“Oh Frannie, my baby sister, I’m so sorry it’s all my fault.” Quinn cried. She cried herself to sleep on the floor of the car holding hands with her sister.
When night came Frannie was still unconscious. Blaine and Cooper came out of their graves and went over to the car. Quinn was now awake and stroking her sister’s hair.
“You know we still don’t know her name.” Cooper said.
“Her name is Frannie.” Quinn said quietly.
“I can heal her you know, do you want me to?” Blaine suggested.
“Yes! I mean yes please, I’d be in your debt, twice actually for saving her and healing her.” Quinn lit up, she knew that without the healing then her sister would die.
Blaine crouched down, he started with her hands, and he licked the dried blood away. Cooper watched wearily from the side as Blaine bit his arm and put his bloody arm to Frannie’s lips. She began to drink and when she’d had enough Blaine pulled away and his flesh healed like nothing had happened to it. The three of them watched eagerly as Frannie awoke. The swelling on her face was slowly going and the holes in her hands were almost closed. To see Quinn smiling at seeing her sister alive and well meant everything to Blaine, if only he could see Kurt smiling, just once and he’d be satisfied. Thinking of Kurt, Blaine went to put his hand on the pendant but it was gone. He rushed around looking for it, he ran to the grave where he’d slept and it wasn’t there. Cooper followed him back into the building.
“Blaine, where are you going? Come back!” Cooper called.
“Its Kurt’s necklace it’s gone, i need to find it. Help me please.” Blaine cried.
They ran through the house trying to find the necklace. Cooper found it on the floor of the room where they’d rescued Rosie. The chain had snapped but the heart was perfectly intact. He held it out back into the night just staring at it.
“What’s that Blaine?” Quinn asked.
“It’s his fiancee’s necklace, he found it the night he was kidnapped” Cooper whispered to her.
“He was kidnapped? Why didn’t you say anything earlier? Is that why you were so desperate to rescue Frannie?” Quinn asked sympathetically.
Blaine nodded and Quinn took the necklace and put a spell on it to fix the chain.
“It’s the last thing i have to remember him by, object wise i mean, i have Cooper sure but this necklace it makes me feel like he’s with me.” Blaine sniffed, trying not to cry.
“What happened?” Frannie spoke for the first time.
“I had just proposed to him on the evening of his 18th birthday when two vampires, Sebastian and Santana, attacked us. Sebastian snatched Kurt from my grasp and threw him to Santana. He lunged at me dragging me to the ground; he drank from me then oozed his vile venom into me, turning me. I lie on the ground, i couldn’t move and all i could hear was Kurt’s screams. The last thing i heard before i passed out was one horrifying, blood curdling scream and every time i sleep that’s what i hear. What I’d give to see his beautiful face again, to feel his soft brown hair wind around my fingers to hear his sweet voice.” Blaine sobbed, unable to control himself now.
Blaine looked up, Frannie had been crying and Quinn looked devastated.
“Blaine, I’m so sorry. I can tell you something though I know Sebastian and Santana, a husband and wife team working for Sue. They are in debt to her you see, their current assignment is to transport a boy called Karl Henderson safely to Sue from Jesse. That’s why they got Frannie, but they got the wrong sister it was supposed to be me they got because it’s my mission to save Karl from these vampires. How did you describe him?” Quinn asked, having a thought.
“Pale face like a doll, short brown hair and his eyes are a hypnotising blue and green, they’re so perfect. His figure is perfect, he is so thin but somehow muscular and he is fairy tale beautifu.l” Blaine said dreamily after he stopped crying.
“He sounds like the Karl boy that i have to save; do you suppose this could be the same boy?” Quinn asked.
“Yes, i am sure it’s the same boy. You see Cooper i told you he’d still be alive i told you so!” Blaine said laughing and smiling.
Cooper couldn’t help but smile too; knowing his brother’s boyfriend was alive meant so much, seeing his brother so happy after all this time was just amazing. He grabbed Blaine and hugged him. Quinn and Frannie couldn’t help but smile.
“I have seen Kar... Kurt myself, briefly though i have not spoken to him. He is a slave you see, tortured constantly by Jesse, the man he works for, i could not rescue him then for they keep moving to stop followers.” Quinn informed the boys. “They plan to move him to Sue’s place so he can commence with the exchange.”
“What are they exchanging for?” Cooper asked.
“Life.” Quinn replied. “Sue is going to use Kurt as a sacrifice in the most brutal way possible, he is rare, a half vampire and a half witch, a blood witch. He is not aware he is a witch though. If we are not in time, the is no way we can save him at all.”
“What are they going to do?” Frannie asked.
“It’s disgusting, they drink him dry for he is not a whole vampire so they still get nutrient from the blood, then they cut him open and remove his organs and feed all but his heart to the animals. The heart is eaten by the one performing the sacrifice, in this case Sue. After eating his heart they will remove his bones grind them down and make weapons out of them. His flesh would be burnt as a thank you to the Gods.” Quinn said disgusted.
Blaine’s face went even more pale than usual. They had to save him; he’d already thought he’d lost him once he couldn’t bear to lose him for real.
