Kurt held Blaine close as he resumed in the song he was singing before Lily came in, he didn’t get far into it before the door opened again. Two people walked in, Kurt knew one of them as Mrs Anderson and assumed that the other person was Blaine’s dad. He knew it was him instantly after he caught Mr Anderson glaring at him and then to his son with a disgusted look. Kurt’s ring was not in sight so he was grateful for that, he wasn’t sure if he even knew.
“Hi Mrs Anderson” he smiled at her before turning to Blaine’s dad. “Hello Mr Anderson, I’m Kurt Hummel” he tried to sound confident as he held out his right hand for him to shake, but he just stood glaring at him so he put his hand back on Blaine.

The boy in Blaine’s dream was one of the most adorable kids he had ever seen or talked to, besides maybe Jack. He went on and on about how much he really liked Harry Potter, giving them something to talk about. When Blaine was done the boy asked him to carry him because his leg still hurt. Blaine agreed with a smile and picked him up, giving him a piggy back ride. He saw a chin come and rest on his shoulder, a small afro of dark curls right next to his face. “I never caught your name.” Blaine said with a small laugh. The boy turned his chin to look at Blaine seriously, those eyes looking oddly familiar….
“Andrew.”

“Now Sean, Kurt’s only trying to be polite you can at least try and do the same” Mrs Anderson looked at him. Mr Anderson sighed and held out his hand for Kurt to shake, Kurt shook it even though his hands were shaking. This man is very intimidating, Kurt thought to himself. He tried his best to smile. Mrs Anderson pulled the chair from the corner and sat beside Blaine, she would have taken one of hands if he wasn’t snuggled up to Kurt. “Do they know what’s wrong with him yet?” she asked looking at Kurt, who shook his head.
“No they don’t, they’ve run some tests. They’ve taken his temperature and it’s risen just slightly from 101.6”

Blaine stopped walking when he heard Andrew mention his name. He shifted the boy on his back so that he was in a reverse piggy back, allowing Blaine to look at him. Same hair, same eyes, even his eyebrows had avaguelytriangular shape to them. Oh wow, Kurt was right, he does look just like me.Blaine thought, smiling at Andrew. The boy smiled back and gave Blaine a long hug, making Blaine smile both inside and out of the dream. Andrew pulled away to say something. “You wanna come play Lego Harry Potter with me? I have all the pieces; I’ll let you be Harry if you want.” Blaine’s smile grew to a grin as he set Andrew down, holding his hand, and asking him to lead the way.

“Oh my poor baby” Mrs Anderson cried as she pulled Blaine’s hands from Kurt. Kurt could only watch as she did so. He could see Taylor at the door and he smiled weakly at her. Kurt looked down at Blaine who was grinning, it relieved him.
“So what happened? I mean how did he get like this?”
“He was fine one minute then the next he was burning up, i didn’t know what was wrong. I got him medicine but that did nothing for him”
“Are you sure you game him the right stuff?”
“Of course i’m sure”
“Sorry Kurt i’m just worried”
“Its fine” he looked up at Mr Anderson who was looking at the floor.

Blaine’s dreams had ended and he was now just sleeping peacefully. After a few minutes he felt another sharp pain in his head, and he sat up and tried to rub his eyes with his hands as he woke himself up. He felt someone holding them and assumed it was Kurt, but he felt that they weren’t and rubbed his eyes in the crook of his elbow so he could see who was there. Taylor maybe? Once he opened his eyes he shut them really quickly, forgetting how whitethe room was. Blaine opened his eyes again, looking down at the hands holding his. His eyes travelled up the arms and saw his mother, and he smiled at her. “Hi Mom. When did you get here?” Blaine said, letting himself lean back down onto the bed.
“Oh Blaine, i was so worried, i thought that you were in a coma or in some kind of unconscious form” Mrs Anderson stood up and hugged him tight accidentally knocking Kurt off the bed. He stood against the wall and watched Blaine and his mom with the occasional glare from Mr Anderson. “We’ve been here for about how long has it been honey?” she asked looking at Mr Anderson who shrugged his shoulders. “I’d say about ten minutes”
Blaine looked over to the person his mom was calling honey, seeing his dad sitting and looking up at him. “Hi dad.” He said simply, looking around the room for Kurt. He spotted him leaning against a wall, and he grinned at him. Blaine looked back at his dad to see him looking from Blaine to Kurt. “You’ve met Kurt, I suspect?” He said to his dad, trying to read his expression.
“I had the… yeah i met him” He was going to he had the pleasure of meeting him but that’d be completely untrue. Kurt smiled at Blaine. “So Blaine” his dad started. “What’s wrong with you?” he said looking over at Blaine; with a slight caring look which surprised Kurt.
“I’m not quite sure…” Blaine said, looking down to the IV in his arm. “I just have headaches that feel like someone is trying to rip my brain out, and one minute I’m sweating and the next second I’m shivering. It sucks.” Blaine leaned his head against the pillow and closed his eyes, another pain going through his head.

