Blaine, Kurt, Thadeous and Michael stood in the lobby of the hotel as they waited for the police to show up.

They had gotten the call the previous evening that the cops would arrive early the next night and Kurt was growing more and more anxious by the second. Blaine must have picked up on this because his hand descended on Kurt's shoulder to make him stop pacing.

"I'm sorry, I can't help it. I don't understand why we need to wait for their report when we know it was Karofsky."

"Legalities," answered Thadeous, "we can't do anything until there's been a proper investigation."

"I still think it's stupid."

"As does everyone else," Blaine told him, "but when you live as long as a vampire you tend to take longer with things."

"Here they come," Michael stated, standing on his toes to get a better view through the glass doors.

The two vampires and two humans watched as three people exited the police crusier. They were too far away to tell but judging by their clothing only two of them were offical police officers while the third person must have been the werewolf.

As they drew closer, Kurt could make out their faces and his heart suddenly skipped a beat before accelerating to an abnormal level.

"Kurt, what's wrong?"

Kurt didn't reply, only kept staring at the werewolf. She couldn't possibly who he thought she was. There was no way.

But it was.

"I know her," he whispered.

"The werewolf?" asked Thadeous.

"You see any other 'her' around?" he snapped.

"Behave yourself," Blaine scolded him.

"Who is she?" Thadeous inquired, seemingly unfazed by Kurt's waspishness.

Kurt opened his mouth to answer but the police and werewolf were already in front of them.

The police began speaking with Blaine, but Kurt wasn't really listening. He was still staring with wide-eyed shock at Santana who was now apparently a werewolf.

The dark-skinned girl grinned at him and held a finger to her lips to tell him to keep quit.

Kurt glanced around to see if anyone else had noticed the gesture but it looked like noone had.

"Now, Lopez here would like to speak to you in private," one of the officers told Blaine.

"Private?" Blaine looked at Santana in confusion. "What for?"

"I have my reasons," she said. "What are you afraid I'm going to bite you?"

"Of course not," replied Blaine, "come on, we'll speak in my hotel room."

"Your human can come too."

"Oh, he'd come if you wanted him to or not."

"Really, and here I thought you people train them to be your perfect sex slaves."

Kurt would have smacked her arm for such a rude remark, but he valued his life too much to take such a risk. Even if she were still human he would have held back.

As soon as they were safely away from everyone else and Blaine had shut the door behind them, Santana turned to Kurt.

"Hey, Lady," the werewolf said, looking Kurt up and down.

Blaine straightened up, lips parting slightly to show his fangs. "I would ask you not to insult my lover, werewolf."

"It's okay, Blaine," Kurt said slowly, "Santana never really bothers with peoples' given names."

"Except Brittany's," Santana pointed out.

"Speaking of which, is she a werewolf now too?"

"No. Just me. We figured it would be better that way."

"We?"

"Wait," Blaine inturrupted, "what the hell is going on?"

"Isn't obvious, vampire? Kurt and I grew up in the same rebel colony and now I'm here to bust him out."

Santana took a step towards Blaine and Kurt quickly rushed up to put himself between the two of them.

Santana rolled her eyes, "Kurt, what are you doing?"

"Santana, listen to me. You can't attack him even if I wanted you to. He's a count and the repercussions would be awful for you."

"Quite," agreed Blaine, "plus, even if you do have advanced strength in this form you'd still be no match for a vampire out of wolf form."

"Oh, I wouldn't count on that, Blaine," Kurt told him. "She's lible to have more then one trick up her sleeve."

"I can't believe this. Have you been brain-washed by him?"

"I can assure you, I'm in my right mind. Blaine's not our enemy."

Kurt then went on to explain how they had rescued Rachel, Puck and Artie and the four of them were still trying to track down the rest of their colony before Julia decided she was out for Blaine's blood.

During his story, Santana's eyes never moved from Blaine's which sent a shiver down Kurt's spine. She looked like a cat ready to catch a mouse.

"Where's everyone else then?"

"They have their own room a few doors down from us."

"Okay, vampire, why don't you go and get them. I don't want to explain everything more then once."

Blaine frowned at her, but left, squeezing Kurt's shoulder on his way out.

"So how'd you get here if he's 'on our side'?" Santana challenged Kurt.

