“Whenever i don’t mind but it has to be soon because…” Kurt stopped before he said something he shouldn’t. “be-because well we don’t want to be out too late and it get even colder, you’re still sick and we don’t want you getting worse. When we do go you have to wrap up well”
“I’ll be sure to bundle up. Do you want to go now?” Blaine asked, giving Kurt a squeeze. “The commercials are on anyways. Let’s go now if you want. I’m good with whenever.”
Kurt smiled at Blaine when he squeezed him. “Yeah why not lets go now, right lets go get our jackets and make sure you’re all bundled up”
“Okay.” Blaine smiled and slipped out from under Kurt, leaving him on the couch as he stood up. He turned to face his fiance and held his hand out to him to help him up. “Come on.” He said with a smile, tilting his head towards the stairs, indicating for them to go up and get their jackets.
Kurt smiled and took the hand that was held out to him he stood up and followed Blaine up the stairs still holding onto his hand. Kurt wrapped one of his scarves around Blaine’s neck and fixing his jacket making sure he was warm and he kissed his cheek before he got himself sorted. Once they were ready he held his hand out to Blaine. “Ready?”

Blaine smiled and took Kurt’s hand. “I’m always ready.” He teased, walking with Kurt out of the room and down the stairs. As they passed the couch he reached for the remote and turned off the tv before grabbing his phone and keys from the table. He locked the door behind them as they walked out of the house, still holding onto Kurt’s hand as he fumbled with the keys in his hand.
“I’ll sort that” Kurt smiled taking the keys from Blaine with his spare hand, he pretended to lock the door before giving Blaine back his keys. “Right lets go” he smiled. He took out his phone and text Taylor. “Operation Anderson is go”
“What would I ever do without you.” Blaine said with a smile as he took his keys from Kurt when they were offered. He watched as Kurt texted someone, wondering who it was as he walked with Kurt to the car. He led Kurt around to his side of the car, opening the door for him and helping him in. Once Kurt was in and situated Blaine walked over to the drivers side and got situated before turning to Kurt as he put his keys in the ignition. “Right. What kind of place do you want me to take you to?”
“Take me anywhere, where do you like to go when you come here?” Kurt asked smiling. He had a large smile on his face thinking about the surprise he had planned, he bit his lip to stop it growing as he bounced up and down in his seat excited, he stopped quickly hoping Blaine didn’t notice or ask questions.
Blaine looked up and thought for a minute. “I know.” He said with a smile, not saying where he was going to go. He started backing the car out of the driveway and drove away from the house, glancing over at Kurt to see him bouncing up and down in his seat. “You okay there?” Blaine asked with a small laugh, shaking his head a bit.

Kurt looked at Blaine and nodded quickly. “Y-yes i’m fine” he laughed nervously again. Moving his head towards the window, he looked out at Vermont, he grinned widely biting his lip again as he thought about his surprise wondering if Blaine would actually like it.
This time Blaine heard Kurt nervously laugh, wondering what was going on. He shrugged and continued driving, smiling to himself as he recognized so many of the places they drove by. Memories flooded his mind, good and bad, but mostly good. There was the place where I broke my arm. There was the place where I got hoarded by a group of girls when I performed at an open mic. Gross. He looked over at Kurt to see him staring out the window. “You don’t even want to know where I’m taking you? I could be taking you to a meat factory or something and you would never know.”
Kurt quickly turned his head and looked at Blaine. “Nope surprise me” he smiled, his phone rang and he answered it. “Hey everything okay?… Damn ermm have you tried in the fridge or the cupboards because i know i put it in there… yes i’m sure… positive… no he-no… upstairs somewhere… yes… y-nooo… not that room the other one… noooo don’t go in there… thank you… er ha er no… okay thank you… see you later”
“Okay then. Meat factory coming right up.” Blaine teased as Kurt’s phone rang. He listened to the one side of the conversation he heard, completely confused. When Kurt was done, he looked over at him and tilted his head. “Who was that? Someone back home?” Blaine asked, still confused as he pulled up to a park that no one was at in the middle of a thicket of trees.
“E-er no-i mean yes it was, just having some trouble looking for something” Kurt smiled, he was a bit nervous incase Blaine caught on what he was doing or incase he hated it. He looked around and saw lots of trees. “Where are we? Are we lost? Did you get us lost?”
“Did I get us lost in one of my favorite places ever that I am supposed to show you… yes. Yes I did.” Blaine teased, parking the car. “This is a park I used to go to all the time. Just take my guitar here and play. It was a sort of sanctuary. Taylor would come out here and talk with me, so would Jack. Other friends would too. It’s a soothing spot for me.”
“Oh right sorry, stupid question” Kurt smiled. “Its beautiful, its nice having some place like this to go to, i have the cemetery but it’d be nice to have some place like this”

