Author's Notes: A chapter about the parents!
Dianna Anderson was feeling pretty lonely, her husband was gone, Cooper no longer lived with them and Blaine was either at school or with Kurt. She hadn’t heard from Mark since he left not that it worried her. She did miss him and still loved him but she deserved so much better. She should’ve kicked him out years ago but she didn’t because she loved him. He hadn’t been a dad to Blaine, there was only one man in their lives that was a dad to him and that was Burt Hummel, Mark’s former best friend. She decided to pay him a visit and see if he was free to talk, mostly about Mark and Blaine.
“Dianna!” Burt smiled widely and let his friend into the house. “How are you?”
“Well Mark left; Blaine is with Kurt and is never home so I’m a bit lonely.” Dianna sighed, sitting down and making herself comfortable.
“Well that calls for a strong drink.” Burt went and raided his alcohol cabinet bringing back a bottle and two glasses.
“Thanks.” Dianna took one and filled up her glass, downing the strong drink in one and pulling a face when it was finished. “I really needed that.”
“I know how you feel. I’m incredibly lonely, my wife is dead and my son is always out with your son and when he’s not, he’s arranging dates for me with his friends mothers. I hate being lonely, everyone is married and happy besides us.” Burt said after a while, both of them had had a few drinks and were feeling it.
“I haven’t been happy for years! My husband loved your wife, not me!” Dianna shouted drunkenly.
“Mark loved Lizzie?! That bastard!” Burt shouted and poured more drinks. “You didn’t deserve him Di, you deserved better.”
Both of them downed their drinks and then looked at each other before Dianna pounced and kissed Burt deeply. They kissed deeply for a few minutes, moaning and gripping at each other before Burt pulled out of the kiss. He pushed Dianna off of him and took her hand, both of them stumbling their way up the stairs.

Burt woke up a couple of hours later and looked over to see a dark haired woman sleeping on the other side of the bed. His head pounded as he leaned over to see who it was, once he saw the woman’s face he remembered what happened. He slept with Dianna! Everything he felt, it wasn’t regret. He wrapped an arm around her and she turned round and snuggled against his chest. It wasn’t long though before she woke up and looked at him.
“Hey.” She smiled at him sleepily. Burt brushed the hair out of her face and stroked her cheek.
“That was unexpected but in the good way.” Burt smiled at her.
“I’ve liked you for a while Burt, you’re kind and sweet and you’re an amazing father...” Then she realised. “Our boys! God, what are they going to say?”
“I don’t know. I think they’d be a bit weirded out, the fact that they’re together and so are their parents.”
“We’re together?” Dianna asked. “But we’ll have to make it a secret because they will freak if they know.”
“I’m happy with keeping it a secret, as long as I have you.” Burt leaned down and kissed her; she kissed back but only for a second or two because of a slamming sound downstairs. “Kurt!”
Burt jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed; he kissed Dianna before rushing out of the room. “Oh hey Kurt,” Burt said before noticing Blaine. “And Blaine, hello.”
“Are you okay?” Kurt asked, noticing something strange was up with his father.
“I’m great.” Burt laughed nervously. “You two should go hang out, do what you kids do these days besides sex. I have some things I need to do.” Blaine and Kurt gave Burt a weird look before Burt turned and walked into the table. He laughed it off before hurrying back upstairs.
“What was that about?” Blaine asked.
“I have no idea.” Kurt replied.

Burt reentered his room and shut the door behind him; he looked at Dianna who was still lying in bed with the covers wrapped around her. He lay down on the bed beside her, smiling at her warmly.
“It was the boys; they’re in Kurt’s room.” His fingers started stroking Dianna’s dark hair. “You are the first person in such a long time to make me feel something. I like that. I’ve missed feeling something towards an alive woman and I’m glad it is you that I feel something for.”
“I guess I’m a bit of a hypocrite then, getting so angry about Mark being in love with Liz when I feel something for you.”
“But you’re not, he’s felt that love for years but you only felt something when you knew your marriage wasn’t right. When you knew that Mark had changed so much and there was no going back.”
“What about our boys? When we tell them, they won’t be happy. What if one day we decide to get married and they’re still together? They’d be step brothers. Or what if because we just slept together without protection that I get pregnant? What about them then? They’ll have a little brother or sister. They love each other Burt, whatever we do will destroy them and make sure that they can’t be together. People will be disgusted by the thought of step brothers being together or getting married or if i do get pregnant, the kid and its friends will be confused by the fact that their older brothers are actually boyfriends. Whatever we do is going to be wrong for our boys; we can’t do this, can we?”
“The chances of you getting pregnant from that are pretty slim and I want to be with you. I know its selfish of me but I really don’t want to let the first woman i’ve had feelings for in eight years, go. I want to be with you Dianna and I will do whatever it takes.”
“Oh Burt!” Dianna leaned forward and kissed him and started to unbutton his shirt at the same time.
