Kurt fell even more in love with Blaine and the song than before. The words sung and Blaine’s singing meant a lot to him. Kurt joined in again “And you’ll be in my heart, yes, you’ll be in my heart. From this day on, now and forever more.Don’t listen to them.‘Cause what do they know, we need each other,to have, to hold.” He gave Blaine a squeeze. “They’ll see in time, I know.” His eyes never left Blaine’s.
”When destiny calls you, you must be strong. I may not be with you, but you’ve got to hold on.” Blaine was still holding Kurt and holding his hand. “They’ll see in time, I know.” He leaned forward and kissed Kurt’s nose, watching with a smile as it scrunched up. This song all of a sudden had a new meaning for him. “We’ll show them together, cause..” Blaine paused, waiting for Kurt to join in on the last choruses with him.
Kurt’s nose always scrunched up when Blaine kissed it, it was just something natural. Kurt didn’t need Blaine to pause for him, he was going go sing anyway. “‘Cause you’ll be in my heart, yes, you’ll be in my heart. From this day on,now and forever more. Oh, you’ll be in my heart, no matter what they say. You’ll be in my heart, always. Always.” Kurt put emphasis on the last word, he squeezed Blaine’s hand and smiled into his eyes.
Blaine’s eyes couldn’t show more love for Kurt if they tried, and he squeezed Kurt’s hand back. That song was forever changed for him. “Kurt… that song….” Blaine began, laughing as he spoke. Their gaze was never broken. “… I love you so much, you know that right?” Blaine asked, pushing a stray curl of hair out of his eyes as he waited for Kurt to respond.
Blaine’s eyes were pouring with love, as were Kurt’s. He laughed when Blaine couldn’t finish what he was saying about the song. Kurt’s hand went back up to Blaine’s face gently stroking it again. “I know otherwise we wouldn’t be here would we?” he smiled not breaking their gaze. “And you know how much i love you?”
”I think I do, or I wouldn’t see you with this on.” Blaine lifted up their hands and showed Kurt the ring. Blaine leaned his forehead more against Kurt’s, still trying to fight the urge to kiss him passionately right there. His hand on Blaine’s face wasn’t really helping Blaine win this fight. He bit his lip and looked deep into Kurt’s eyes, which were showing about as much love as his were. Blaine grinned at Kurt and gave his hand a squeeze, his thumb stroking the top of it.
“Thats right now don’t you forget it.” Kurt grinned, he looked at Blaine’s face and could see that he wanted to kiss him, the biting of his lip, the look in his eyes, the expression on his face so he decided to give Blaine what he wanted, he leaned up and kissed him. “Better?” he asked before kissing him again. He felt Blaine squeeze his hand and stroke it with his thumb making him smile against Blaine’s lips.
Kurt must be able to read minds, Blaine thought to himself when Kurt kissed him.”Much, much better.” He responded, beginning to laugh, but his laugh was stopped short by another pair of lips touching his. It took him a second or two to raise his hand up to Kurt’s cheek and began to move his lips perfectly with Kurt’s, kissing him back with a little bit more passion than being given. Blaine remembered about this morning and toned down his kissed a little, hand sneaking up into Kurt’s hair.
Kurt felt Blaine’s kisses drop from passionate to how they were before and a hand sneak into his hair. Kurt pulled away for a second. “I haven’t got a problem with kissing, if i tell you or begin to stop, you must okay?” he asked giving him a soft kiss then pulled away to let him answer.
Blaine looked down at his hands when Kurt pulled away, expecting to be told he went to far again. When he was told something else, he looked up at Kurt for a second before he was kissed again shortly. And put back on the spot. “Okay.” He looked back down at his hands intertwined with Kurt’s, his other hand still on Kurt’s face.
Kurt’s hand on Blaine’s face slid round so it was on his neck pulling him down for a kiss. He could see how badly Blaine wanted it and how eager he was for a passionate one. Kurt wanted to start it off slowly then get there but just passionate kissing, no tongues, no bare body touching just a nice bit of kissing.
Blaine was still looking at his hands, thinking about how he needed to stop going so far because that wasn’t what Kurt wanted. If Kurt wanted it, he would’ve start…. Blaine’s thoughts and his beating up on himself was cut off by Kurt pulling him down to him for a completely surprising passionate kiss. Blaine didn’t fully understand what was going on at first, but after three or four seconds it came to him that Kurt did want more than soft kissing… and Blaine kissed back with the same amount of passion being delivered, not even pushing for more, and his hand went up into Kurt’s hair completely.