Blaine grinned and got out of the car, walking around to open the door for his fiance. “Shall we?” He asked, taking his hand and leading him over to a swingset. The park has absolutely no people there because no one knew about it except for the few who found it and used it as asanctuary, like Blaine and his friends.
Kurt smiled and took the hand offered to him as he got out of the car and the two of them walked over to the swingset. Kurt looked around taking in the settings, he could see why Blaine used it as a sanctuary. He held on to Blaine’s hand tight as they walked.
Blaine smiled and helped Kurt into one of the swings, still holding his hand as he sat down in the one next to his fiancee. He didn’t try to swing, he just sat there with his fingers intertwined with Kurt’s looking around at the familiar setting around him.
Kurt stared at Blaine lovingly when he was helped onto one of the swings watching as Blaine went onto the other one, they both kept their swings still and intertwined their fingers looking around the place. “How often did you come here?”
“Every time I wanted to think or be alone I came here. Which became pretty often.” Blaine said with a shrug as he leaned his head against the swing. He was thinking about a million different things. “Sorry if I’m boring you right now. It’s not that exciting here.”
“Well you know if you ever need to vent or talk about the things that you’re thinking about, i’m here, you can talk to me” Kurt smiled at him. “No you’re not boring, you could never bore me. its nice here, its a part of your life and i’m glad you’ve shown me. Now to sort out this ‘boredom’” he stood up releasing his hand from Blaine’s. He stood behind his fiancee and kissed his cheek before beginning to push him on the swings.
“I know.” Blaine said with a smile after Kurt told him he was always there for Blaine to talk to. He watched as Kurt got up and went around behind him, beginning to push the swing. It surprised Blaine at first, and he almost fell off. It didn’t take long for him to balance himself as Kurt continued to push him, making him laugh as he moved in the swing. “I can’t remember the last time someone did this to me.”

The sound of Blaine’s laugh made Kurt happy, thats all he wanted was for Blaine to be happy. “Neither do i, how funny. Well i’d start getting used to it because i’m not stopping just yet. I’m going to help you fly and touch the sky and help you reach as high as you can, so you can forget all the bad stuff and just fly” he pushed him a bit higher.
Blaine grinned at what Kurt was saying and held on tighter when he was being pushed higher. He couldn’t stop laughing, he was having too much fun. Blaine had forgotten how much he loved swingsets. He turned his head to look back at Kurt, still laughing a bit. “I loovvvveeeeee yoouuuuuuuuu.” he said as he was continuing to be pushed.
Kurt loved how Blaine couldn’t stop laughing, it made him smile and laugh with him. He could see Blaine was having fun and he wanted that to continue so he went a bit higher, he smiled widely as Blaine looked at him and said he loved him. “I love you too”
Blaine smiled and laughed even more when Kurt said he loved him back and he almost fell off the swing. It took a moment to catch his breath again, but he was back to laughing in no time at all. “I forgot how much I love swingsets.”
Kurt watched as Blaine almost fell off the swing, worried incase he did. But he smiled again when Blaine was laughing. “You love them? I couldn’t tell” he said sarcastically. “You having fun there? No longer boring?”
“I do love them! They’re so awesome! When I was younger I would jump out of the swing while it was in motion and fly through the air for a few seconds, feeling like Superman or someone cool like that. I was a weird kid.” Blaine explained with a laugh, shaking his head. “I’m having a blaassttt. You can obviously tell.”
“Well our aim of this is to get you to have fun and to fly so if you want to fly through the air like Superman you fly like him. Who wasn’t a weird kid?” Kurt smiled still pushing him, “hmmm i’m not sure whether this is sarcasm or not, if you want me to stop i’ll stop”
“Jack isn’t a weird kid! There’s one for you.” Blaine said with a large grin plastered to his face as Kurt pushed him still. “That wasn’t sarcasm. I love this. Don’t stop unless you want to.” He didn’t want Kurt to stop, but if Kurt wanted to stop he would be okay with it.
“Well i don’t want to stop this, i love seeing you laughing and smiling and having fun. No way am i stopping until you’re flying” Kurt laughed pushed Blaine higher. “I’m glad there was no sarcasm in that and that you love it, you do seem to be enjoying it which i like. As long as you’re happy, having fun, smiling and not bored, i’m happy”
“How could I be bored with this? Or with you?” Blaine asked, wondering a little bit why Kurt was so intent on seeing him laughing and smiling, even though he was earlier. Maybe because it was he had been sick. With Kurt’s help he was going pretty high, close to the height where he used to jump off from.

