Author's Notes: Dawn arrives and Blaine is nowhere to be seen, where is he? Emma reveals all to Cooper and Quinn
It was 10:30am when Cooper rose from his bed, he looked around and remembered that Blaine wasn’t there. He pushed back the duvet and stretched. The room was dark but with his vampire vision he could see his way to the window. Throwing back the curtains he could see the clear bright sky, the mornings to him were like heaven. After 150 years of not being able to see it, it was like a dream Cooper wasn’t sure whether or not to believe it was real. Cooper turned around and stood in the doorway was Quinn.
“Thats not bad you know Coop.” Quinn laughed at Coopers bare chest, for he was only wearing boxers.
“Well thank you.” Cooper said smiling before putting his black shirt on.
“Don’t you have other shirt?” Quinn asked grinning.
“Yes! Excuse me madam, i happen to wear a different shirt everyday, compelling helps a lot. I get free clothes.” Cooper grinned back.
“You shouldn’t really do that, but i guess it is a good idea.” Quinn said. “Erm oh yes i remember what i came in here for, do you want to go down to the village to see how Blaine got on with that person?”
“Yeah why not, give me a minute to finish getting ready and i’ll meet you out front.” Cooper replied.
Cooper changed his boxers into new ones and put on some jeans. He pulled the door open and ran down the corridor and down the stairs. Quinn was waiting outside where they agreed to meet. The two of them got into the car and drove down to the village. They parked just outside of the village as it was closer to the boat house.

The boat house was old and tattered, it looked about 80 years old. The door was open and there were drag marks coming from it, Cooper and Quinn looked at each other and walked towards the door. They looked inside and saw that Blaine’s coffin wasn’t there and on the ground were drag marks and blood.
“Cooper, there’s blood.” Quinn said with fear, Cooper bent down and smelt the blood.
“Its not human, so whoever this was must have had a struggle.” Cooper said looking up to Quinn. “We need to find that woman that Blaine went to see this morning see if she knows anything.”
“Erm i think her name was Emma.” Quinn remembered.
Cooper and Quinn ran into the village and tried to ask several people about Emma but no one would answer until they got to one man.
“Sir, hey sir! Do you know an old woman named Emma?” Cooper begged.
“Sure i do, she’s strange mind why?” the man answered.
“We need to know where to find her?” Quinn replied.
“She lives in that little house just over there.” the man said.
“Thank you sir.” Quinn and Cooper shouted running off.
They reached the house that the man had pointed to, it was old and falling apart. They banged hard on the door but there was no answer.
“She must be a vampire Cooper why else would she ask Blaine to visit an hour before dawn, thats why she isn’t answering now.” Quinn said desperately, just as she said it Cooper’s fangs came out. “Er Cooper...”
“Its ok i can wait, we need to talk to Emma or someone who saw what happened last night.” Cooper said.
“Yes but Cooper when was the last time you fed?”
“Erm a couple of days ago”
“What were you doing yesterday then?”
“Walking thinking about Blaine and Kurt i guess. Its fine i can wait.”
“Are you sure? For me even i need blood and after a few days without i can regret the consequences”
“Look i’ll be fine.”
Quinn gave him a doubting look. She knew he needed feeding, but he was too stubborn to admit it.
“You need blood?” Cooper asked curiously.
“I always have a raw bloody piece of meat, its not great but it works” Quinn shrugged her shoulders. “What are we going to do while Emma sleeps? We could hunt?”
“No! For one i am not letting you watch me hunt and two we need to find Blaine.” Cooper shouted, a couple of villagers gave him puzzled looks as they walked past.
“I can’t make you feed but you know you need to”
“Just drop it alright Quinn! I am not feeding until i find Blaine.”

Evening came and Cooper and Quinn were outside Emma’s house once again. Before they could knock a voice said: “Come in”
The two of them entered the house, in the centre of the room was a small chair in which Emma was sitting, she was a plump lady with grey hair which was tied back into a bun.
“Sit down, can i get you both some blood?” Emma asked smiling before they could answer she was up and getting it.
“Thank you.” they both replied, the glasses were small but it seemed enough to Cooper.
“You can’t starve yourself Cooper, Blaine wouldn’t want that” Emma said.
“How do you know my name?” Cooper asked confused.
“Lets say its a special power of mine” She winked. “i saw you coming, you too Quinn.”
“So do you know what’s happened to Blaine?” Quinn wondered.
“Yes i do, it was two vampire thugs Karofsky and Azimio after they awoke from when you knocked them unconscious, they followed you. They were planning on originally taking Quinn.” Emma said, Cooper looked worryingly at Quinn. “But they saw Blaine bring his coffin down to the boat house and thought it was the perfect opportunity to take him”
“Why didn’t you stop them then?” Cooper snapped.
“Why didn’t i? Because i didn’t know it was going to happen until it happened, i was focusing on something else at the time. “As you know Karofsky and Azimio were originally after a boy called Kurt but they can’t get hold of him so they took Blaine. Pure vampire blood is valuable but half vampire is rare as you know Quinn.”
“Sorry to be rude, how can you be a vampire?” Quinn puzzled. “How old are you?”
“I’m a lucky one child, when i was turned i was 32 that was in 1980 so i’m basically 64 now. Now i can give you some information on where Blaine is and Cooper i must ask you drink that now please.” Emma said sternly. Cooper took a sip. “Blaine is a few hours drive from here in Rotchdale in the Cornby house basement.”