So Kurt gave her an abbreviated version of how Blaine had resuced him from the slave auction.

She snorted, "So I was right, he did 'buy' you. Sounds just like any of the others to me."

Kurt ignored that statement to ask a question of his own.

"Why are you helping the police?"

"I'll tell you as soon as Puck, Artie and Rachel get here."

"And Blaine," Kurt added.

"I don't want him in here. You may have been stupid enough to trust him but that doesn't mean I am."

Kurt gritted his teeth, "Santana, everything I've told you is true. We can trust him," he paused. "Besides, it will look strange if he's found without me and you would have to make him leave the hall completly otherwise he'll just hear everthing you say anyway."

Santana glared at him and he swore he heard a real growl viberating in her throat.

"Fine. Whatever. He can stay."

At that moment, the door opened and in came Artie, Puck and Rachel, followed closly by Blaine.

"Santana!" Rachel said in suprise.

Evidently, Blaine hadn't said anything to them.

"What are you doing here?" asked Artie, "I mean, don't get me wrong I'm happy to see that you're okay, but...did Blaine find you?"

"Why are you wearing a badge that says 'police assitent' on it?" asked Puck, squinting at the writing on the silver badge that was pinned to the front of her shirt.

"It's a long story. Shut the door, vampire, I don't anyone overhearing this."

Blaine did as he was instructed before going to sit down in a chair; watching the old rebel members carefully.

"So spill," Puck demanded, "where have you been?"

"You all might want to sit down; like I said, it's a long story and there might be a few things that surprise you."

Once Rachel, Kurt and Puck were all seated, Santana began.

"I'll start right after we split up during the raid. Brittany, Quinn and I decided to head into the forest to look for a place to hide until morning. We were lucky enough to find this old cabin in the middle of the woods and decided to sleep there.

"It wasn't until the next morning that we learned it belonged to a couple of werewolves."

"Wait, so those exist?" Artie asked.

"Oh yeah, they exist," she grinned.

Kurt waited for her to tell the other three that she was now one herself but she seemed to think it best to retain the information at the moment.

"So anyway, these two werewolves--Craig and Luanne--didn't freak out or anything when they found three humans in their cabin. Instead, they asked us if we had been hiding from the vampires that had shown up last night.

"When we told them that we were, they were sympathetic and said we could stay with them.

"We did because we didn't know what else to do and it's not like we could go and try and find you guys. Besides, we saw so many of you get captured that we figured you would have been enslaved and it would have been even harder to get any of you back...and it looks like I was right."

She cast a dark look at Blaine and Kurt rolled his eyes.

"He's not going to do anything to us, Santana, how many times must I tell you?"

"Yeah, he's cool," agreed Artie, smiling at the count as he said this.

Blaine smiled back and nodded his thanks.

"Okay, we get it, Blaine's not as much of a psycho as the rest of them," said Puck. "Can we just let Santana get on with her story?"

"Right, as I was saying, we couldn't just go out and look for you guys and Craig and Luanne couldn't do anything either until the next full moon and that wasn't for another month.

"Anyway, while we were with Craig and Luanne, they introduced us to their friends--werewolves who were on the inside of the vampires' tyranny. Turns out, they're planning an uprising against the vampires that will work in our favor--humans I mean."

"That's impossible!" Blaine interrupted, "The vampire king keeps just as close an eye on the werewolves as he does humans. One of his captains would have found out about this plan by now."

"Well they haven't, Anderson, so shut up."

"When do you plan to strike?"

Santana laughed, "Yeah, I'm going to tell you that so you can go running to your king and warn him."

"Santana--," Kurt began.

"You can be quit too, Lady."

Kurt gave her a bitchy glare but held his tongue.

"Anyway as soon as we heard about this plan, Quinn, Brittany and I agreed to help in any way that we could."

"Is that why you're a werewolf now?" asked Kurt.

Rachel, Puck and Artie stared at him and then looked to Santana in shock.

"Santana glared at Kurt and he curled his lip into a sly smile.

"Yes," she answered.

"You're a werewolf!" exclaimed Rachel.

"Keep your voice down, Yentl," Santana snapped.

"Shit," said Puck, "as if you weren't bad enough as a human, now you have claws and fangs too."

"Thank you, Puckerman."

