Author's Notes: LOL SORRY DON'T HATE ME OKAY
“You should kiss me.”

Blaine was pretty sure his brain stopped working. All he could do was stare at Kurt, his arms still around his back and their faces dangerously close. He couldn’t move. Kurt looked back, eyes locked on Blaine’s expectantly. When Blaine didn’t seem to make a move, Kurt sighed, rolled his eyes, grabbed Blaine’s face in both his hands and kissed him hard. Kurt seemed nearly desperate, hungry. Blaine was too shocked to react immediately. This couldn’t be happening. Kurt was kissing him and by the time he got to his senses again Kurt had already pulled back.

“No.” Blaine murmured, because as soon as Kurt had pulled away, he wanted him to come back. Even though the kiss had been short and maybe a bit more forceful than Kurt had intended, Blaine had still felt how soft and sweet Kurt’s lips were, how perfectly they seemed to lock with his and although it was messy and the taste of alcohol very distinct, he just wished he could feel that again.

“What?” Kurt started to look worried now. “Why aren’t you – is this cause we’re drunk? Oh god, I shouldn’t have done that, should I? Jesus.” Kurt wriggled himself out of Blaine’s arms, but Blaine grabbed his wrist before he could stagger out of the room.

“Kurt.” Blaine whispered, looking at him. “I – I really want to kiss you. I’ve wanted to – wanted to for a really long time.”

“Then why didn’t you?” Kurt seemed on the verge of tears and it nearly broke Blaine’s heart.

“I just – I couldn’t believe it. I don’t really get beautiful guys to kiss me every day, you know. I just couldn’t believe you’d want me to kiss you.”

“But I want to.” Kurt whined softly. “I really want you to kiss me very much.”

“I –“ Courage, Anderson. “Can I?” Blaine stepped a little closer to Kurt.

“Please.” And Kurt took a step towards Blaine in return. Blaine pulled Kurt close to him; his hand on his cheek and then their lips met again, more gentle this time. Kurt slowly moved his arms back around Blaine’s neck and Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt. And for a while they just stood there, in the middle of the living room, kissing. Blaine felt light headed, although he doubted it was just from the alcohol anymore. He felt Kurt’s hands move, going through his hair and running over his shoulders, while Blaine let his own hands wander a little, too, moving them up and down Kurt’s back. Blaine felt as if they both kept trying to get closer to the other, attempting to melt into each other’s very being. Kurt suddenly let out a soft moan into Blaine’s mouth, grabbed Blaine’s ass and pulled him closer. The contact sent something that felt like an electrical shock through Blaine’s body. He gasped, pulling away from Kurt and staring at him. Kurt’s eyes were dark and filled with this shimmer of something that turned Blaine on even more.

“Blaine.” Kurt whispered, moving to kiss up Blaine’s neck. “Blaine, I – Please.”

“Jesus.” Blaine hissed when Kurt suddenly sucked on the skin below his ear. “Kurt, not here. Not here, please.” Even is in buzzed, aroused state, he figured out that Ginny waking up to find this wouldn’t be the best idea, but dear god, he wanted to keep this going the way it was.

“Yeah. Yeah, okay.” Kurt paused, looking Blaine in the eye, his hands running over Blaine’s chest slowly. He then moved his hands up to cup Blaine’s face and kissed him again. Where the last kiss had been slow and sweet, this one was fierce and full of passion and Blaine slowly started moving towards his bedroom, pulling Kurt along with him. Kurt started pulling on Blaine’s shirt, tugging it out of his jeans. Blaine almost crashed into the table when Kurt bit down on his lip all of the sudden.

“Careful there.” Kurt smiled smugly against his lips.

“Goddammit, Kurt” Blaine let Kurt take his shirt off and his breath hitched when Kurt ran his fingers all over his chest. “Let’s just – can we just –“ Kurt’s fingers were now joined by his lips and Blaine couldn’t even think straight anymore. When Kurt moved up to kiss him on the mouth again, Blaine took the opportunity to place sloppy kisses up and down Kurt’s neck.

“I knew you had evil plans with me.” He gasped softly, bumping into Blaine’s bedroom door.

“Not evil.” Blaine whispered in between kisses. “Just a bit naughty.” Kurt chuckled as he pushed open the door and pulled Blaine inside.

---

The next morning Blaine had a headache. It wasn’t the terrible kind – he’d had worse hangovers, really – but still enough of a headache to make him wake up with a soft groan. It took him a while to realize what had happened last night and why there were two arms around him and a seemingly naked chest pressed to his just as naked back, but when he did, it hit him hard. Kurt was still asleep, his face buried in Blaine’s neck, breathing softly. Blaine was torn between jumping out of bed and staying there in Kurt’s arms. In the end he just laid there, staring ahead with his eyes wide open, tense. Kurt mumbled in his sleep, nuzzling his nose against Blaine. In any other situation, that would’ve been adorable, but right now, Blaine couldn’t appreciate this gesture; he was honestly too busy freaking out over the fact that there was a naked man in his bed. Kurt’s mumbling turned into a yawn and Blaine felt him wake up and he, just like Blaine had done tensed up. But instead of staying in his position he jerked away, but as far as Blaine could tell, he didn’t leave the bed. He didn’t know if Kurt thought he was still sleeping, but he took a gamble and pretended that he’d only just woken up, yawned and turned on his back. When he looked over he saw Kurt clutching the blanket to his chest, staring at the ceiling with a bright red face.

“I – um.” Kurt startled a little at the sound of Blaine’s voice and turned to look at him. “Good morning, I guess.”

“Y-yeah.” Kurt avoided his gaze, turning back to the ceiling. Blaine honestly didn’t know what to do. He felt like they should talk about it, but to be honest, he didn’t really want to and as far as he could tell, Kurt didn’t either. And then he heard something that made his heart drop.Footsteps. Tiny footsteps in the hallway and they were running towards his bedroom.