Mrs Anderson burst into tears and hugged Blaine again. When she let go she watched as Blaine leaned his head back against the pillow and closed his eyes. Kurt knew what it meant but Blaine’s parents didn’t.
Blaine patted his mother’s back soothingly as he hugged her back. “Shhh, it’s okay.” He said over and over again, but her tears didn’t stop. He wanted Kurt to come sit back down on the bed with him, but knew he probably wouldn’t because of his dad. Mr. Anderson walked up to where his wife was and gently pulled her off of Blaine and sheimmediatelygot out of her chair and ran to hug Kurt. Blaine’s dad to the chair where his mom once sat, looking like he needed to say something. Blaine took a deep breath and strained his ears to hear what his dad was saying. He was speaking quietly enough so that Kurt and Mrs. Anderson couldn’t hear.
Kurt did not expect Mrs Anderson to run to him and hug him, her hugs were always so tight, this one especially. “Thank you Kurt for looking after him, it means a lot it really does” Kurt smiled at her.
“As i said to Blaine i wouldn’t want to be anywhere else, don’t thank me its all part of the job”
“He could be dead if you weren’t looking after him”
“I think that’s a bit over the top but yes he could be a lot worse” Kurt saw past Mrs Anderson where Blaine and his dad were talking, he was curious as to what about but he wasn’t going to ask.

Blaine tried to respond to his dad when he spoke, but his head being in so much pain at the moment made it hard. “Yeah dad….. everything.” He looked down at his hands as his dad kept on talking. “No Dad. You can’t. No…” Blaine tried to protest, but his dad disregarded it. “…. I did say everything. But that doesn’t mean that I want you alone with him…..” Blaine looked his dad in the eye as he spoke. “… alright. But if you pull anything….” His dad put a hand on his knee and gave him a small smile.
“You said everything. And that’s all I needed to hear.” Mr. Anderson stood up, and Blaine was still protesting with himself. He walked over to Kurt and pulled his wife off of the second person tonight. “Kurt? Could I talk to you?” Blaine craned his neck to see what as going on, hating himself for agreeing to let his dad talk to Kurt alone.
Kurt didn’t know what to say or how to react, Blaine had only said not long before that he didn’t want them talking alone and now he was going to. He looked at Blaine who was craning his neck trying to see what was going on. Once Kurt could talk again he looked at Mr Anderson and nodded. “Yeah s-sure of-of course” Kurt was nervous, a bit panicky even more so when he was asked if they could go outside so it can be more private.
Blaine watched as Kurt and his dad walked out of the room, and he honestly didn’t know what to do. If he didn’t let his dad talk to Kurt now, he would talk to him later and without Blaine knowing about it, which worried him. His mom hugged him again, which he really needed as he worried about what was going on outside the door.

Mr. Anderson led Kurt outside and sat him down on the empty bench outside. Taylor had gone to the food court or something and wasn’t in sight. He looked down at Kurt, seeing how nervous he was. “So…. are you two engaged?” Mr. Anderson asked, seeing the ring on Kurt’s finger and got his answer.
Kurt looked from the floor to Mr Anderson when he asked the question; he began to twist the ring on his finger. “Yes sir w-we are”
Mr. Anderson watched as Kurt twisted the ring around his finger. What Blaine had said about Kurt, that he meant everything to him, had a weird affect on Mr. Anderson. He nodded when Kurt said they were engaged, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck. He wasn’t sure what the correct reaction should be, he was so conflicted. “Okay…” was all he was able to say.
Kurt didn’t really know what to say or how to respond to the simple “Okay”. “I just want you to know sir that i’d never hurt your son, i love him too much to let anything happen to him”
Mr. Anderson looked down at Kurt when he spoke, a little in shock. “I… I know. At least, I think I know. Did you know you mean everything to him? Said so himself. And I don’t think you’d hurt him… you’re here after all.” He said the whole thing slowly, except for the part about Blaine saying Kurt meant everything to him. “…..when do you guys want it to happen? The wedding, I mean.”
“I did know and he means everything to me too and i mean everything. As i said to Blaine i’m here and i’m not going anywhere, i’m his forever” Kurt smiled at the thought. “Well obviously once we’re eighteen, we’d like it as soon as possible after that” He was curious as to Mr Anderson’s question.
Mr. Anderson nodded slowly, deep in thought. What Blaine had said to him, what Kurt had said to him…. he was deeply conflicted. Usually, he would’ve refused to let anything happen, or at least not pay for it. But Blaine was his son…. and he was desperately trying to make things even a tiny better with him so he didn’t lose him once he moved out. “Right. Okay. Yeah. Well…. Ifyouguyswantanyhelpwithpayingforit, just let me know.” He said quickly, hoping Kurt caught at least some of that.