"How does getting turned into a werewolf help?"

"I was getting to that, Hummel, if all of you would just shut up. The reason I volunteered to be turned into a werewolf is because our informants found out that Anderson over there was buying more huamns which was apparently strange since he'd always been on their side before.

"Naturally, I thought that that proved werewolves were just as gulible as anyone else. Then they told me the name of the human he had bought a few months ago and I was sure it had to be you."

She looked at Kurt.

"And then the discriptions of the other two humans he had recently purchased and I thought it had to be Pucka and Artie."

"That still doesn't explain why you're a werewolf," Puck observed.

"Isn't it obvious? The werewolves figured it would be easier to get you guys out of here if you knew the person sent to break you out. You'd be more likely to trust someone you know."

"So you came here to save us?"

"What part of that was hard for you to understand, Berry?"

"Wait, so does that mean you're going to kill Blaine?"

Kurt whacked Puck on the shoulder for the suggestion before going to stand beside his lover.

"Is that supposed to protect him, Lady?"

Baline rose to his feet and stood before the werewolf. The count stood about two or three inches taller then Santana so he managed to look a little more imposing then her.

"I asked you not to insult my lover, werewolf. Now, why don't you tell me exactly what it is you and the rest of the werewolves are planning."

"No. If you want to know what's going on then you can come with me to talk with them, but we're brinning Kurt, Puck, Artie and Rachel with us."

"Deal," he said. "Do you have an excuse as to why I would be going with you anywhere?"

She snorted, "Of course not. I figured I'd have killed you by now and me and my old colony members would be sneeking out of here."

"Well you had better think of something fast. It would look suspicious if I just left without any reservations when there's someone out there trying to do me in."

In the end, Santana decided to tell the two cops she had arrived with that Baline wished to examine the scent himself to confirm that it was indeed Karofsky.

Kurt had thought that that was the dumbest excuse in the world, but the police seemed to think this was completly understandable. They also raised no questions about Blaine having so many humans accompying him.

Fortunately, none of the other coven members were around to ask awkard questions.

They took Blaine's limo to Lima and Kurt soon recognized the scenery as they drew closer to his old home. They stopped a little outside of the forest that had been close to their base and exited the vehicle.

"Um, are you sure I'll be okay in there?" Artie asked, sweeping his eyes over the uneven terrain skeptically.

"Of course you will be. There's trail that we're going to take. Come on."

Craig and Luanne's cabin was in the heart of the woods. As they approached, Kurt noticed that it was a little bigger then he had pictured.

Santana knocked on the front door and it was opened a crack before being flung wide open and Santana was suddenly tackled by Brittany.

"I missed you," the blonde girl said.

"I missed you too, sweetie."

Brittany let go of her and embraced Artie, Puck, Rachel and Kurt before turning to Blaine.

"Are you the vampire who found everyone?"

"Um, yes, I suppose I am."

Brittany grinned and flung her arms around Blaine's neck.

"I knew you had to be nice. Thank you for taking care of them."

"Um, you're very welcome. It was a pleasure having them there."

"I bet it was," a gravely voice said.

They all turned to see a hulking man standing in the doorway of the cabin with a severe-looking woman standing beside him.

"Everyone, this is Craig and Luanne," Santanta introduced them.

"Why'd you bring the vampire here?" demanded Luanne.

"I couldn't help it. He refused to leave Kurt and Kurt's in the same mind-set about him."

Kurt extended his hand towards the werewolves, "Hello, I'm Kurt Hummel and I'm with Blaine of my own accord."

"Yeah, I can tell," said Craig, "you're eyes don't look dull as they would be under hypnosis."

"What do you want from us then, vampire?" Luanne looked Blaine up and down with distrust.

"I only want to speak with you. Santana said something about how you're people wish to overthrow the vampire king and I'd like to know just what it is you plan to do. I'm not one of his spys so I have no true corospondence with him. None of it will get back to him, this I swear to you."

Craig and Luanne stood there summing him up. Kurt could swear he felt the tension slowly becoming more and more strained as they stood there for what felt like hours.

Finally, Craig sighed.

"Fine, as long as you're here you might as well know what's going on. But we want to hear why you've been running around buying slaves left and right."

"That's an easy enough story."

"Then get in here," Luanne snapped.