Kurt felt Blaine’s hand go completely into his hair, its lucky i love him, he thought to himself, otherwise i’d kill him for messing up my hair this early in the day. He was relieved when Blaine kissed back with the same amount of passion, as much as he’d like to go further it was too soon, a bit much for now and the thought of it scared him. What happened last night was different. Once he was sure that Blaine was in for the kiss he slid his hand down Blaine’s neck resting it on his chest.
Blaine felt Kurt’s hand slide down to his chest, which Kurt knew very well was his weak spot. It was becoming hard for Blaine not to move his hand onto Kurt’s body and he just gave Kurt’s hand a squeeze in hopes that would help. It didn’t. Blaine used all of his willpower not to increase the intensity of his kisses, knowing that going any further would be initiated or approved by Kurt first. He kept his level of passion alternating with the same of Kurt’s to a little bit less as they kissed.
Kurt felt Blaine give his hand a squeeze and felt his kisses alternate. He guessed it was hard for him so Kurt pulled out of the kiss, that was enough. He thought that Blaine needed to control himself. Kurt nestled into Blaine’s chest again and closed his eyes.
Blaine felt Kurt pull away and watched as he laid on his chest and shut his eyes. Blaine couldn’t be more confused. What was going to far and what wasn’t now? He became worried that all Kurt would want is to pull Blaine in for a hug or something. Did Blaine scare him off? Great… maybe Kurt felt pressured last night and now doesn’t want to do anything at all. Blaine sighed and looked around him, watching as a rabbit hopped near their hammock.
Kurt just listened to the sounds around him, he mainly was listening to Blaine breathing then sighing. Kurt didn’t really know what to do or say, he didn’t have the heart to tell Blaine that part of what happened last night was pressured, yes he enjoyed it and he said he was ready but what happened was a lot bigger than what he was expecting. Kurt was happy to kiss Blaine but he needed him to keep himself in control, he loved Blaine so much and he wanted things to run smoothly.
Blaine couldn’t really tell what was going on. He was just so helplessly confused. He almost made a promise to himself that he wouldn’t start anything, wouldn’t start a kiss or a hug or a cuddle with Kurt and if he wanted something he would just have to wait until Kurt wanted the same thing too. Kurt was his main priority in life, and he would never be able to forgive himself if he pressured Kurt in any way. He nudged Kurt’s arm, hoping to open his eyes. “Do you want to go back inside?”
Kurt was too focused on listening to the sounds he didn’t hear Blaine at first, when he repeated himself Kurt shrugged his shoulders, eyes still closed. “I don’t mind, if you want to then we can.”
”Come on, let’s go inside. You can lay down there while we watch a movie.” Blaine said as his foot stopped the hammock from swinging and he slowly got out, putting the part of Kurt that was laying on him back onto the hammock. He walked away from it a little ways to lean against a tree and wait for Kurt to get up, if he even wanted to.
Kurt watched how Blaine got off it and tried it himself but ended up getting twisted up in the hammock then falling to the floor.
Blaine had his eyes closed and didn’t see as Kurt fell off the hammock, but he heard a loud thud. His eyes shot open and filled with horror as he saw Kurt on the ground under the hammock. Blaine rushed to his side, putting a hand on his shoulder. “You okay?”
Kurt had his eyes closed and was holding his head. “Owwww that hurt, really hurt.” He opened his eyes to see Blaine looking at him worried. “Hi there beautiful.” he laughed hysterically. He was concussed.
Blaine Anderson, you are the stupidest person ever to walk the face of the earth. Because of you, Kurt hit his head and might have a concussion. Burt is going to kill you, not to mention Kurt will want to kill you when he gets better…You’ve ruined it all now, nice going. “No, you’re not okay, and it’s all my fault.” Blaine said, picking Kurt up in his arms. He stood up and began to walk back to the house, beating himself up in his head.
Kurt was still holding his head when Blaine picked him up. He didn’t dare remove it in case there was blood and if there was blood there could be stains… on Blaine’s shirt. And it’ll get on his hands and that’s gross. There was a ringing in Kurt’s ears that wouldn’t go away so he put his hands to his ears to try and stop it.
Blaine watched as Kurt put his hands to his ears and he was about ready to start bawling. Kurt was hurt, Kurt was in pain, all because of him. He got to the door and kicked it open quickly, rushing Kurt inside. He laid Kurt down in the couch, his eyes becoming watery. “Better at all?”