Kurt stood there in complete shock, did he hear right? Was he offering to help pay? “Wow thank you sir, i’ll have to talk to Blaine about it and then we’ll let you know. Thank you again” Kurt didn’t know what to say, maybe he was a good guy or fairly good.
Mr. Anderson just nodded before patting Kurt on the back. “Right… we should probably get back in there before Blaine’s mother hugs him to death.” Mr. Anderson said as he walked back towards the room with Kurt, opening the door and holding it open behind him as Kurt walked through. He shut the door so pesky; annoying nurses couldn’t just poke their heads into Blaine’s room. Blaine was still being hugged by his mother, but he had reached the remote and was resuming watching Harry Potter over his mother’s shoulder.
Kurt thanked Mr Anderson when he held the door open to him and he walked inside. He saw Blaine still being hugged by his mom while trying to watch Harry Potter; he walked over to the wall. He was still in shock and it showed on his face. Mr Anderson went over to his wife and pulled her off his son. “Meredith sit down, let the boy breathe” there was the smallest smile on his face when he looked at Blaine.
Blaine watched as Kurt leaned against the wall, looking shocked. That could either be something really good or really bad…. He looked up at his father and let out a sarcastic, long breath, making it seem like he really couldn’t breathe. Once his mother was off of him, Blaine laid back down into the bed, getting himself comfortable and looking over at Kurt. He still saw shock, and when he got Kurt’s attention he raised his eyebrows at him and patted the space on the bed next to him, barely moving his hand so his dad wouldn’t see.
Kurt saw Blaine trying to get his attention and looked at him, he watched as Blaine’s hand hardly moved as he patted the bed. He pushed himself off the wall and walked over to the bed and sat down beside Blaine taking a hand in his and gave him a small loving smile.
Blaine smiled back when Kurt sat down on the bed and took his hand. Lily walked in at that moment, holding a clip board. “The tests have come back, and we think we have a pretty good idea of what’s wrong with Blaine here. He has a pretty serious fever and a viral infection. We think we should keep him here for a little bit longer, if that’s okay with you.” Blaine leaned his head against the pillow and closed his eyes. “Great, hospital food…” He mumbled only loud enough for Kurt to hear.

Kurt squeezed Blaine’s hand when his test results came through, to show support. He watched as Blaine’s head leaned against the pillow and mumbled to himself. Kurt leaned down and kissed his forehead whispering to him before he pulled away. “I’ll fix it, bring you some proper food” he smiled sitting back up. He felt Blaine’s head lift and rest on his leg, like before his other hand began stroking his hair.
Blaine resisted the urge to laugh when Kurt said he’d bring him some proper food after kissing his forehead. He positioned himself so that his head was resting on Kurt’s leg, something that hadn’t happened since the ambulance. Harry Potter was still going on, and Blaine couldn’t even to begin to concentrate on what Lily was saying. His head hurt to much. Blaine let Kurt and his parents listen to Lily, watching as the kids discovered their boggarts.
When Lily finished talking she left the room prompting Mrs Anderson’s cries to start up again. Kurt looked at her. “Mrs Anderson, that means he’s going to be okay, its better than we thought” her tears changed from sad to happy and she tried to grab hold of Blaine’s other hand, which he couldn’t move fast enough. “Come on Meredith, i think we should go back to the house for a bit. You coming Kurt?” Kurt looked at Mr Anderson. “No i’m going to stay here”
Blaine watched the way his mom’s tears went from sad to happy in a flash, thanks to Kurt. Blaine stared up at Kurt, completely smitten, when he said he was going to stay, grinning like an idiot. He lifted his head so he could say bye to his parents whenever they left, and as soon as he did his mom ran towards the bed and pulled him into a hug. “Mom, I’m gonna be fine…” Blaine said with a laugh, looking over towards Kurt.
Kurt had expected Blaine to get another hug from his mother so this time he kept holding of the bed with his foot so he wouldn’t be pushed off. He saw Blaine look at him and he smiled. When Mrs Anderson pulled away she looked at Kurt hoping to be reassured. “Yeah he’s going to be fine, i’m here nothings going to happen” he squeezed Blaine’s hand ever so gently.

