Christine was done preparing dinner so she went to ask Blaine if his guest was staying. Blaine came in after school with a boy named ...Alan?...no...Adam right. Well, they went upstairs to Blaine’s room to do homework and have yet to surface. Christine ascended the stairs to Blaine bedroom, music could be heard wafting through the door. She slowly knocked “Blaine dinner’s ready is Adam staying” no answer. She knocked again and when no answer came she opened the door. On the floor by the desk lay books and homework and phones but no boys. Her eyes shifted to the bed maybe Blaine and Adam were watching a “Oh My Gosh!” BLAINE MICHAEL ANDERSON! Blaine and Adam were on the bed making out feverishly minus a shirt or two, but immediately pulled away when Blaine’s mother screamed out. Blaine looked at his mother in a mixture of fear and shock!

Oh my god this was not how she was supposed to find out! I was going to tell mom and dad next week. Oh my god I’m not ready to be ripped from the closet. Blaine looked to his mom then at Adam who had left the bed put on his shirt and was promptly grabbing his belongings. “Adam Wait!” was all Blaine was able to say as Adam sprinted past his mother and out the door. Blaine looked down in defeat. Not only was his coming out going to be rushed he also probably lost his first potential boyfriend. So close.

“Blaine what was that!” said Christine who was taking shallow steps towards her youngest son as if he would bite her. Great is she really going to have me say it out loud! “Mom I’m ...” but he was cut off by his mother. “Whatever you have to say you’ll wait until your father is home.” “Honey where are you?” as if on cue. She yelled down “be there in a second dear” she glared pointedly at Blaine and told him to come down for dinner.

Dinner was going fine Cooper was talking about his day, Dad was listening intently, Mom pretended to listen with a fake smile on her face. I just pushed my food around hoping to put off the inevitable but I was not so lucky. “What’s the matter B your awfully silent today did you have a bad day?” Cooper said through a mouthful of peas. At this his mother looked up and said “Yes Blaine tell us how your day was?” “Have any friends over?” Blaine paled at this question what was she doing she knows what happened!

Apparently he didn’t answer fast enough because his mother started in “Blaine came home with a friend named Andrew today” Blaine almost died on the spot, he felt his heartbeat stop momentarily. Cooper almost did a spit take across the dinning room table and his father looked up and said “that’s nice dear.” “I found our son and that boy on his bed making out” she said with a look of disgust on her face. Oh my god this is not happening at the dinner table and my mother did not just out me to my family did she? BLAINE! What is the meaning of this what were you doing with a boy? OK here it goes! Blaine knew he could do this, he did it before with Cooper. He gave himself a pep talk. Blaine you knew this talk has been coming for at least a month now so just do it. Blaine took a deep breath turned to his father and said the words he has been dreading to say to his parents. “I’m Gay.”