“There’s a ringing in my ears that won’t go away.” He said, “my head is thumping, wait is it bleeding?” he asked when Blaine laid him down on the couch.
Tears began to flow down Blaine’s face when Kurt spoke, but he didn’t think Kurt would even notice in the state he was in. Oh god Blaine. Look what you’ve done now. Blaine lifted Kurt’s head, thankful to see no blood. Blaine didn’t know what to do, and he paced the room, tears. still silently falling.
Kurt was trying to stop the pain from his head and contain his own tears to notice Blaine. He tilted his head back onto a pillow and his head screamed in agony forcing the tears out. Kurt’s hands were on the place that hurt and his eyes were shut tightly trying to block out the pain.
Blaine starting bawling when Kurt screamed out in pain. Take a look, Blaine. Look what you have done! He’s going to hate you. It’s all your fault he’s in so much pain. He ran to Kurt’s side when he screamed, sobs increasing. “Kurt, I’m so sorry….. so sorry…. you… are you okay?”
Kurt gripped Blaine’s hand tight. He saw Blaine was crying which made him cry even more. “Make the pain stop please?”
Blaine couldn’t stop crying. Kurt had asked him for help, and he didn’t know what to do. He gripped onto Kurt's hand tightly, which didn’t stop the tears. Blaine stood up and gave Kurt’s head a kiss so light that he hoped it wouldn’t hurt him. He ran into the kitchen and got an icepack, giving it to Kurt before kneeling by his side again, tears still flowing.
When the icepack was put to his head he screamed in pain, after that he just cried. He took Blaine’s hand and resumed holding it, squeezing it when the pain got bad. “I…love…you.” he said through the tears.
Blaine was a complete mess. He had to sit and watch Kurt be in pain, knowing there was nothing he could do. It killed him inside. When Kurt squeezed his hand and told him he loved him, Blaine was thrown overboard. “I love you so much….I’m so sorry!” Blaine said over and over, his heart breaking.
“Its not… your fault, it… was an accident.” Kurt wiped the tears from his eyes. “Clumsy me.” he saw Blaine still crying, he put his hand against his face wiping the tears away. “Don’t cry.” he did his best to smile and gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.
“It…. was….. my…… fault…..” Blaine said, still crying. “I should have helped you out…. But i didn’t……and this happened!” More tears. Blaine had never felt so guilty about anything. Kurt began to wipe tears away from Blaine’s face, making him cry more. “But… I can’t… It’s all my fault…”
“Its not… your fault, i thought… i could do it myself…You made it look easy so i tried to copy… its my own fault… please don’t blame yourself.” Kurt’s tears still rolling down his cheeks, he winced in pain when the icepack slipped. “Don’t cry, it makes me cry.”
“Yeah, I made it look easy, and you copied me. It’s my fault… So stupid…. Must hate me now….” Blaine mumbled, calming down a little bit, but tears still running down his cheeks. He fixed Kurt’s ice pack. “But seeing you in so much pain… Knowing that I was the cause…. I can’t help but cry.”
“No it makes it my fault… i chose to copy, you didn’t know…. i just said i love you didn’t i? That answers that, there is no way… i could ever hate you.” Kurt sniffed, his head was getting numb now and the pain decreased, but Kurt knew that the pain would not vanish complete. He tried to stop crying but Blaine’s tears made it worse.
Blaine hated seeing Kurt in this state, but he knew his crying wasn’t helping. He attempted a small smile and gave Kurt’s hand a squeeze, remembering what they sang in the hammock and beginning to softly sing it. “Come stop your crying it will be alright. Just take my hand, hold it tight. I will protect you from all around you. I will be here, don’t you cry.”
Kurt held onto Blaine’s hand tight, listening to him sing. His eyes forced shut as he lay there. He felt and heard Blaine still there but he couldn’t see him, he tears were slowly stopping. Kurt tried to sit up but his head wouldn’t allow it, he tried to open his eyes but they wouldn’t open no matter how hard he tried.
Blaine watched as Kurt’s eyes shut, and he kept on singing. “For one so small, you seem so strong….” He paused, standing up but keeping Kurt’s hand in his. He lifted Kurt ever so slightly to let Blaine sit on the couch with Kurt’s head on his lap. He wrapped both of his arms around Kurt, finally stopping his crying. “My arms will hold you, keep you safe and warm.”