Blaine grinned and squeezed Kurt’s hand back, not taking care to be extremely gentle like Kurt did. Mr. Anderson walked up and gave his son a pat on the back, and Blaine nodded up at him. Mr. Anderson nodded to Kurt and directed his wife out towards the door. “Call us if you need anything, we’re always close.” Mr. Anderson said as he closed the door behind him. Blaine lay back completely against Kurt as soon as the door shut. “I really thought they would never leave.”
Kurt nodded when Mr Anderson said to call if they needed anything before breathing a sigh of relief with Blaine when they left. “Well i knew your dad would eventually but your mum i thought she was going to knock me off again and just not let go of you”
“And Idefinitely don’t want that. Thanks for staying.” Blaine said with a smile, reaching over to get the apple juice carton and take a giant sip from it. He looked around the room and saw Kurt’s bag, noticing it was kind of full. “What all did you pack in there?” Blaine said, reaching across Kurt to pull the bag up to his lap. He opened it and began rummaging around in it, breaking out into a grin. “I see you only packed my clothes… you planning on wearing them?”
“Yeah i was in a rush and i thought you're in here and you’d need the more, but if it came to it then yes i would wear your clothes, if you were okay with it” Kurt said as he watched Blaine rummage through the bag. “I brought as much stuff as i thought i’d might need, i think i brought too much, sorry”
“Yeah I’m okay with it. Why wouldn’t I be? It’s not like you don’t love wearing my shirts.” Blaine said with a laugh, pulling out one of his plain white v-necks and rubbing it in Kurt’s face. Blaine kept on going through Kurt’s bag, but stopping when another pain shot through his head. He leaned his head back onto Kurt, closing his eyes as he did. “I hate these stupid headaches.”
Kurt laughed when Blaine rubbed his shirt in his face. “Yes i do love your shirts but not that much, i don’t want to eat them” He watched as another pain shot through Blaine’s head. He felt his head rest back against him as he gently squeezed his hand. “I know baby i know” Kurt realised that the medicine he took would wear off soon. “At least i can say i understand your pain” he gently kissed Blaine’s head.
Blaine smiled weakly when Kurt said he understood his pain. He repositioned Kurt and himself so that Blaine could now lean his head and body against Kurt’s chest and wrap his arms around Kurt. “You could probably have Lily look at your head.” Blaine said quietly, snuggling close to Kurt as he did.
Kurt watched and helped Blaine when he repositioned himself so that Blaine’s head and body were leaning against his chest. When Blaine wrapped his arms around him, Kurt wrapped his around Blaine hugging him tight. He looked down at Blaine when he suggested going to see Lily. “Oh no its fine and besides i don’t want to leave you”
Blaine sighed happily when Kurt wrapped his arms around him. He loved that even though he was sick and in the hospital, Kurt was still up for snuggling. “I don’t want you to leave either. You’re going to stay forever and me my super comfy pillow.” Blaine said with a small laugh. “That is, until we get out of the hospital. Then I want to be the pillow for a bit.”
“I’m going to stay here as long as you want me to be and be your super comfy pillow” Kurt chuckled giving Blaine a gentle squeeze. “Until you get out and then if i’m feeling generous i’ll let you be the pillow”
“Sounds good to me.” Blaine said with a laugh, taking Kurt’s hand and spinning the ring around his finger. His other hand began to draw on Kurt’s chest through his shirt, hoping it didn’t tickle him to much. “Although I still want to be the pillow. I’m just so pillow like, remember?”

Kurt smiled as Blaine spun the ring on his finger; he smiled wider when Blaine began drawing on his chest. “You are most pillow like, if you really want to be the pillow then you can” Kurt suddenly remembered something. “I’m surprised you haven’t asked me how my talk with your dad went”
“I’m…. I’m not sure if I want to know.” Blaine said, leaning his head more into Kurt’s chest. He signed, a small part of him was really curious. “What did you guys talk about? Was it okay? He wasn’t a jerk, was he?” Blaine questioned, turning his head to look up at Kurt.
“I think you might want to know this” Kurt felt Blaine’s head nestle more into his chest. “We talked about us, it was… shocking, er no he wasn’t a jerk actually” He looked down at Blaine trying to conceal a small smile.
“Really? Well what happened? I’m intrigued now.” Blaine said, sitting up a little bit and looking into Kurt’s eyes. A small part of him did not believe that the conversation could be good. He gave Kurt’s hand a squeeze, telling him to go on
Kurt felt the squeeze on his hand and looked into Blaine’s eyes before beginning to talk “Well when we got out there he asked me if we were engaged, he saw the ring on my finger and there was nothing else i could say and i didn’t want to lie. I told him we were and he didn’t really know what to say or how to answer at first, I told him how much i love you and that i’d never hurt or let anything happen to you. He told me what you said about me and he believed what i said about you before asking when we were getting married. I told him once we’re eighteen, as soon as possible but we haven’t set a date yet, which we haven’t. And then….” he paused for dramatic effect.
