150 years has passed since Kurt was kidnapped and vampires Blaine and Cooper still look for him, Cooper is having doubts that Kurt is still alive; can Blaine get him back on side?
Blaine was woken by the piercing scream which caused him so much heart ache 150 years ago. 150 years had passed and Blaine had still not found Kurt, he was determined to find out what happened to him at least because he refused to believe that he was dead and if he was he wanted to take revenge. The date was now Monday 26th March 2012, so much had changed since 1850, there was electricity in every home, mobile phones, cars and laptops, it was so much to take in after living the life that Blaine and Cooper had. They now own a car so they can move around and live places while searching, thanks to compelling, an ability they acquired once they were turned vampire.
“You still have that dream?” Cooper asked, concerned for his brother.
“Yes, every day since that night” Blaine replied getting up from his coffin. Again thanks to compelling they managed to get two new coffins made for them for free. He was so grateful for that power, thanks to it, they could feed without killing and they could take the pain away.
“So you think that finding out what happened to Kurt will stop it?” Cooper asked, knowing that it might but if Kurt was dead, like he thought, then the nightmares might not go. It all depended if Blaine got closure.
“We can only wait and see, I’m hoping so.” Blaine said, leaning against the wall and playing with his hands nervously.
“Blaine, there isn’t an easy way to say this but don’t you think it’s time to give up looking for him.”
“No! How can you even say that? Don’t you want to know what happened to him?!” Blaine shouted, not believing what Cooper was saying. He wasn’t going to give up on his love even if Cooper did.
“Of course i want to know but i don’t think we should carry on moving around, i should have said this 100 years ago, he’s dead Blaine i think you need to accept that.”
Blaine took a swing and punched Cooper in the mouth drawing blood. Cooper did not retaliate he just simply wiped the blood away and looked at Blaine in disbelief. Cooper was really worried about Blaine, he just didn’t believe that Kurt was alive. He couldn’t be unless he was a vampire but he really doubted it.
“Blaine, you’re my brother and as a brother i have to say I’m worried about your mental health.” Cooper said calmly, trying not to upset his brother.
“Mental health? There’s nothing wrong with my mental health, just because i haven’t been with a guy in 150 years and you’ve jumped at every opportunity doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with me!” Blaine shouted, trying not to hit Cooper again or worse, attack him.
“Well I’m sorry if I get bored and that this whole thing is a waste of time!” Cooper shouted back.
“And whose fault was that, you made me turn you i didn’t want to remember!”
“Yes i remember it clearly like it was only yesterday, but if you had looked after Kurt properly none of this would have happened.”
“How dare you! I did my best looking after him, how can a human fight against two vampires? I tried and failed and the result of it stands before you. I’m sorry that i did not manage to save him, i have to live with that for eternity and I’ve been trying to avenge him ever since and you’re trying to stop me. He is the only think keeping me alive.” That was it for Blaine, he couldn’t even look at Cooper now. He barged past Cooper and stormed out of the bed and breakfast they were staying in.
“Blaine! Come back!” Cooper called after him.
Blaine was ignoring him; the thought of giving up on Kurt sickened him, his own brother betraying him. The anger began to turn into hunger so he decided to feed upon one of the rabbits on the road side; it was much safer to feed upon animals than humans. He dug into it and drained the poor thing dry but now, 150 years later, he felt less guilty about killing them because it wasn’t a human and it was safer. Especially with the entire vampire craze going on and people knowing what to look out for with Twilight, True Blood, Vampire Diaries for example. They get it mostly right. Blaine decided to take a walk along the river; the river was safe and calming to Blaine. It reminded him of the times he spent with Kurt, he loved the river, he always said it was beautiful and wondered what lie beneath it. He sat down on the grass and watched the swans swim ever so gracefully along the river. He closed his eyes and felt the breeze calm him.
“Oh Kurt, if only i knew what happened to you.” Blaine whispered, feeling the breeze on his face.
Someone placed their hand on Blaine's shoulder, the fingers were long and slender which made him think it was Kurt, so he took the hand and found it was soft. He looked up a young man, who was looking down at him. It wasn’t him but it was a man who wasn’t that bad looking.
“Come with me it’s getting cold.” He smiled as he helped Blaine up and led him in the direction of his home.
“What’s your name?” Luke asked Blaine, he found the shorter boy attractive and wanted to help him and get to know him.
“Blaine, what’s yours?”
“Luke. I live just over there.” He pointed to a small house just opposite the river. The house was small; it looked like there were only two or three rooms which would have to be a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. He pushed open the small wooden door and inside was very different to every other house Blaine had been in. It was old fashioned and had mystical creatures posted everywhere. He stood in the doorway waiting to be invited in.
“What are you standing there for silly? Come in” Luke laughed as Blaine smiled back and stepped into the house.
“You’re house is different to other houses I’ve been in.” Blaine said in wonder. “You have a thing for mystical creatures i take it.” He walked over to the shelf of books and noticed his books were all books about vampires, werewolves and witches.
“I don’t think they are mystical, i think they are real. I believe somewhere vampires roam this earth in search of blood to drink”
Blaine nervously moved away from the books to the sofa.
“You want a cup of tea Blaine?” Luke called from the kitchen.
“No thank you, I’m fine.” Blaine called back to him.
Luke came back into the living room and sat next to Blaine on the sofa. He was pretty. Blaine stroked his soft brown hair with his fingers. His hair was a bit longer than Kurt's, it was shoulder length. Blaine looked into his eyes, they were a different colour to Kurt's too, Luke's were brown. Blaine's emotions were all over the place, angry and hurt at Cooper, sad, lonely too. He leaned over and kissed Luke. They started getting passionate on the sofa when Luke looked at him.
“Do you want to move this to the bedroom?”