“Fuck.” Blaine hissed, panicking, but before he could do anything, the door opened.

“Daddy?” Ginny walked in, holding something in her hands. “Daddy, your shirt was on the floor in the hallway, why –“ She stopped in front of the bed, eyeing her dad and Kurt suspiciously.

“Hi, sweetie.” Blaine put on the best smile he could manage at that moment.

“Daddy!” Ginny crossed her arms angrily. “Did you and mister Kurt have a sleepover? That’s so unfair! You told me I couldn’t have a sleepover with Karen just last week!”

“Oh. “ Blaine let out a sigh of relief and Kurt seemed to relax a little as well. “Well, that was a school night, Gin. You can’t have a sleepover on a school night.”

“Ugh. It’s still not fair.” She pouted. She then squinted her eyes, inspecting Blaine. “Aren’t you cold?”

“Huh?” Blaine followed his daughter’s gaze to his chest. “Oh, I – uh – no, not really.” Next to him he felt Kurt clutch the Blanket even closer.

“Well, if you say so.” She shrugged, dumping the shirt on Blaine. “Here you go. And I actually came in because it’s like super late and James is coming to pick me up today to go to the zoo so you have to get up.” Blaine had forgotten all about that. But then again, he’d forgotten about a lot of things in the last 24 hours – common sense and manners, for example.

“That’s okay, I’ll be ready in a minute, okay?” Blaine told Ginny, who huffed, wished Kurt a good morning and walked back out of the room, closing the door behind her. As soon as she closed the door, Blaine took a deep breath and Kurt sat up.

“Close your eyes.” He hissed. Blaine looked up, puzzled. “Please, just – just close them.”

“I – oh. Okay, yeah.” Blaine blushed and looked away, closing his eyes. He heard Kurt get up, gather his things and rush into the bathroom. As he heard the door close, Blaine opened his eyes again and got up himself to put on some boxers and a shirt. He winced a little as he stood up, because well, it’d been a while. He blushed again at the thought. God, he’d been such a fool. Somehow he couldn’t shake the fear that last night had ruined everything. He’d probably never forgive himself if he lost Kurt over this, but he also felt like he would anyway, no matter how he felt about the situation. He’d only just made himself slightly presentable when Kurt’s voice came floating through the bathroom door.

“Can I come back out?” He asked.

“Yeah.” Blaine replied and the door opened. Kurt rushed past, over to where his shoes were still on the floor next to the bed. He grabbed them and sat down to put them on.

“I should’ve been at the store like two hours ago.” Kurt said, tying his laces.

“Oh.” Blaine mumbled. Guess you’re not staying for breakfast then.

“Look, I’m really sorry.” Kurt got up, looking at Blaine with sad eyes. “I really am.”

“Me too.” Blaine didn’t seem able to take his eyes off his feet.

“I have to go.” Kurt opened the bedroom door, silently asking Blaine to follow him. Kurt picked up his bag near the front door and looked back up at Blaine. “I – um – Thanks for dinner.”

“No problem.” Blaine didn’t know what to do. What was one supposed to do in a situation like this? This wasn’t in life’s instruction manual, he was pretty sure.

“Bye, Blaine.” Kurt whispered. He leaned over and kissed Blaine on the cheek. Blushing, he pulled away, opened the door, and almost ran out. Blaine just stood there for about five minutes, before he even thought about closing the door behind him.

“Where’s mister Kurt?” Ginny asked later, sitting at the kitchen table. She had quietly been eating her cereal, watching Blaine sulk on the chair next to her.

“He had to go to the store.” Blaine mumbled. Ginny studied him, putting down her spoon.

“Did you fight?” She asked quietly. “Cause if you did, you have to say sorry.”

“We didn’t fight, Gin.” Blaine sighed. “We just – It’s grown up things, okay?”

“Hmm.” Ginny didn’t seem convinced, but even her seven year old mind seemed to understand that she shouldn’t push any further and Blaine was very grateful for that.

After Sandra and James picked up Ginny to go to the zoo, Blaine changed into his pajamas, took a painkiller, and went right back to bed. He quickly threw the other pillow on the floor. It smelled like Kurt, and right now every thought with Kurt in it seemed to hurt. He didn’t know what to do. Kurt had seemed in such a rush to get out and it could very easily be explained by the need to get to work, but something in the back of his mind kept nagging him about the possibility that he actually couldn’t stand to be near Blaine anymore. The tears seemed to come out of nowhere and soon Blaine was sobbing into his pillow. With every shaky breath he became more and more convinced that Kurt hated him for letting things get as far as they did the night before and that he probably never wanted to see him again. After a while he calmed down a little bit, turned over his pillow – because the side he’d been lying on was completely soaked – and willed himself back to sleep. He woke up when he heard his phone buzz on the nightstand. He picked it up and looked at the screen. It was text from Kurt.

From Kurt Hummel:
Maybe we should talk.

To Kurt Hummel:
What’s there to talk about?

From Kurt Hummel:
You know what I mean.

To Kurt Hummel:
Maybe we shouldn’t.

From Kurt Hummel:
Blaine.

To Kurt Hummel:
I’m sorry.

Blaine looked at his screen, went over to his contacts and, after a moment of hovering above the button, he removed Kurt Hummel from his contacts.

Wow! I didn't see that happening. Still trying to figure out why they both are behaving that way the morning after...

This chapter stumped me as I couldn't truly understand their behavior the morning after.

aaaah, well, i do have my reasons and it will all be explained (hopefully in a decent way), but i do apologize for the confusion/anger/disappointment that I have caused and I offer you a virtual cookie of peace to make it up to you!
