are the sweetest.” Kurt smiled, leaning his forehead against Blaine’s.
“I’m just in love. I’m an idiot in love and i’ve had that song in my head for the past couple of days and i needed to get it out of my system and now I have.” Blaine grinned.
“You are an idiot.” Kurt smiled more and kissed Blaine again, arms round around his neck. He was so happy right now thanks to Blaine, he was pretty sure that this year would be his year. It had to be. He had Blaine, he would get New York and NYADA and they would live happily ever after there.