“I don’t know i was just making sure because I’m not bored, I’m never bored with you” Kurt smiled at his fiance on the swings. Blaine was getting pretty high now, he couldn’t go much higher. Kurt gave him one strong push to give it that extra height. He hoped and prayed that Blaine didn’t fall off.
Blaine prepared himself to jump when Kurt gave him a strong push. He let the swing go backwards before reaching the perfect height and jumping out of the seat. He was suspended in the air for a few seconds, laughing as he landed perfectly on his feet. He was a master at this. Blaine turned to fact Kurt with a proud smile on his face. “I didn’t even fall!”
Kurt laughed and clapped when Blaine jumped off landing perfectly on his feet. “That was… awesome” he said with a laugh walking to his fiance’s side. “There is no way that i could do that, I’m too scared of falling off”
“Why thank you. I used to do this all the time, remember? I used to have competitions with the other kids….. Surprisingly I wouldn’t always win.” Blaine teased as Kurt walked up to his side. He slipped an arm around Kurt’s waist and leaned his head against him. “What do you want to do now?”
Kurt pretended to be shocked. “You wouldn’t always win? Oh my god, something Blaine Anderson can’t win at besides baseball” he laughed as Blaine’s arm slipped around his waist and leaned his head against him. “Hey you’re not supposed to be asking me, you’re showing me around you take me wherever you want to go” he smiled putting his own arm around Blaine.
“Well do you want to go somewhere else? Stay here for a little bit longer? I’m up for anything.” Blaine smiled as Kurt wrapped an arm around him. He wasn’t sure what more he could show Kurt…. it was a tiny town. He could give him a tour where they didn’t get out very much…. that might work. A breeze came through and he shivered a little bit, his free hand zipping up his jacket zipper and trying to fix his scarf.
“Well i’m up for anything too, we could go for a walk round here talk for a bit then go somewhere else?” Kurt suggested, he felt Blaine shiver and looked at him, he released his arm for a second then turned to Blaine fixing his scarf and doing up his jacket as far as it could go. “Is that better?” he asked slipping his arm back around Blaine.
“Much.” Blaine said after Kurt fixed his jacket and scarf for him. He leaned more into Kurt as he felt an arm go around him, remembering he hadn’t answered Kurt’s proposition of what they could do. “That sounds good to me.” He grinned, starting to walk while he was still wrapped up with Kurt.

Kurt smiled as Blaine leaned more into him, he secured his arm a bit tighter around Blaine. He smiled when Blaine said his suggestion sounded good. They began walking arms around each other. “We’re all wrapped up in each other again” he said with a laugh. “You’re right we can’t keep our hands of each other” he smiled lovingly at Blaine.
“It’s impossible….” Blaine replied with a grin when Kurt laughed. Blaine was the one leading them as they walked because Kurt didn’t know where he was going. He was walking them over to where the park ended and trees began again, looking around for something from his childhood days in Vermont.
Kurt smiled when Blaine said it was impossible, he agreed. He looked around while they walked and notice the park end and the trees begin again, Kurt had no idea where they were going so he relied on Blaine to make sure they weren’t lost.
Blaine didn’t see it at first. Is it over here? Nope. there? Again... Nope. How hard could this be? He kept on walking; still holding on to Kurt, when he finally found what he had been looking for. He tilted his head up to look at it with a proud smile on his face. “Kurt. Look. A tree house.”
Kurt looked at where Blaine was looking at, he saw the proud smile on Blaine’s face and the tree house that he was smiling at. “Wow, did you.. did you make that?” he asked his arm still around Blaine.
“Sort of….. I had help.” Blaine said with a laugh. He unwrapped himself from Kurt and pulled down the ladder, which was surprisingly still in good condition. He started to climb up it until he was at the appropriate height to stop and help Kurt up into it. “You didn’t think we were just going to stand there and look at it did you?”
Kurt looked around when Blaine pulled down the ladder and climbed onto it, he watched Blaine stopped and turn to him. “Er we’re going to go up there? Is it safe?” he asked thinking about the amount of accidents he had had around Blaine. Once he had Blaine’s word that it was safe he climbed on with Blaine’s help and began climbing.
Blaine gasped and mocked that he was offended. “Of course it’s safe! I built it myself! Well, not entirely true. People helped me out.” Blaine grinned as he helped Kurt up into the tree house, climbing in behind him once he was up. He looked around at the carvings in the wood, smiling as he read some of them. Ah, memories.
“Sorry i just had to ask, i seem to be having a lot of accidents lately. Its really good, who helped you?” Kurt asked has he got into the treehouse. Kurt looked at the carvings. “Have you seen this one? Blaineb29;Taylor? I’m assuming you didn’t write this one” he asked looking at Blaine and pointing to where he was looking.
Blaine laughed when Kurt read off the one Taylor had carved. “Yeah….. I didn’t do that one. Taylor would bring friends up here too and draw stuff, so I can’t really say what she can or can’t write.” He ran his hands along the wall, reaching one that he found that might make Kurt laugh. “Hey Kurt, come look at this one.” Blaine motioned to Kurt to come over, still reading the one he had found “Taylor needs prince charming,” it said in girly handwriting before having his own handwriting under it. “Not if Blaine gets to him first :P”

