Chapter 2.
Two days passed and Blaine sat in his and Kurt's old room going through all of their photo's. He'd been trying to sort them into three piles, Keep -Throw - Kurt , but the Keep and Kurt had become the same, and the throw pile was empty and there were no photo's left for him to sort. He sighed and flopped backwards on the bed next to all of the photo's, or the Keep-Kurt pile if you will. Kurt had played a bigger part in his life than he'd noticed.
How was he supposed to deal with this? It had just ended so quickly and he had no idea why. He knew Kurt still loved him, but he also knew there was no getting him to change his mind on this. Kurt was a determined person, there was never any stopping him once he'd made up his mind. It was one of the things Blaine loved most about him, but was now standing against him.
Blaine pulled out his phone and called the one person he still had left. He'd seen Kurt walk into the building with Rachel and Finn, so they were off limits. His parents had disowned him upon his moving to New York, so he found himself calling Cooper.
"Hey lil brother!" Cooper answered, smile evident in his voice. "Boy trouble?"
"How did you-" Blaine began.
"You've been mope Facebooking."
"What? I have not! I haven't even put up a status in two weeks!" Blaine argued.
"Comments lacking kisses and smiley faces. You always overdose on them, so when you're lacking I knew something had happened. So what is it?"
"Kurt dumped me."
"WHAT?" He heard choking form the other end of the phone line and figured Cooper had been drinking when he'd told him.
"Yep. Out of the blue, came home about a week and a half ago, and just did it. He said he loves me but he has to do this to keep us safe or something like that." Blaine sighed, looking at all the photo's of them both.
"No way." Cooper sighed too. "Klaine broke up. Fuck ABC, that's news!"
Blaine laughed slightly. "Tell me about it. I dunno- I just wanted to talk to someone I guess."
"Well, you want me advice? Don't give up on him. Ever. He'll come around, trust me."
"Thanks Coop, but I think-"
"Ah! No. I said trust me. Okay?"
"Coop-"
"AH! Again! Trust me?"
"Fine." Blaine said, beaten. "Thanks Coop. See ya."
"Bye hobbit!" Cooper chimed. Blaine hung up and, questioning the sanity of his brother, decided to put his words into action, putting all the photo's back in their original box.

"Kurt!" Rachel knocked on his door. "Kurt Hummel, open this door now!"
The door slid open and Rachel immediately felt sorry for the boy with the tear stricken eyes and face. She pulled him into her arms. "Kurt, honey what's wrong?"
"I was listening to my iPod and "I want to hold your hand" came on, and I just- I just sat there for ages, it just hit something in me. Then I remembered being in the hospital with my Dad and then I just remembered that whole week, the whole church thing, thinking I was losing my Dad. I just- what if this keeps happening? What if all the bad stuff keeps coming back like this to upset me?" Kurt cried into her neck.
"Shh." She soothed him. Pulling away she said, "Look at me." She held him by the shoulders gently. "You are going to remember everything slowly, and yeah, shit's happened to you, but you'll remember the funny stuff and the good memories too." She said pointedly.
"Like what?" Kurt snivelled.
Blaine. She thought, but shook it away.
"Singing on Broadway for the first time with me?" She suggested, it being one of the only non-Blaine memories she could muster up.
Kurt's eyes lit up as he wiped them. "I love you Rachel Berry." He smiled.
"I love you too, Kurt Hummel." She giggled.
"Oi! No stealing my wife!" Finn called from the kitchen, where he was eating a bag of Doritos, making both of them laugh.
"Can't count on it." Kurt teased, linking fingers with her.

2 floors down Blaine was sat with his guitar on his lap, running over the chords for the show he had in three days time. He eventually grew bored and moved over to the piano and played through his set list on there too. He hadn't noticed Finn entering the apartment until he'd layed a hand on Blaine's shoulder. Blaine jumped slightly and then saw it was Finn.
"Dude! Knock? Why did I give you a key again?" Blaine sighed as he picked up his music.
"Sorry." Finn chuckled. "Didn't mean to scare you, I just wanted to see if you were coping okay man, we haven't talked face to face since it happened."
"I'm okay." Blaine replied nonchalantly.
"Cut the crap man." Finn smiled slightly as he got two beers out. "You're still a brother to me, even if it's not like by law or something."
"Thanks man." Blaine said genuinely. "I-uh, I'm coping. It just-ugh! It feels wrong you know? Like part of me's gone."
Finn smiled sympathetically. "Been there man. Just, do the show on Friday. Kurt'll come in to get a cup of coffee and just, talk to him. He might be off, er- a lot off even. But go with it. I'll explain after, I just need you to act natural when you first talk to him. Kay?"
"You make no sense Finn." Blaine laughed, "But I'll do it. I'll do anything to get him back" Blaine sighed.
"Dude, it'll be okay, trust me." Finn said.
Blaine went to reply but was interrupted by Finn's phone going. "It's Rach. I'm probably needed for a high shelf or something." Finn joked and Blaine laughed. "See you, Blaine."
"Bye, Finn. And uh-thanks." Blaine smiled.
"No problem." Finn smiled back, closing the door behind him.
Blaine sat back down at the piano. He should probably practise if it had his relationship depending on it.
-
"Finn! I'm not thirsty! Why do I have to buy a coffee." Kurt whined as they stood by the door.
"Just do it!" Finn ordered. "Me and Rachel wanna watch the show anyway."
"If he shows up this week." Kurt murmured not impressed at singing mans punctuality.
"He's amazing. Trust me." Rachel grinned. "Just go and get a coffee, then if you really don't want to stay for the show we'll leave after."
"Ugh! Fine!" Kurt groaned walking inside. He saw the performer on stage and was immediately taken by his good looks. "Whoa! Rachel! You didn't tell me he was that fit." Kurt choked out, looking at the man who was tuning his guitar, focus written into his triangular eyebrows.
Rachel chuckled. "Well, he is. Now go get your coffee." She smiled and sat down next to Finn as Kurt walked off. "You sure this'll work?" She asked.
"I think so." Finn replied, staring at them both.

Blaine looked up from his guitar and saw him; perfect as ever. He tried hard not to look so dazzled, but it was him, Kurt, and he was there and he knew Blaine had a show today and he'd shown up. Blaine was completely ecstatic as he walked towards Kurt completely unaware of everything.