Kurt felt himself being moved and then something was under him, Blaine? Then he felt arms wrap around him he knew it was him, the hand that was holding the ice pack to his head held onto the hands that held him, like his other hand. The ice pack dropped to the floor.
Blaine picked up the icepack as soon as it fell, putting it on his own chest. He gently guided Kurt’s head to lay on the icepack on his chest so he wouldn’t have to hold it up. Blaine didn’t care that it was making him cold; he cared about making Kurt’s head feel better. “This bond between us can’t be broken. I will be here, don’t you cry.”
Kurt’s body felt weak so he was grateful when Blaine guided him to the ice pack on his chest. Once it was back on he winced quietly, he pulled his eyes open and looked up at Blaine who was looking down at him. Kurt squeezed the hand he was holding and used his spare hand to hold the other, so now both of their hands held each other.
Blaine looked down at Kurt when he opened his eyes, and his heart broke again. Kurt looked like he was in so much pain. “How are you holding up?” Blaine asked, giving both of Kurt’s hands a squeeze and leaning in to kiss his forehead. He stopped singing, desperately waiting for an answer.
“My head hurts, there is this ringing that won’t stop, i feel like there is something trying to get out of my head.” He answered honestly, he squeezed Blaine’s hands back, he thought for a second. “What happened?”
“I didn’t help you out of the hammock and you fell out. I’m so sorry….” Blaine said, shaking his head. If he would’ve just done the gentlemanly thing like usual and helped Kurt, then they wouldn’t be in this mess. “I’m sorry, again. Really.”
“When were we in the hammock?” Kurt asked confused. “I didn’t even know you had one.”
Blaine suddenly became very worried. “Kurt…. what was the last thing you remember?”
Kurt thought hard for a minute. “I remember falling asleep on you outside and now i’m here” he’d forgotten the whole morning.
“So you remember last night?” Blaine asked, not sure if he should be relieved or panicked.
“If you mean the proposal and all the stuff that happened before i fell asleep then yes.” Kurt was even more confused. It had been night and now it was day and he was in a different place… and dressed.
“As long as you remember we’re engaged.” Blaine said with a smile. Kurt still looked confused. “You hit your head and must not remember anything about today.” Blaine tried to explain.
“That i can’t forget” Kurt smiled weakly. “So what have i forgotten?”
Blaine hesitated. He wasn’t sure what to say about what happened before breakfast. “I made you toast. And we came down to swing in mg hammock after I smeared foam in your face.” Blaine said with a laugh.
“You made me toast? I bet that was nice and you smeared foam in my face? Did i get you back?” Kurt smiled.
“I’ll make you toast again later if you want. And yeah, you got me back.” Blaine said, sticking his tongue out at Kurt. He would have to tell him sooner or later, wouldn’t he… “….. and this morning we were kissing and I think I went too far and you practically pushed me off of you. Just so you know.” Blaine said, twisting the ring around Kurt’s finger.
“I’d like that, you know i love toast.” Kurt smiled, his smile faded when Blaine said what happened that morning. “What do you mean you went too far? What did we do?”
“All we did was kiss. Nothing like last night. But I don’t know… don’t worry. We just kissed. Then you practically pushed me off, and it was a little weird for a few minutes. Then it went back to normal.” Blaine explained slowly.
“I’m sorry.” Kurt said quietly. “You can kiss me now if you want.”
“I think I can do that.” Blaine said with a smile, giving Kurt a soft but long kiss. He didn’t want to hurt Kurt’s head and was being as gentle as possible. He pulled back to check on Kurt. “How’s your head?” Blaine asked, smiling down at Kurt.
Kurt kissed him back just as softly. “Still hurts, ringing has stopped, i think a kiss might make it a bit better.” he smiled.
“I’m glad the ringing has stopped.” Blaine raised his eyebrows and laughed quietly. “A kiss might make it better? I’m all for making it better.” Blaine said with a smiled before leaning back down to give Kurt another gently but loving kiss.
Kurt actually meant on the head but he wasn’t going to complain, he returned the kiss that was given to him. Kurt pulled away for a second “i love you.” he said before going back into the kiss.
“I love you too.” Blaine smiled during the second kiss and pulled away after a little while. Kurt still had a hurt head. “Show me where it hurts?” Blaine asked, Kurt’s head and the ice pack still resting on his chest.