Kurt came over to Blaine and looked at what he was being shown. He laughed at what was written. “Aww bless Taylor, but Blaine didn’t get to Prince Charming first, Kurt did. He found his Prince Charming” he smiled at Blaine hugging one of Blaine’s arms. “Do you think we should write something? So in the future when we come back here we can see this and remember the first time we ever came here, its just a suggestion we don’t have to”
“Are you saying you’re not prince charming?” Blaine teased, leaning his head against Kurt’s as he hugged his arm. “Of course I want to write something with you. What do you want to write?”
“I’m saying you are” Kurt smiled as Blaine leaned his head against Kurt’s. “We can write anything about us, the date we got together, the date you proposed, the day we finally gave ourselves to each other, our names, just anything. Whatever we write will be memorable even though i know i’ll remember those dates anyway. Or we can write something simple”
“I’m not prince charming.” Blaine said, still looking at the stuff on the wall. There were so many things he recognized….. he nodded as he listened to all of Kurt’s suggestions. “We should do them all in different places in here. No one will know what the dates will mean, it would be awesome.”
“You’re my Prince Charming, you’re way more of a Prince Charming than i am and even if you don’t believe it, it doesn’t matter because i believe that you are” Kurt smiled, he looked at some of the stuff on the wall and then at Blaine when he spoke. “I agree it will be awesome, it’ll be something only us will know. Kinda like you now, you know what most of these mean and i don’t. Memories”
“There’s no way I’m Prince Charming. Maybe Prince Eric. Or Aladdin. Not Prince Charming though.” Blaine teased, wanting to wrap his arm around Kurt, but it was currently being hugged. He leaned his head more against Kurt’s and listened to him speak, still reading some stuff on the wall. “If you have a question about one, just ask. I know what almost all of them mean and love explaining things. Like Harry Potter.” Blaine said with a laugh, thinking about how he had to explain some parts of Harry Potter to his fiance.
“Fine you’re Prince Eric and he’s still Prince Charming in a way” Kurt said about to release Blaine’s arm when Blaine’s head rested more onto his. “Now that wouldn’t be fair if I asked, because they’re private stuff aren’t they?” Kurt said, he was curious to a few of them but it wasn’t fair in case he stumbled across a private one. He imagined if someone came across the date he and Blaine did it for the first them Blaine wouldn’t spill what it meant. Would he?
“It would be perfectly fair; I don’t have anything to hide from you.” Blaine said simply, taking his head off of Kurt’s to look at him. He was getting a little bit cold, and he hoped Kurt was not getting cold too. “Are you warm enough in here?” Blaine asked, shrugging his arm out of Kurt’s grip and wrapped both of them around his fiance, trying to make him warmer.
“Well i’m glad you don’t” Kurt looked at him, it wasn’t particularly warm in the tree house and he had given his better scarf to Blaine. “Not exactly, its a bit cold” he said as Blaine’s arms wrapped around him, he wrapped his own around Blaine.
“Well I’ve got you. Don’t worry.” Blaine said with a smile, giving Kurt a tight squeeze. “Do you want to go back to the car? I don’t know about you, but I’m getting pretty cold….” He asked, letting Kurt know that he was also cold.
Kurt was a bit concerned when Blaine said he was pretty cold, he was wrapped up more than what Kurt was. “Yeah lets go back, we can’t have you getting any colder and more ill. We’ll come back later and do our writings if you still want to do them” he smiled he released his arms and took Blaine’s hand.
“I don’t think I’ll get more ill, I am just a little bit cold…” Blaine said with a shrug, intertwining his fingers with Kurt’s. He led the two of them back to the ladder and let go of Kurt’s hand so he could climb down. One he was at the right height, he held his hand up to Kurt, offering to help him down.
